@Roland 17- Wonderfully stated! No dispute this definitely explains it all.

@Eko Ile- May your days be long. Some people actually believe that one man can do it all, the almighty Obama promised heaven and earth but upon his election he quickly learnt that things weren't that easy. Fashola record speaks for itself, he's not perfect and in no way is he the messiah but after governors upon governors with barely nothing to show in terms of infrastructural planning, this man went back to the books and started implementing the real plan for Lagos, not the Lagos of tout and hoodlums but the Lagos meant to be seen as a magacity, he's not done yet and i believe he still has a few tricks up his sleeves, Eko o ni baaje o!

@anamprince- you need a reality check also, which kind light improved, just came back 4rm vacationing in Lagos and I tell u it's just as bad as b4, if not worse. Let's not even talk about Jonathan or his goon of members. You said Lagos State makes much more than other states, they also spend much more than other states, the bills incurred by the Lagos state people is massive compared to the other states, you complain of taxes, with the current tax system in Lagos, you people should be jubilating, more taxes are needed to bring Lagos to it's destined status, sales tax on everything from Mr.biggs to the Sandals you buy at the market, that's when you'll truly know what tax is. Fashola is just a man and for the little time he had so far, I say he's a lot better than most of those idiots occupying the same position in other states. Also did I hear someone mention the Marwa or Jakande Era, how many people occupied Lagos then and how many do we have now? Come on people use your brains!
Politics › Re: What Exactly Has Fashola Done In Lagos? by abbey621(m): 12:49pm On Jul 25, 2011
I clearly believe that this posting was started by someone very ignorant and confused otherwise how can you even claim such a sentimental statement. Have you traveled outside of Lagos, go to Ogun, Oyo, Delta or Benin even Abia and tell me which of those states look better than Lagos. You've really got 2 be kidding, if you thought one man would magically fix all the problems of Lagos state, Padi stop dreaming! Fashola has done his best and hopefully he'll be able to complete more projects, Fashola's record speaks for itself and needs no support, so goofballs get a life!

@Buzugee- I know your type, you are fueled by people's opinion and you derive pleasure in the attention you're getting, there's no use arguing with you, those of us that are smart will continue making money here in the United States or Nigeria and enjoying all it has to give, as for the anti-american /Boko Haramist grin See you @ d finish line, sucker!!
Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Why America Is Worse Than Nigeria by abbey621(m): 8:58pm On Jul 23, 2011
stop cherry picking faults. you try entering an american hospital without adequate insurance cover. dem go throw you outside the hospital come close door. secondly nigerians dont get lost in forests. we aint into all dat mountain hiking and whatnot that white folks do the black man, the nubian man, the asiatic blackman is not adventurous by nature and as such will never get lost in no dayum mountains
@Buzugee- You've finally crossed the line! Guy stop proving to everyone that you are psycho. You need to read the bill of rights and the amendments of the constitution of the United States. All American residents with proper documentation will be treated regardless of insurance or not, they might end up paying a whole lot more for the treatment but they can never be denied service. If you think you're talking to dummies, I assure you I'm not one of them, Grew up in the streets of mushin, graduated from one of the worst universities in Nigeria, and with just one luck of being able to travel, I make about 5,000 dollars every month, that's about 750k or more every month in Naira, and you sit here and argue that Nigeria is better than the United States, Guy u need a reality check!
Politics › Re: 5 Reasons Why America Is Worse Than Nigeria by abbey621(m): 1:44pm On Jul 23, 2011
I don't know why some of you people that claim to live in the United States can even talk about suffering or slavery, 4 goodness sake the biggest injustice is living in your own country 9ja and watching the government hold the people ransom over and over again. As for me, I went through the loan system and I never went over, borrowing just 50k, for goodness sake why would you borrow 150k for loan, u be thief! Average tuition should be about 14k to 22k a year with the government providing free grants and other resources you should be able to cut it down to 7k to 14k a year, also get a part time job to cover other expenses, you have to live smart in America but unfortunately most Nigerians here love to live large, doing and buying things dem papa never buy b4, imagine someone also saying that you can't get rich in America, that's absolute nonsense, this country is filled with unlimited opportunities just because you are not smart enough to see them doesn't mean they don't exist, I'm a living witness to this.  Someone had the audacity to talk about American transportation,  he talks about taking the train and the bus system, my guy buy yourself a car and learn to drive. To my final amazement, a country that provides constant electricity, excellent security, tax returns, job assistance, tuition grants, health care benefits and so much more can never be worse than a country with no healthcare benefits, constant violation of human rights, poor living conditions, no disaster response and complete devaluation of human life. I remain confident that in America as long as you are hard working and cut your coats according to your size then you will definitely make it,

@Poster- Even though you seem intelligent, u failed to completely ground yourself in proper research of America. Firstly I currently stay in a four bedroom house just outside of Atlanta, it's nice and in a quiet area and the value right now is less than 170k. The recession has made houses so cheap that you can get a decent house for even 40k. Dude! Nigeria no get food o, na rubbish we dey chop, if you reach here, u go salute food! Of course it's going to be worth more, good food demands good money. Finally who told you that you can't pay off student loans within the stipulated time, the major reason most Americans spread out repayment on their student loans is because the system allows them, imagine borrowing money from a bank in 9ja and the bank giving you 4 years and 6 month before you can start repaying and even after, you are given 15 years to complete the payment, that is what I called heaven on earth. So Mr.Man get your facts straight b4 posting rubbish next time.
Romance › Re: Will She Kill Me If I Dont Marry Her? 9yrs No Be Beans O! by abbey621(m): 12:42am On Jul 19, 2011
Basically the girl is definitely a typical 9ja girl, blind, confused and materialistic. How can you date for 9 yrs without a concrete commitment, it's unheard of! As for the poster, he's incapable of loving anyone but himself, that's why he goes after the flesh, the girl could be skinny and beautiful but eventually he would get tired of her, cos that's how he rolls. Based on his statements, it's obvious he came from an abused home or even polygamous, I suggest he gets some counselling b4 it's too late.

@purestboy- Stop being an idiot! Islam is a religion of peace just like Christianity but in every religion there are extremist. The problems of northern youths is lack of proper education and poverty. Their leaders prey on this poverty which makes the youth do almost anything for food, and shelter. Our biggest problem in Nigeria is the federal government, a government that can't guaranty safety of its citizens is more or less not worthy to rule. I suggest the whole Nigerian constitution be scraped and we all go our separate ways!!!

Majority of the people rooting for GEJ are mostly idiots or they have relatives in PDP. How can a party rule for 12 years without nothing 2 show. Do you people honestly believe GEJ can bring positive change to Nigeria while still part of the most corrupted party in Nigerian history. Let's face it, PDP is the worst problem facing Nigeria and unless they face stiff opposition then I'll be here to remind you ignorant supporters of PDP in 4 years time why u are still wallowing in poverty stricken lives!!!!

The only thing messed up is your head. "Haven't" equals present tense while "Hadn't" equals past tense and since we are qualifying the verb observed which is past tense also then "Hadn't" is the correct option. Don't blame the Nigerian school system for your shortcomings. Anyways back to the topic, I'm a black man living in the western world and I am absolutely thrilled with my life, so Mr. Buzugee speak only for yourself!

@buskugee- Trying to corrupt me with your epileptic grammar isn't working so well. The correct statement above should be,"and you obviously hadn't observed your English teacher in high school". Just to show you no one is above a grammatical blunder, not even you sir, grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

I really don't know where you got your fact 4rm but let me make it more simple 4 u. The gateway to the soul is the body. If your body is suffering, it also affectsyour soul. If you can direct your facts and research to the millions dying to get out of 9ja everyday or the millions suffering from epileptic power supply, unemployment, bad roads and much more, and see what comes out of that. The truth is every one knows for the short term there's nothing like the benefits of living in the united states or europe, even though the long term result is to come back home having achieve beyond your wildest dreams, we must not fail to realize that one cannot operate without the other without feeling unsatisfied. you talk abt soul and spiritual connection, do you think africa is the holiest of all nation?? In fact it's the darkness in the people in africa that still enslaves them till today. Witchcrafts and jealousy, armed robbery and political killings, need I  say more??
so there you have it. the body exists but the soul lives.
ever notice how the happiest nigerians live in nigeria while the saddest nigerians live abroad ? you would think with all the creature comfort they have abroad they will be happier right ? well their soul has been crushed. it has stopped living.
The above statement is complete FALLACY and does not make any sense! What did you base this statement upon? You obviously haven't observe beyond your immediate surroundings!

@buzugee- One man's food is another man's poison, the united states has been a great place to live in for me and my family and every one of my friends here would always appreciate the opportunity that another country gave us, the opportunity that our own motherland couldn't establish. I believe it's tougher to live in england than the U.S, because of the tax and strict laws, united states allows you to be free to an extent and they just love hard working people who contribute positively to the economy. Most people that complain are those who are lazy or scammers, no matter where you live, if u can't work hard then you can't survive!
Travel › Re: African Migrants Abandon The American Dream by abbey621(m): 3:12pm On Apr 10, 2011
I don't know if the poster was joking when reporting but i can guaranty u, the united states is still by far the best place to make money or better your future. Due to recession, lazy and 419 nigerians can't get a job or make a living but those that are hard workers and have their papers, will find a job and unlimited opportunity to increase their knowlege. Example 1: The government basically pays for education, if you can get a degree here and a little work experience, you will become highly valued if u decide to return to nigeria. Example 2: Even if you work for the minimum wage and you don't go around driving fancy cars or buying american houses leaving u with mortgages then you are still better off than the average banker in nigeria.  Example 3: Would u ever trade the constant power supply, clean natural water and the ease of transportation.  Even though we like to dream of a better nigeria, the truth is we are not there yet and contrary to reports, africans are abandoning the american dream, meaning they are not buying huge houses and are now investing more at home but they are not leaving the comfort of the united states just yet!  As a graduate of one of the worst university in nigeria, i found it difficult to use my degree to work in the U.S. but when i saw the unlimited number of opportunities to better myself through education, i immediately jumped on it and now i have an american degree, instead of making the minimum wage, i now make 3 times the amount and life has never been better.

@naijaking1- If you don't know what 2 say i suggest you shut your mouth! Even jesus was prosecuted and faced many opposition but did he go around crying an eye for an eye. You really make me sick, and i know behind this your callous attitude lies a child that must have lacked serious attention while growing up, that's why you feel the need 2 seek attention every where u go. today is muslim vs christians, yesterday yoruba vs hausa, who knows tomorrow it might be male vs female, when the white men took us as slaves we shouted injustice, that all men are created equal but now a confused pastor is trying to say no all men are not equal, christians are more capable than muslims, outright nonsense!
Politics › Re: "Do Not Vote For A Muslim President" - Pastor Paul Adefarasin by abbey621(m): 4:13pm On Nov 19, 2010
Obviously we have morons and log- heads commenting on this topic so far. Nigeria is the only country in which religion or tribalism is put ahead of unity or patrotism. Nigeria was not made for one religion, we have muslims, christians and atheist living as one. The pastor is obviously mental. For the bible does not command us to judge others rather pacify them and make them see reasons through our lifestyle and leadership. If our leaders also followed the quran they would know that cheating, looting and all other vices are an abomination. The saddest part in all of these is that the main people affected by all the injustice and political sham in this country are the ones quick to follow a man whose comment to me is anti-nigeria. Our major problem has always been sentiments around religion, tribes and locality, this time they have decided to use pastor adefarasin and i can see it's working! Shame on us all,
