See opening ceremony! |
Joskin you are really astounding! You are not exactly helping yourself. Yes to a statement with two different questions. Yet you still do not see your error. |
You guys should know that, private persons like you can arrest an offender, any offender as long as you wont put yourself in danger by attempting to arrest such offender who may react in violence. Criminal justice administration and enforcement is also not always about making arrests, charging and arraigning before a court, reprimand, public or private; like our governor gave yesterday is also what criminal justice administration and enforcement is about. Others include fine, community service and so on. Given the human rights deprecative outlook of the NA and the timidity of the Nigeria Police, the governor set a fine example. A honourable man/institution will take a cue and act honourably next time to avoid such public reprimands. It is not always about handcuffs, holding cells, courts and imprisonment. Enjoy! |
Common Kick it.... I say kick it....***kick anything in site(not person sha o)*** A "Gold" Friend |
I know the OP did not write this. But to the original author of this article, i want you to know that it is ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT! |
I no fit read a chapter of d bible but I read every page of this thread to d lastpage!....SMH@U/me |
I ilaugh out loud. It is very iNice. |
It is true o! Let peeps know so that they do not die needlessly. |
Must you all derail the thread? |
Beer bar ko, bia bia ni. |
The closer you are to the oil, the lazier you are. LMAO. Very funny but very true. |
@OP like someone posted earlier, keep warning him, over and over again, especially for those plain rebellious and disobedient moments. Just keep warning him, then on the D-day, calmly, get a good cane or bet, straddle him on ur laps and give him some good ol' spankin. You dont even have to say anything. 7 hours latet, give him his favourite ice-cream. A boy is a boy. Once in a blue moon caning cant kill him. All d best. |
They obviously did not manage this transition well @ all. I'm also having issues with them and i've made it known to them, i wont love to come down to their office, they wont love it either. |
@seun osewa Like i mentioned in another thread, let users be able to tag favourite nairalanders and read their comments instead of reading whole pages filled with crap and tribalistic/hateful comments. The tagging can filter by sorting Nairalander by number of posts or by names, cos seems the older nairalanders are more sensible. Also include all d signatures and number of posts in NL 2. Finally, use the colour green in the new NL look. I still love the old nairaland. All the best. |
@lepasharon The constitution of Nigeria enshrines and protect the fundamental human rights of Nigerians. So, there is a Human right law as enshrined in the Constitution and the African Charter on Human & peoples Rights, which is also enforceable here in Nigeria. |
^^^^ That was a bad error above there. I meant to write right to privacy and not dignity of human persons. Section 37, 2010 constitutn. |
What we have in Nigeria is a right to dignity of Human person provided for in the Nigerian constitution 2010 as amended. However, Nigeria doesnt have privacy law. What is the business all about in the first place? Trust it is not voyeurism?. |
@OP what me i will tell you is that, drive to abuja yourself, let ur gf stay in lag. Fly back to lag, then drive back to abuja with her. You woulda known all the routes, turns and all and prepped for the real deal. Safe trip and let us know abt ur xperience. |
@Gbawe i will def keep that in mind. |
@seun if you must bring in any new feature to Nairaland, let it be that users can sort post/replies by the user with the number of largest post, in a descending order. Also, include a feature whereby i can tag a particular user/Nairalander that i like and read his comment in a particular thread, instead of scrolling thru crap. The tagged Nlander doesnt have to know he is tagged. The benefit is for the Nlander that tags. Guest may be able to tag and read but not post. All da best. |
I admit reading thread such as this is sometimes funny but most times it is not but the idea is that subliminal messages of distrust, suspicion, betrayal, cowardice and what not is being passed to people who do not have negative perception or outlook of the SW/SE. I dont read thread that i know will be tribalistic or hateful, the first hateful sees me closing that thread. So help me God, this will be the last tribalistic/ethnocentric/hateful thread i will read on nairaland. Thoroughly enjoyed reading gbawe & okija-juju and the few good and sensible ones Seems the old NLanders are saner. |
Seriously all these tribalism on NL should stop, when i see an igbo man i remember all the hateful comments i read on nairaland, when i see all these hausa people along ojodu berger road, i think of boko haram, infact i'm thinking of telling residents of river valley estate @ berger that they should use style send away all these hausa people around there, who knows what they might be planning. The tribalism is really affecting my perspective. I would love to go back to my life without nairaland.com |
Oh! If i had just one oil well with a capacity of 100,000bpd only and nothing more! 50,000bpd is ok too. If only! |
Too much mad money in this nation. Individual owning oil wells, sharing profit of oil money running into billions of naira monthly for nothing and with nothing to show. This is the new definition of madness. This whole just dey read like a dream. It must not be true o. Person even fii run mad sef, Mad men! |
I have been feeling bad recently and at the core of my unhappiness is the fact that God made me to be a Nigerian. God in His infinte love and wisdom blessed me and i came across this poem and it has filled me up so much, it made tears fall out of my face. So i want to share these beautiful lines with nairaland. It is written by Lloyd Stone & George Harkness. Enjoy! This is my song, oh God of all the nations, a song of peace for lands afar and mine. This is my home, the country where my heart is; here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine; but other hearts in other lands are beating with hopes and dreams as true and high as mine My country's skies are bluer than the ocean, and sunlight beams on clover leaf and pine. But other lands have sunlight too and clover, and skies are everywhere as blue as mine. This is my song, thou God of all the nations; a song of peace for their land and for mine. This is my prayer, O Lord of all earth's kingdoms: Thy kingdom come on earth thy will be done. Let Christ be lifted up till all shall serve him, And hearts united learn to live as one. Oh hear my prayer, thou God of all the nations; Myself I give thee; let thy will be done. God bless Nigeria. Amen Let us not give up on this nation. |
The things we have (wealth, talents, knowledge, etc) are God's gift to us, the way we live our lives is our gift to Him and Nigeria will determine what we make of those blessings/gifts God has invested us with. God bless Nigeria. All the best to ghana. |
100 million living in poverty(below or at pverty level) should be a shame to our leaders past and present and all government officials. It is terrible. Too terrible. |
The topic is mischievous. Simply mischievous. That's all. |
Now, this really takes the cake. I'll be ![]() |
