there is no point to shoot yourself in the arm i.e every 3 months change of oil and here we are not talking of public transport vehicle

if its oil that you can change after 3 months then why trust oil that you change after 3 months when on average manufacturer always say 1 year to 1 and half years or average 7 -10000miles

it simply tells you that the oil is rubbish qaulity why dont you buy better one from well know quality oil suppliers


ask yourself why would by such oil ? you are just doing more harm to your car than good either go got manufacturer's oil or well known genuine brands like mobil, castrol, shell etc

Pls i browsed and saw that the recommended oil is ws toyota transmission fluid . I've checked all over my vicinity and some few pple in lagos but I still can't get it. Pls where can I get this tranny oil And in case I can't get it in nigeria, which oil can i use to substitute it. Pls urgent replies is needed before my tranny gets damaged. I highly doubt similar behavior from a non-black player would have warranted being called "a monkey". no one would have gotten the joke if a fan called a non-black player a monkey. I agree with you that people who know about the Peugeot are not so much, but I think that depends on your environment. I live in a small town and we don't have any good German mechs either, but then a lot of people use those cars here and maintain it. It all depends on how far you can go to get what you want.

My wife drives a Nissan, and three times I took that car to the 'best' mechs in town, I end up regretting it, cos they end up complicating issues. That's the so called japanese car. Now what do we do? We read up on our cars and know them well. We do preventative maintainance to ensure those cars don't break down suddenly. I have the factory service or Haynes manual of every car in the house. The auto technician we use is over 80km from where we live. More expensive than an average tree shade mech, yes, but I've come to find them cheaper in the long run. And yes, he knows about Peugeots and the mercs. Will we now say because we don't have good mechs in my town, we'll be riding bicycles?

About engine and timing belt issues, the question still is, how well are you maintaining it? Why on earth should your timing belt cut if you change it as at when due, with quality parts and right technicians. In the over 15 years I've been driving in this country, I've never lost an engine, and one of the cars is over 10 years old, and it's NOT a Toyota.

My summary is, it's not about the car, but the owner. A Toyota abused will eventually become problematic.

If you say a japanese tolerates more abuse than a Peugeot, I may agree, but saying Peugeot cars are problematic is what I'm calling you out for. Are you now telling me you've not seen one of those almost twenty years old Peugeots , still going strong?

My guy Dont buy benz c-220, I dont know about c-200. My brother bought one c-220 December last year, the electrical fault the car has can't be extinguished even tho its very comfortable. Its automatic with alloin ream,full ac, it doesn't consume fuel I mean unlike other cars, but the kick was the problem, even after changing it several times. We bought if 950k+100k for custom paper, we sold it last week for 850k even though we could have gotten more money but my bros was in a hurry.

I'm asking, cos you know for Manual cars, you have to 'clutch down' before changing gears.

So for automatic, if I'm moving at, say 120km/hr on 'D', I can just change to, say 'D2' without stepping on the brakes, and the car will slow down automatically?
