Are u really serious? How much do u think he can sell the car even though he just bought it. So after spending a lot of money to put a car in a state he wants it to be then he should sell it. Then what? Add more money, buy another one and start spending money AGAIN to put it in the state that he wants?

If used shocks are more expensive than new, then try to imagine how much the used ones cost when they were new (They were new before they become used). That is to tell u the new ones u saw are substandard. But really i don't expect u to spend too much on oem parts for a 15 year old car.

Don't under estimate the talents we have in this country. It's just a honda, a civic for that matter, not even a hybrid.

Earlier this week I was shopping for a galaxy s6 to buy. I discussed with different sellers online and came to agreement with one. He claimed the phone is new , sealed and in a box. We agreed on a price of 90k and I had to drive a few km to meet him for the transaction. On getting there, I saw the phone, without even opening it I knew it was a fake. This guy claimed he had sold 2 of those phones and I could imagine someone shelling out 90k to buy a fake Chinese phone. This is what prompted me to create the topic.

The best way to buy an original s6 is to go to a reputable shop to buy it, but those things are pretty expensive. The 32gb version goes for like 125k and price can range to 150k depending on the memory and shop.
1. THE BOX

The box of the original s6 should be 2. There's always a slab above the the main box. The slab is where SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 is imprinted while the main box only has SAMSUNG written on it. If the phone u are buying has only one box, then it's probably a fake. The picture below is the real packaging of a genuine galaxy s6.

2. BACK OF THE BOX

On the real s6, the back of the box has a detailed print of the features of the phone. The texts are normally written from top to bottom. If ur phone has minimal text then it's probably fake. The image below is the real galaxy s6.

If ur box is like the image below it is probably fake.

The one on the left is genuine while the one on the right is fake.

Also look for a Samsung sticker containing serial number, barcode and imei. The fake s6 most likely would not have those stickers.

So what if the seller does not provide the box? Well there are still ways to spot a fake s6. The most reliable way is to boot the phone into download mode. Turn off the phone, then press the power button, volume down button and home button at the same time. The phone will boot into Odin and it will display vital informations about the phone like model number and will tell if the phone is genuine or not.

A fake phone will always show something written in Chinese like the image below .

Always there are a few hardware differences. For example the sim tray. The hole of the nano sim slot is located on top in the original s6 while most fakes have the hole on the bottom.

Also the display of the real s6 is very sharp and beautiful (one of the most vibrant around. ) it is a qhd display while a fake one is probably just 720p. U will never be able to see the pixels with ur naked eyes on the real thing while the fake ones are pixilated. Also many of the fake ones are running older version of Android but when u check the software info in abut phone, it would show 5.0. But keep pressing it and u will see the real software info which is usually kitkat or ics.

So if u are out there shopping for a galaxy s6 and don't have enough to buy from a reputable shop, think twice and look carefully so u don't end up spending ur hard earned money on a fake. Remember if the price is too good to be true then it's probably a fake. The thing is some people has the fake of this phone and don't even know it is fake.

Chucky chucky, why u want bring this issue again? I never called u a scammer, u can go back and read all my comments. Anyone expecting to buy a naija used car is expecred to know he will spend some money to put the car in the state he wants it to be. What might be an issue to the new buyer might not be an issue to the old owner (seller). For example, the car might have a defective side mirror and the old owner doesn't see it as an issue, however the new owner might see it as an issue. That is why it is good to inspect a car physically before payment.

However if the buyer is not around to inspect the car, then the seller should at least state most of the problems the car has before taking payment.

U can't talk like that. When someone advertise something and say its got clean interior and exterior, with no scratches, then it should at least be close to what was advertised regardless of how much u bought it. If I advertise something, for example a Nigerian used iPhone 6 for 50k and I tell u its working perfectly. U call me and state ur interest and ask me to tell u what's wrong with the phone and I tell u absolutely nothing. U pay for the phone and on getting it u found out the screentouch is bad, the Sim tray is missing and the phone no dey even see network. Would u be happy? Meanwhile, I no see any mention of time of payment in Gazzuzz's post. He told us everything he intends to do with this car but he forgot to add at which point the OP will be getting his cash assuming he wants the offer . Nice advert for the digital car solution guy, btw.

U need to relax, Gazzuzz agreed to buy the car no matter the state the car is, and not after inspection (his post was very clear). He didn't say he would buy it after inspection, but he said he would buy it and also pay for repairs. That is fair enough. I don't support scammers, but it is also good to think outside the box. Op was angry, he did the same thing I would if I was in his shoes. But someone has offered a solution which is a win win for the op.

What helped me in forming that impression is your ability not to stand by your words. I mean, the mark of an honest man is his ability to make his word his bond. Chucky's name has already been tarnished here and he needs to work hard to gain the trust of his future customers. I know some customers can be super difficult as I'm a biz woman myself but always, the first rule of business : you are in business cos of your customer so always go out of your way to please/ satisfy them.

If the dealer had made away with ego and false self pride, he might not necessarily give dealer the 50K, a few soothing but right words here and there would have down the trick.

Long story short: dealer brought this upon himself.

Very correct. Money is not everything, as a businessman/woman u should be able to talk ur way out of difficult situations without having to part with money. Ego and business don't work together.

I am still waiting for an answer to this question (no brakes, abs failed, power steering pump condemned etc) and the vehicle still made it to portharcourt in time ...... But from observation of most comments I have come to the realization that some don't even know how to drive, a lot don't have cars and many more are just in love with the word scam! Not forgetting those who feel they have an axe grind.
I have said it before and I am saying it again, the two pictures posted by oseri is not enough to declare the car bad for that amount since every other evidence is hearsay.
Oseri has constantly promised to post pictures but have failed to do so, I believe the onus is on him to prove this guy is a scam(bringing me to my first post on the matter) .

And to you chucky234 you are Still not helping matters, you continue to fan this flame, forgetting you are the worst hit by it.

My 2cents, if you must sell or buy your car please let both parties see it first to avoid stories that touch because this tori get better k-leg.

A car with faulty abs, failed wheel cylinder on one of the wheels (so far the master still works), bad power steering pump, faulty airbag, bad 02 sensors, erratic gear shifting; can still drive from Lagos to kano and back. That a car can travel long distance doesn't mean all is well with the car. Go look at commercial buses or cars that do long distance, lots of them have features that are not working. But then to most Nigerians, once a car can move from point a to point b then it means all is well.

Bros, u will find every car at mechanics shop, from the smallest Nissan micra to range rover sport to g wagon. But the rx300 is NOT notorious for transmission problems. That car has one of the best transmission found in any car. Best selling mid size luxury SUV in the USA for many years bro, if it had transmission problem it wouldn't be selling that much. Reason u are seeing lots of them in Nigeria now is because the car sold millions in the states and owners are upgrading to newer models.

Blame the Nigerian owners that use vegetable oil in place of recommended oil. In my street someone just imported an accidented 2009 rx350 for sale. It had a front impact and it affected the radiator and bonnet. First the kazeem fixing the car changed the radiator and connected the fans directly. And they changed the oil using Mobile xhp, but the one that really made me pity the would be buyer is the fact they poured seahorse into the transmission.

Forget about paying back the money, its not gonna work. Unless op is ready to part with some money.

First of all 30k for registration and 20k for driver WILL NOT be refunded.

66k for repairs won't be refunded either. And it is likely op has spent some money on the car himself. So in a nutshell, if the car is to be returned op should be ready to lose about 120k (I didn't include 14k battery as that can be returned since chucky didn't buy the battery).

So if op is ready to lose this much, then he should return the car. If not he should work out with chucky and get at least some money for repair, or just take this as a lesson and move on. I am not in support of chucky, what he did was despicable and the way he responds here only shows he has no remorse.

Dear u don try abeg, I really feel ur pain.

My own observations:

1. Chucky knew the car was not in pristine condition and was trying to collect all the money before he delivers the car. That was why his phone was unreachable and gas the mechanic squeeze out 66k from u for repairs.

2. Chucky knew u would never pay the 100k balance when u see the condition of the car. Hence mechanic had to come up with excuses like widows not working, atf leaking, maf sensor, etc. All these in an attempt to squeeze out as much as possible from the 100k balance. Chicky had to switch off his phone so u won't have to call him and deal with the driver directly.

3. If all those faults the car had that made u spend 66k before bringing to pH, coupled with the ones u discovered (bad brakes, airbags are major faults), then the car is not qualified as clean as advertised.

4. Chucky did not bother to collect his balance of 100k from u because he has already collected most of it in deceit. 66k repair and 14k battery that in total is 80k.

What is with the Abuja airport road? If road no good we go complain, now road good but accident every time. Is it a crime to have a world class road again? People should drive with clear, don't say because road is good then start over speeding. Also people should keep their cars maintained.

Man i wonder how some of you easily allow your business names and goodwill to go up in smoke. Accept the damn truth... You sold the man a lemon. What you sold him was in stark contrast to what you advertised. In your own words'' clean interior and well maintained'' was what you wrote,only for him to see the opposite.

Obviously you are not adept at conflict resolution else you wont have allowed this issue to get to this level. What stopped you from reaching out to the OP? He is your customer for crying out loud! You owe it to him to satisfy him so as to possibly ensure a repeat purchase. Instead you are here arrogantly digging your head into the sand like an Ostrich. It takes one disgruntled customer to ruin your business,and your reputation, your integrity,your goodwill will be gone. You are nothing without your clients. Absolutely nothing!

The earlier you stop uttering disgusting threats to your clients and focus on resolving your issues with them the better for you. The earlier you realize that arrogance aint taking you nowhere,the better for your personality.

Man up and apologize to the OP. Call him and resolve this issue in order to salve the remnants of your diminished goodwill.
