Northern Muslims will never vote obi for president, that's a fact. I work in kebbi & live in sokoto. They hate obi like mad. They believe he deported hausas & started IPOB nonsense.
Great to have this from you bro. I was humiliated by my fellow Muslims in the North just because I was joking I would vote for PO.
Nigeria is wider and bigger than Nairaland but many people do not know.
Romance / Re: I Am Confused In Choosing A Wife Partner by Abdulhakeem78(m): 9:54pm On Feb 20, 2023
Britishcoins:
Pls my fellow Nairalanders, I am in confused state of mind right now... I am in my early 30. I am not super rich but I am financially comfortable, at least living in my own apartment and having a business that give me atleast 600k monthly.
I am equally the first son and my parents are late, so I am like the head of the family to my younger ones...
Age is no longer at my side and I have no reason why I am still single.. But there is a problem.
I have plenty female admires.. Even some which was suggested for me through families and friends.. But only 2 of them I will talk abt now

Let me call one of them Judith and the other one IFEOMA.
Judith is from from the same local government with me.. I knew her when she was still in secondary school and I was apprentice then... I don't even know what was called love then.. We only greet like brother and sisters because we are in far away north then.
I have relocated to another state and she too is now undergraduate, studying nursing at uni zik Awka. I normally call her because I was in good term with her mother.. She feel in love with me. But my own fear is that I am not sure if she will understand the language of hardship. She was only Dauther and last born, the family is average comfortable.
The only thing she always rely most is her beauty... She is so beautiful no wonder she just won a beauty queen competition, the sun newspaper even carry the news.. But her beauty is not what attracted me..
Last December I visited her parent with just one of my uncle and they welcomed us very well..
Another issue is that she still have abt 4 years to finish her education.. And I don't want to waste more than 2 years ahead.

Now let me talk abt IFEOMA. She is from Nsukka, very far from my local government.
She is living with her sister here in the same state I am staying...
She is 25 and years and Judith is 22 years.
She is NCE holder.. Based on my findings so far she is good in business and came from a poor family too.. She is equally a virgin, I am very sure of it..
She not too beautiful but have showed her love to me... The problem is that I have no feelings for her.. But I love her hard working..
I am planning to invite Judith to spend some weeks with me to understand her characters.

Pls I don't know how to write more..
Which one should I marry?
Sarah Chukwu is her real name.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Does It Mean To Be A Teacher In The Uk? by Abdulhakeem78(m): 8:52pm On Dec 27, 2022
Emilo:
The kids will always test your confidence and temperament. It is left for you to show them you cannot be intimidated. Once they know this, you will see that you become their best friend. But you must be tested and certified street wise with good English.

You cannot be timid on your first day, first day, first impression matters the most.

I remember when i went to teach in a private expensive school in Okota back in 2005. On my first day, the kids wanted to test me, na me end up shaking them, my sound knowledge of Biology and social knowledge free style intimidate them. The next day they all wanted to be my friend. The principal called me into his office and said what did i do or tell the kids. That they are all spoilt kids who always intimated their teachers. Till i left the school and to date some of the kids are still my friend.

Once you know what the kids like and speak in their language, it becomes easy. How can you go and teach kids when you don't even know about Disney Snow white or Cinderella or a bit of popular movies, actors, musicians etc., It just wont work.

You have said it all. Teachers with this level of knowledge are quite limited. Hence, the learners measure their knowledge with what you mentioned above and gauge the teachers based on this.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Check the boy's background and see the true definition of morally absurd behavioural conducts. He would have been beating hell out of his teachers before he graduated to this level. Such an ugly action didn't just start today, it has been seen as a normal thing.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Accepting A Gift From A Non-muslim On His Day Of Festival by Abdulhakeem78(m): 11:28am On Dec 25, 2020
ChimuchiYola:
I totally disagree with this post.... I am a Muslim and I can eat and celebrate Christmas with my christian sisters and christian boyfriend...

If care is not taken he will still fvck my puna today sef

It is not a sin
May the peace of Allah be with you. If truly you are a Muslim, the situations of every matter begin and end with Allah and His noble Prophet ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The festival is heavily based on the celebrations of the birth of God's son or Lord. These two things, as far as Islam is concerned, are very much serious. Based on the my above statement, I would mention few of the reasons why you cannot eat nor celebrate Christian festivals. They include the following:
1. That Allah has begotten son. Which contradicts what Allah says in Qur'an that: He begets not, nor was He begotten. (Surat Al-Ikhlas)
2. If it were to be that of the term of Lord, it means the celebration of the birth of the owner of the worlds. This is totally out of the ways of Islam because the ownership of the Worlds is with Almighty Allah alone. This claim can take someone out of the fold of Islam.
3. The festivals in Islam have been stipulated, so no Muslims should celebrate any other festivals other than the ones recognized by Islam. Celebration is part of what a Muslim should learn like Solat.
4. Celebrating with them in this period of the year has negated one's belief in the shahadah which says "there is no deity worthy of being worshipped other than Allah. If you will be sincere with yourself, judge the statement in regard to Christianity and Christians.
5. The origin of the festival is palpably unclean, even among the Christians many of them didn't recognise it nor celebrate it. You can read further on this.
Just to mention but a few, Christmas, New year and other festivals of the people of the books are unislamic that a responsible, responsive and reasonable Muslim should distant his /her from.
Note: other than their festivals of any kind, Islam makes their food permissible such as it has been mentioned in Suratul Al-Maidah. You can celebrate with them also in things that are permissible within Islamic injunctions such as naming ceremony, wedding, house warming, convocation etc. The issues in Islam are meant for Allah and His messenger to dictate not by your thinking or your whims and caprices. May Allah bless you Ma.

Education / Re: Share Your Experiences Being Flogged in Secondary School by Abdulhakeem78(m): 3:41pm On Nov 13, 2020
7victor:
My last caning was during NYSC when we were in the NYSC camp in karaye local government area of Kano.

That day,we refused to go for parade.

So the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) came to the hostel and flogged us. He gave us 3 strokes each.

Also in the NYSC camp, during man-o-war, one female trainer asked us to kneel down for an offence which I have forgotten. But it had to do with coming to the training with something.

In fact those that lied that they were not aware of her earlier instructions were released by her.

Something told me to lie, but I refused.

I told her that I heard her instructions but was too busy to remember and carry them out. That I just remembered the instructions when I saw her.

She left me kneeling down for a long time.

I told myself that it was better to say the truth and be punished than to lie and be safe like others.

I still believe that I will get a reward for telling her the truth.

Another punishment during my NYSC camp was rolling on the floor.

I can remember twice when all of us corpers were asked to roll on the ground.

I remember one lady. As she rolled, she was seriously crying. But I didn't cry.

In the camp, soldiers and men-o-war called us Otondo.

That was the name they called us.
Kussala dam. I actually enjoyed camping there.

There is no Difference between Politicians and Nigeria Youths, all are guided by same motive and that is the quest to amass public wealth

Check from your university days

From your Lodge president

Hostel Governor

Course Rep

Departmental President

Faculty president

SUG president

Now to

Councilors

Chairman

Representative

Senators

Governors

Name them, all are guided by same motive.

Even if you hand them over , they will loot more than the same old ones.

The problem has eaten deep in the fabrics and it is not ending soon.
Op, you have said it all. The comrades you see on internet space and in the streets attacking government on every issue and action would be the most calamitous things to happen to Nigeria if they were given high positions in government. From abuse of power, to international category of corruption, to larceny, to adultery and fornication, just to mention a few. The only solution to our problem is go back to our lost standards of values like good parenting. Each family would play a role in bringing back the orientation. Until then, we would remain on a spot of underdevelopment like stagnant water.

The centre of learning people should please beg Gov. Zulum to govern their state even if it would just be six months. Maybe our Uncle could learn one or two things from his style of good governance and exceptional attributes of leadership. Centre of learning needs someone like Gov. Zulum. If you think you can become anything politically in Nigeria without some godfathers' or godmothers' backing then you are not ready to be the councillor of your ward. All the political bigwigs are godfathers and godmothers. That is why they eat and wine together without condemning one another. If you think otherwise, check the pictures above and point out members of APC you could recognise. Infact, Kano man of dollar was also in attendance cheesy

This is fairness in relating and dealing with people. We shouldn't allow our hatreds to overcome us in doing fairness and justice to relationships. Despite in opposition, the senators played good politics which is expected of every human being. Let's commend the government anytime it has done well and criticise it constructively when it has got things wrong. This is called fairness in politics, it's really good of these senators. God bless the duo.

I wish the victims quick recovery from this ugly event. Our leaders have deeply failed this country.
