It is now getting clearer that Africans especially Nigerians are their own number 1 enemies. We hate ourselves at home and also hate ourselves abroad. Wtf. And when we are denied visas some people will come here and talk rubbish. I'm very sure if tables were to turn and Nigeria becomes UK or USA, will we allow foreigners to come in, hustle and make money in our country while we show them love? I strongly doubt that because we haven't fixed our own internal problems. Yoruba hating on Igbo and vise versa. |
andee4real:Between 650-750 RPM. If u are having irrational idling then u might want to perform an idle learn procedure for Honda, that is provided u have not altered the factory settings. |
0rex:Nobody would release such a heavy duty truck just to pull a keke, whether connection or not. The only logical thing here is probably the truck just happened to be around where the accident happened and they seized the opportunity to use it. |
I swear only me fit carry that keke with my bare hands. |
chucky234:Personal preference bro. I've driven both cars, but just because I like Honda doesn't mean I have to like all their cars. I prefer the Rx. No denying the latest MDX looks a lot better, but so does the latest Rx. Oh. And I hate that the navigation screen of first generation MDX only works for navigation and no media support. For nigeria that screen us useless, it Its as good as not being there. The newer models have 2 screens which is an improvement but can also be complicated. |
chucky234:Of course I do. I don't like the shape of the mdx especially the first gen (2000-2006). It has the body of a full class but features of a mid class. Prefer the Rx design year vs year. |
chucky234:I be confirm Honda guy. I would choose a civic over a corolla, accord over a Camry (any day). But I would choose a Lexus Rx over an acura MDX. Shey make we start? |
I keep saying this, Africans are problem to Africans and the rest of the world. If that was done by a white man we will all say RACISM. Seriously we hate ourselves a lot more than the white man hates us. This is why Africans are killing themselves in south Africa, now killing ourselves in Italy. Must we constitute nuisance wherever we go? If I hear anybody talk racism for here. |
matrixme:That's whst u think? OK let me reason like u. Whst if God used the incident to prevent the owner from going to where he wanted to go with the car, maybe there was a bigger disaster or even death waiting for him there. U still think he didn't pray well or it was his prayer that was actually working. |
linearity:The original poster said tree appears to be lively with rotten roots. How do u know a root is rotten since u can't see it from the outside. Whichever way, like I said it is act of God if it happens naturally and insurance will not take care of it. If the owner knew the root was rotten and still packed there, it is his negligence, either way the owner still bears the cost. |
abbsal:Insurance don't cover natural disaster. |

Kazeem this kazeem that. In reality most of the so called reputable shops are kazeems in corporate clothing, including the popular automedics. I had an experience last year. My 2005 Honda accord had a few problems sometines last year, the engine was vibrating, why engine was shorting oil and the car takes a longer time to accelerate. I took it to one reputable shop in oregun. First they charged me 10,000 naira for scan( I have my own scanner and have already pulled out some codes but they insisted they must use their own scanner). After the 10k, they gave me a long list , from abs pump, abs sensors, baro sensor throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor, ecu, etc etc. The total bill was 390,000 (yes, three hundred and ninety thousand naira). I asked them will that stop the engine shorting oil, they said NO. That they will first solve all that and then later drop the engine and that would be another bill entirely which would cost another 300k. I just kukuma told them I'll be back, took my car to my kazeem, bought a tokunbo engine for 180k and throttle position sensor for 25k and car came back to life. The car has been wonderful since then, I spent about 220k fixing what a 'reputable shop' wanted to fix for 700k plus. Now who is the real kazeem here? We are too quick to blame kazeem when it is obvious we all need them. How many people can dare take their cars to Honda place or coscharis or Toyota? The truth is most of these reputable shops don't know what they are doing. What they do is throw every parts at ur car, (both faulty and good ones), at the end they know one of the parts will solve the problem rather than actually taking time to trace a problem. and they end up charging exorbitant fees. Oh and at the end they still want to charge me 10k for servicing (changing of oil and filter), and guess which oil they use? Mobil super xhp 20w50 for a 2005 Honda accord. Who's is the real kazeem here? These are cooperate kazeems. Hit like if u think kazeems are the reason most of us could drive our cars. |

Driving inside traffic is not the best way to calculate mpg. We don't know the level of traffic or how much traffic, approximate distance from egbeda to oniru, etc. Ur car is a v6 and they are not good on gas when it cones to slow traffic. Also if u have ur fans connected directly and thermostat removed (90% of eod in lagos have that, with check end be light) it won't do good on ur gas. |
Honda HR-V is not a new addition. It has been available since 1999, suspended in 2006 and resurfaced in 2015. I have a friend that has the 2000 model Honda HR-V.

Mishydoo:If u are thinking like that then u are not ready to buy a car. Even Ferraris catch fire, Paul walker died in a Porsche that caught fire after hitting a tree. No car is 100% perfect, u just have to zero ur mind. That a peugeot 406 engine caught fire doesn't mean Peugeots engines are prone to that. I've seen brand new car that got transmission problem within 6 months, same car might last 20 years with someone else without developing transmission problem. U shouldn't spend too much time reading these online reviews, because when u eventually make ur choice, let's say u decided to buy the Toyota and God forbid it has major problems within a short while, then u would be crying 'I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE PEUGEOT'. Same thing if u bought the Peugeot and got major problems, then u would cry 'I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE TOYOTA'. Button line is, no car is 100% perfect, just do ur normal maintenance and pray u don't get UNLUCKY. Yes u need luck. Why? Because u are buying a used car (a 14 year old car for that matter ). U can never expect it to serve u like a new car with warranty and all that. |
GAZZUZZ:Oga gazzuz, nice one. But come to think of it, weren't u the one that invented the name KAZEEM? |
Hi 0rex:exactly what I was trying to explain. Actual fuel in the tank can be as much as 10L above the normal gauge, same way fuel in the reserve can be as much. A car showing red fuel warning can still go as far as 50km in some cars. |
It is not a trick, lots of people like overfilling their tank (I been doing that in the past myself). U should stop filling ur tank once u hear the first click, but people would like to fill their tank until the fuel spills on the ground. The extra fuel that is forced into the tank would make it look like ur fuel burns slower on full tank. Also ur car reserve is big, in some cars there are extra 20 liters once the low fuel light comes up. Also u need extra room in ur gas tank to allow gasoline to expand. Whenever I overfill my car, I get this 'check gas cap' warning on my instrument cluster. I never knew the cause of this until recently when I stopped overfilling then I never got the warning again. Overfilling ruins ur car's EVAP system. U might want to check this link. http://www.epa.gov/donttopoff/ |
lomomike:Oga mike, pardon my ignorance. Shey no be radiator be that thing wey dey make my steering soft. |
femi4:No I don't, but u can help us all by showing me what it looks like. |
royallord1:15k might be on the high side, but seriously if u go to a reputable shop then the amount they charge for scanning is not too far away, (around 10k). U need to invest in a hand scanner at least to pick up simple codes rather than paying someone to scan ur car every time. Some scanners are less than 10k and will pick some basic codes (though might not pick up more complex ones). And with 40k u can get a good scanner. Owning a car is far more than ability to drive it or buy fuel, it goes beyond that. |
femi4:I'm also talking from experience. Are u saying it is only radiator that can cause a car to overheat? I can almost guarantee that u are the type that remove thermostat, run fan directly and change to double radiator just to solve overheating. |
femi4:And what if the radiator is not the problem? Changing won't solve the problem then. It could be bad thermostat , water pump or head gasket. |
pinetulips:Let me guess..... Olx |
pinetulips:YES YES YES. on OLX |
Every car can be worked on. But not every car is worth the time and money invested in restoration. |
2, 1, then 3. Reason? 2 is going straight, so he should go first 1 should follow. The traffic rule says give chance to vehicles on the left (in countries driving on the right side of the road). 1 is on the left of 3, so he should give chance to 1 to go first. Followed by 3. |
jesbu:Bought for 87k 7 months ago. Unfortunately the price is now 100k plus because of rise of dollar. Don't know how much UK used costs. |
openasir:Unlock, bypass... Can u tell us the difference. U said urself that u can enter the phone and flex. So how do u flex with a locked phone? |
