On the other hand the materialism of todays society has made it so that people feel a lot of pressure to pretend to be something they are not in order to keep up.. the "extreme make-up" is just a symptom of it

In my opinion the bride could/should at least have put on some light powder and lipgloss for the sake of her wedding occasion... not to do with make-up but to do with looking tidy and decent as a human being celebrating a special day and presenting herself as a bride to the world

In that vein you may as well say she shouldnt have bothered wearing wedding gown and should just wear her normal clothes to wed

Sir, mention a single evil I committed. Has quoting the Quran and the hadith, and explaining it to people, becomes an evil. In all my engagement on Nairaland, I have always quoted Muslim sources before making my argument on it and how does that become evil? I am student of comparative religion and so you must expect me to debate Muslims any day and anytime; it is a past time hobby to me. I have no single Muslim enemy and as a matter of fact my best friend is a Muslim (with all honesty) and I will never ask him to leave Islam. I am more comfortable debating Muslims online because the risk is very minimal and I believe some people may leave Islam after our engagements. Don't see me as an intellectual bully the same way many Muslims see me on and offline. I am a simple man by nature.

Of course she will not be admitted in the first place. Nigeria is a secular state, institutions are governed by rules, that school is not the only school in Ibadan. If they dont want to abide by the school rules then they should take her to islamic school. Moreover there is a court ruling barring the use of hijab in that school, so it is the school authority that is being treated badly by the girl's overzealous father Badiru, i guess you know the law more than the court that ruled in favour of the school.
