Everyone trying to know the future they can never know. |
Seriously, we can do better as a nation not just towards doctors but everyone. I am very certain and confident that we can easily implement a 50,000 minimum wage in Nigeria. It is not exceptional or impossible. I guess that is why most of these doctors are travelling to the US and UK where they know the value of their profession. I am not a doctor. |

Abbott: Make me sef talk my own.Remembered! I bought a bucket before the german came in, I thought I would use the kettle to boil water, pour it in and mix with cold water too....i did that once, the day he arrived I think. |
Make me sef talk my own. First time in the UK for masters, i was the first of four flatmates to get to our apartment. When I ran the tap in the kitchen and my room, the water was very cold. I slept that day without having my bath. Next day, I ran the tap, same cold water. Short story sha...didnt have my bath for four days because I didnt know I have to turn on the water heater(it was in the kitchen) for all the taps in the flat...when a German flatmate arrived and did it...i was so happy...i spent almost an hour in the bathroom. |

Daresh: Last weekend, we all went to Amuwo Odofin. On our way home at that turn at Mile 2 we were all laughing and talking in the car when suddenly, the windows of the car where shattered simultaneously. Thre guys started grabbing stuff. The kids were screaming the guy was trying to grab my bag shouting " Where's the money"?. They took my husbands new Note. I held onto my bag tight, I no gree. MY children were shell shocked. We had to climb the divider and speed off, the guy was still trying to take my bag.Are you really serious Daresh?! |
Well, sadly its normal. Many teenage boys in the early stages of puberty, do very weird things in a bid to exploring their sexuality. Sniffing panties and bras, massturbatiing, stealing panties and bras, peeping toms, watching por'n, etc are all a part of exploring themselves. Notice how most guys here are saying its normal, that's cos they either passed through this stages at some point or knew people who did. What the op needs to do is very critical. Reporting him to his folks will be very counter productive. She has a rare chance here to mentor a young man. She can either become a big friend or an enemy. She should call him and speak with him in private and counsel him wisely on his feelings and how to control em. This young man is prolly shy, a virgin, an introvert and very emotional. The kid needs a big brother that can mentor him and not someone that will put him on blast. OP... Get close to this boy and you might even be surprised at what your own brother has been up to.
Common not normal. |
fellis: What am I seeing? He's is known to mean either He is or He has but not He was though it seems appropriate. It should not be used in written communication however. |
But really guys, I would think as I am sure most other non IT people here will think that stuff like this should have been started by Nigerian developers...Must Google do everything for us? If Google had not done this, all the Nigerian languages would have been left behind by technology? Siri does not understand yoruba/igbo/hausa yet lots of people are using it. Technology is not just meant for the privileged, it is meant for everybody, illiterates, market women, old, young, etc It behoves on us that are literate, ICT-wise to make technology available for all as easy as it can be. Google must not do everything for us. Though the translate is not all that yet, but it will get better, but it will be owned by Google. We should live our lives to the full and also help others to live their life to the fullest. A consortuim of Nigerian programmers could have done this, make it open source, license the source code to ICT companies to integrate into their products. Microsoft, Apple, Andriod, Blackberry, Sony, Samsung, etc :| |
