A governor flogging a grown man with Bulala because his community did not have light? In Nigeria, in Two thousand and twelve 2012 AD? A state governor? Flogging a MAN, not his child, not his gateman, not his nephews, not his son, a manager! Kai! |
Peeps, is Nigeria an emerging market? |
My problem with Nokia is that instead of releasing their products in all their major markets @ once, they will release in UK/USA and other countries in January and release in Nigeria and co in December. If I was given Nokia Lumia 900 free of charge I wont collect it @ all. If they like when Lumia 920/820 is released, they should not bring it to Nigeria. Will just abandon them and chill for BB Aristo. ![]() |
@ all, it is amusing reading back and forth the perspectives and angles of human beings. I very much doubt that we can all reach an agreed conclusion, however, very soon, we will all get to know what is the truth. One thing is however true, perfectly true, God's judgment is JUST. Nobody else can experience the pains of miscarraiged justice over God. Our knowledge is also severely limited, lets keep that in mind and our minds struggle to comprehend an incomprehensible God which makes the purpose of this thread though educating but also liable to futility. You could keep going back and forth and neither sides shifting ground on the nature of the second death. Non-existence versus eternal dying if I get both sides right. May God grant us understanding in this matter. |
truthislight: hell is grave and Jesus went to hell.If hell is grave then somethings must be going on even in that place "hell" to the "things" there that is not good. |
frosbel: My position is :We serve a true God whose judgment is not only just but also unquestionable, unassailable, unimpeachable and unappealable. Speaking of hell and second death and judgment, I want to quickly contribute the following. Death means the act of dying. Dead means lifeless, without life. Then will I not be correct to say that a person that is dead as the Bible puts it, the second death is actually a spirit/soul that is killed by God and consequently, unexistent? If this line of thinking is valid, then such a soul/spirit cannot feel any punishment or any pain or any agony or misery because that soul is dead and is no more, even the soul/spirit! But then, following a more imaginable scenario, such a soul that has been opposed to God while on earth is punished by eternal death which means eternal dying and ironically, such a soul can never get to a point that it will become dead. The punishment I think is in the eternal dying coupled with the pain and agony and misery but above all, the abject absence of the presence of God. It is then peple will know that God is actually omnipresent, cos His omnipresence will never get to such place as hell after the second death. However, a third thoughtheory is that there is actually a place for the dead, where God abhors with immutable hatred and it is not the place one will desire to be. My thoughts though. Still reading. Hmmm! The position of the law is that self defence that leads to death is excusable and defensible as long as the force of self defence is proportional and the action of self-defence is not premeditated. Every matter is decided on the circumstances of the case. An armed robber armed with guns or any projectile can be resisted using proportionate weapon/projectile. That means: pistol for pistol/shotgun rifle for pistol/shotgun machine guns/machine guns machete for machete/dagger/axe knifes for F cut knifes/"lebe" butchers knife etc Anything that reveals premeditation like a planned assault long after the crime has been committed or gory, savage killings like the one in Apocalypto:when those guys were speared why trying to run into safe territory. If you have to defend, make it deadly, precise, immediate and swift. |
Babatunde Raji Fashola is very much on point. What we need is a re-awakening of our value system. Imagine a Nigeria where hard work, honesty, dilligence, intelligence, friendliness, tolerance and creativity is the norm. Just imagine! |

The poster you replied to is right. You're the one writing poo.Else, we all form our militant groups, cause constant mayhem for a year and get government attention and amnesty. What sort of life is that? |

idupaul: And here I was thinking this Kidnap must have been organised by disgruntled SW boys .. People of Igbo extraction need to get their act together you guys are definitely a thorn in the worlds flesh as it stands now .. And pls I am not a tribalistClown! So, what are you if not a tribalist? An ethnicist? ![]() |
Why do people write such hurtful stuffs? I'm a staunch Nokia homeboy but I feel it hurts the people that own this company when you write articles that is intentional cutting and acerbic. Universal cringes? Imagine stuffs like this written against Ruff n Tumble or Dangote etc Aint fair @ all. |
real2fix: so far u can understand d message they are tryin to pass den no need to bother urself.....mind u dis ar part of human error in film production...u cant expect 100% perfection..all dis type of error at times make the movie intresting...hav never see dat movie i watch dat ther wont be error either d subtitle custome video quality and so on....is left for you to dectect d error or blonder...so if u can determin dis error dis shows how intelligent u are in watchin film or program or readin or listenin...It cannot be excused. That type of transcription cannot get Grammies/Oscars. Whatever you do, put in more than your best, make it perfect. A fine example of Nollywood is Amazing Grace. |
engineerd: THE PERSON YOU KILLED IS DEADI think it is "The person you killed have dead". Sniggering since the 80s ![]() |
The person you have killed is dead. |
Funny! I will catch the grenade and throw it back! QED! I only hope I wont get to read that someone actually jumped in front of a moving train or caught a grenade for love. |
Gracious10: Preaching should be done anytime any day. Biblical references should be applied in ALL you do. Christianity isn't when its convenient or................... That's what I call interesting not just making everything look like funeral procession.the last phrase made me smile when I remember those guys in Malachi grumbling to God that what good had it brought them when they served God, going about as if someone had died...not sure of the translation that put it that way. Very funny. ![]() |
I predict 100 pages for this thread. Will check back in a day to see how good I am.
Very good indeed. ![]() |
Michky: Dude, nobody is arguing that with you. A lot of conspiracy theorists today even believe that things like teleportation, time travel, human cloning etc are already in existence as we speak but are still governments' well guarded secrets. Unfortunately for the OP, those phone models might not be usable in those years stated due to reasons beyond mere demand and supply. FYI, pushing an innovative product into the mainstream market place involves more than just the product. Other things like acceptance, government policies, etc also come into play here. Let me give you an example. I believe the first flying car must have been manufactured 12 years ago but why didn't it become popular till now? Simple. The world was not ready at that time to handle the fall-outs of such innovation. Just imagine an armed robber having access to such item. How easily would our today's security system deal with such considering the fact that all we have are fences and barb wires. They'd just fly in, steal, and fly out. Get my drift?Yeah! My emphasis is that anything imagined can be created. |
