You got it wrong with Alpha. The very first thing they said was that it was 20,000 years ago in Europe. You really expected people to have developed a language by that time? You are the one who is not realistic. I usually respect people's option but u got this one upside down. A language had to be developed for the movie just like they developed a 3k word language for the Dutraki in GOT.
Thanks for the clarification

NO I am not, I vividly remember that, my point is that he never lost sight of his goals always snaking and meandering his way to get what he wants for his people.

Black panther(was overrated and turned into a political crusade on Social media )

Oceans Eight ( so freaking cliche and predictable )

Venom ( unnecessary and not needed, besides couldn't see anything during the riot fight. ..was to dark....lol pun intended )

Antman and the wasp (an explainer movie for ant man's appearance in end game)

Alpha ( did well to tell a fantastic story but let us down with the language )

Here is a president going to war to fulfill promises he made to the electorate and here in my country a president who is lifeless, blames others for failures instead of doing the right thing. In saner climes he'd have to step down but our division in this country won't let that happen. Heck...no revolution would happen.

Ttrrffyyghuuh:
Mobile Application Development
Software Development
Graphics Design
Web Design/Web Development

i don't know about graphics design oo but software development no be side hustle at all, na full time job..
unless you're a wordpress developer
before i got into web development, i be think say na beans because i thought wordpress solves it all and i looked down on the craft..
if you're going to be a fullstack freelance developer, you'll need knowledge of frontend tools,
html, css, bootstrap, javascript, angular or react
knowledge of one or two backend frameworks, django or flask, express and node, .net, spring, ruby on rails, (i think laravel for php, don't know much about php)
you'll need knowledge of databases, sql(postgres, mysql) and nosql(mongodb)
you'll need to know about deployment, setting up your vps on cloud, (digital ocean, aws, azure)(this is a field on its own, it companies usually employ devops to handle deployment(they have certifications for this) but as a freelancer, you need to know about deployment)
no be beans
it may take you at least a year or two to be comfortable as a full stack web developer(comfortable, not a professional!!)
con add general applications development, systems programming and desktop applications, game programming, mobile app development..

unless all you do is build blogs, if you take on an e-commerce project for example (fairly complex), i don't see you being able to combine software dev with any other job thats doesn't count as a "passive income stream"
and when you don't have any jobs on ground, you'll probably be updating yourself with the new technologies that pop up every now and then
(for example few years back there nothing like react, today you can comfortably build a native android or ios app with react native(so why struggle with android, even android devs are moving to kotlin)

all this grammar wey i type depends on if you're using wordpress or not, you don't have to know all these if you use wordpress,(i've never used it before)

software dev is a convoluted field, walai, no be side hustle but its fun and very rewarding especially when your code works after hours of staring at your screen looking for bugs grin grin
baba na full time job abeg
Haha...na true you talk bro....especially about the bug part. ..currently staring at my code for the past 4 days....though the feeling you get once it works is indescribable walai

As hyped?

Lol...

A skill that can feed you anywhere in the world is what you call hype?

A friend travelled to Italy as an illegal immigrant. His hands-on IT skill sustained him till he was able to gain residence permit.

I wish you know how much developers make in Nigeria...

Don't ask me how they do it... Not everyone is lazy and waiting for miracle to happen.

Some of us force the miracle to happen.
I just want to know from those who made it and get some tips from them, like i said i am a youngling in need of guidance.

The system is really messed up, i assume you are currently in a field working which is totally different from what you studied. Sometimes it is luck sometimes it takes guts and hard-boiled will.

But you cannot do it all alone, one way or the other you would eventually need help but incase one doesnt see, he has to make do by himself. What a country we live in.

@chrisbaxtian are you into ICT?
Jobs/Vacancies › Are Internships Disguised Slavery In Nigeria? Share Your Experience. by abdeiz(op): 8:36am On Dec 25, 2018
After graduation and service, you then realise albeit too late how ill equipped you are for the rigors of the current job market. Your certificate isnt going to get you something good unless you had a "strong" connection. You need to acquire a skill, you know what your passion is but dont know how to go about learning what you need to know to make a living from it.

Come in internships, you are excited, the low barriers to entry was a blessing, you apply for numerous positions advertised and relating to your field/passion. You finally get an invite and get the job.

The pay and terms were nothing to write home about, afterall you are just an intern. There was promise of retaining you if you did well after the stated period and a little stipend.

First month everything goes well but quickly spiralled out of control, the mentorship wasnt available, you were assigned frivolous tasks that had nothing to do with your job description pay was virtually non existent reason being "we are in a recession". You suck up and start learning on your own, making untold sacrifices, being loyal to the organization until the scales eventually fall off your eyes. You hadnt achieved your goals there, be it in financially, skill-wise or in any other way. You had only wasted valuable time and resources thinking you would be appreciated.

You leave with many regrets and lessons to learn from. This is my experience. What's Yours?
Science/Technology › Does ICT Skills Really Pay As Hyped? by abdeiz(op): 8:15am On Dec 25, 2018
I mean after you have gotten the said skill for example Web development how do you make money from it, it isnt just about getting the skill?

You apply for jobs online but none yield results, the few interviews you attend follow the same pattern; interviewer looks at your CV and mentions the hardest skill you dont have to see if you know it, i mean what is the point?

What is the other way? Freelance? Experienced hands should please show us the younglings the way abeg.

Imagine a friend or relative unprivy to such news logs in here to see such news of their beloved and trolls having a field day talking rubbish. No Cause of Death, just a catchy headline.

I say this because i thought it was someone close to me and had to verify. Imagine the shock. May God protect us all

Its all about perspective.

For some it is a weakness because they feel they have surrended their liberty to the other party

For others it is a sign of strenght to let yourself go free because of the other.

Its your choice, be liberated or imprisoned.

A little advice here and there, not to spoon feed you all the way. The bulk of your learning obviously have to be on you. Two heads are better than one, just saying
