Pride: The single most killer of success. Most of you say you would rather sit at home and remain jobless than to become a truck driver, I think laziness and ignorance are disturbing most of you. If the job pays well and you have the necessary driving skills then why not? In case most of you haven't noticed, Nigerian Bachelors degrees are mostly useless without some experience or other relevant certifications, working for a company like Dangote is a good way to get your foot in the door, it might actually lead to advancement and a much more gratifying position. Good things come to those who are humble, you'll see graduates and even master degree holders working menial jobs here in yankee because things are rough everywhere and without some working experience, you are likely to be looked upon as a rookie. Thumbs up to Dangote, at least he is creating jobs.

Whenever I see one of these ridiculous threads, I can't help but to be amazed at the level of ignorance of some Nigerians. In a world where even the super giants are trying to expand their economies beyond their physical location because of the economic meltdown, we have someone in a third world country advocating isolationism. I even heard someone said that Nigerians have never profited from having a global economy, hello? Blackberry, Nokia, Coca-Cola, and so much more. Thousands of Nigerians are being granted visas every year because their country cannot provide them the necessary tools to succeed, many Nigerian companies have investments in foreign countries, in order to maximize their influences and yet you said Nigerians have never profited from having a global economy, I laugh in Swahili! What you don't understand is that, the problem with Nigeria and many African countries is corruption, leaders and trusted individuals responsible for the welfare of the citizens are screwed up from the start and are only after what they can gain, isolationism isn't going to fix corruption in Africa, in fact it is going to encourage it, because if the rest of the world is no longer involved with Africa, then the web of darkness continues to grow stronger.

My friend, calm down, when you don't know something, try and ask for enlightenment. First of all, when you remove the battery of a blackberry phone and wait 2 to 3 minute, you are performing what is called a hard reset. The OS automatically feels that there's something wrong and must reload in order to fix the problem. If there's no problem with your phone, I don't see why you would want to remove the battery. Furthermore, don't ever compare a machine like Blackberry to an outdated piece of garbage like Nokia phones, a Blackberry is a computer, printer, virtual machine, GPS navigator, and so much more. In fact on my 9810 with the 7.1 O.S update, I'm able to use my blackberry phone with the playbook through Blackberry bridge, I'm able to respond to BBM messages through the playbook and do so much more. The reason Blackberry might seem like a normal phone to Nigerians is simple, the network and the literacy level of the populace is not where it ought to be. Networks like MTN, Airtel and Glo are ripping you guys off, when you experience the Blackberry on a blazing 4G speed, you'll never use another device!
