Good evening
Please which hotel can i stay in Abuja that is cheap and close to the embassy?

There is one hotel I know that is very close to Abuja Embassy. From the hotel gate entrance you will see the Embassy building, there is a shortcut beside that hotel that leads to the Embassy and its less than 10min if you trek. The standard room is 8.5k but it's negotiable to 6k last. The place is worth the price though. (inclusive water heater and A/C) when you alight at Area 3 cross to the other side and take Keke to Area 10 when you alight cross to the other side and ask of Optima hotel. If you need their number you can check Google...

Cheers.

If it to join them for good and migrate to UK based on a sibling citizenship .......... There is nothing like that in the UK, UK does not have "chain migration" which means citizens and ILR residents are not allowed to sponsor their extended family members such as siblings .

If it is to visit then the sibling outside uk can apply for visiting visa

Mama!

please I need to send you a PM. It's very important and confidential. I await your response. Thanks a lot

Read the transcript well, the guy was cracking jokes

Am not sure he is cracking jokes bro. I think he actually once said on the platform that he graduated from a British Uni with a first class honours in Software Engineering. He seems to be a brilliant dude but he has allowed his profile to get to his head which is why you will always see too much pride in anything he post. I remembered you and him exchanged words last week over the way he was asking questions with arrogance. How I wish he can just be humble enough so that he won't have issues with the VO during his interview. It really pays to be humble! I wish him success!

Cheers.

Me: Good morning sir (still talking)

VO: Pass me your passport
I passed my documents

VO: Why are you going to Georgia State University
Me: I am going for my Masters in Mathematics with concentration in Biostatistics

VO: That is a strange combination; Mathematics and Biostatistics
Me: The Department at Georgia State University is the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

VO: Good, that makes sense, so you're a Statistician
Me: Yes

VO: How many other schools did you apply to?
Me: I applied to 6 other schools

VO: Mention them
Me: George Washington University, American University, Villanova University, Bowling Green State University, Michigan Technological University, and University of Iowa

VO: How did you get this scholarship
Me: During my application process, I indicated that I was interested in being considered for a graduate assistantship position, I submitted my high GRE scores, my impressive transcripts, I wrote a statement of purpose, uploaded my resume, also, I submitted three letters of recommendations from my lecturers, also, the graduate director, Dr. Xx scheduled me for a Skype interview, I believe the admission committee were impressed with my overall profile and my performance during the skype interview

Me: The program at University of Iowa is Masters in Statistics not Biostatistics

VO: Three colleges offers Statistics in University of Iowa

VO: I actually graduated from Statistics but the one offered by the College of Education
Me: oooh waoh, that is really nice, (smiling)

VO: I would be approving your Visa, the program at University of Iowa is actually nice, I wish you were going there, have a nice study in GSU, he said something about the visa pick up and resuming not earlier than 30days of the program start date
Me: I smiled, thank you sir and have a wonderful day grin grin grin

Please is it possible to use the Visa payment I made for b1/b2 for f1 application? If yes, how do I go about it?

From Experience, Yes! you can use the Visa fee of B1/B2 to schedule appointment for F1 category. I remembered then when I sent them a mail in this regard I was told I could use it because is the same amount.

So when you get to the platform where you will book an appointment enter that MRV number and make sure you select F1 category not B1/B2 written on the MRV fee.

Also, make sure that the Visa fee has not exceeded one year since you bought it and you have not attended an interview with it before.

I hope am able to answer your question.

let me know if you need further information.

APPRECIATION DIARY

Visa approved this morning
Lagos Consulate
8am
Program: MPH

First of all, Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) for making this a success. Honestly, my responses were nowhere near perfect. As a matter of fact, it still feels like a dream.

My mentor, Rasulullah (peace and blessings forever be upon him) taught me, "whoever does not appreciate fellow man, will never be able to appreciate God".

My appreciation goes to the following for being a part of my success story:

@Mudicua
Thanks for reviewing my proposed transcript here. Your suggestions worked in no small measure. I really appreciate. Wish you success in your career.

@Shawarma
Queen of queens. This lady and her humorous sense ehn! I hope you remember this line: I wish you all the best and I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. You were the one pursuing me upandan with your transcript grin
Well, you didn't hurt my feelings in any way. I asked for unalloyed review of my transcript, and you gave just that. I really appreciate because your comments made me return to my drawing table. Wish you success in all your endeavors.

Lastly, but not in anyway the least,
@fairheart
This King of Queen Shawarma... Hmm... I don't even know where or how to start appreciating you. Like it's usually said in my local parlance, "tí mo bá ní kí n ṣe àdúrà, epe má jabọ́".
What a down-to-earth man you are! I really appreciate your efforts and words of encouragement. May you continue to soar higher and higher in life. Thank you a trillion times.

Finally, my NL people. Thanks for everything. Your comments, answers to questions, etc have really been helpful. May we all continue to break grounds in our future endeavors!

To those with upcoming interviews, I wish you a seamless experience with positive outcome.

Will drop my transcript once I get my passport.

Cheers!

Congratulations Brotherly!

Every successful person has a painful story, so never give up. A school bell that sounds as a disturbance at 8:am also sounds interesting at 2:pm... it's just a matter of time..so Don't envy anyone. Not everyone walking fast has an appointment. Some have running stomach!.

..If a rose smells better than tomatoes, It doesn't mean the rose can make a better stew. Don't try to compare yourself to others. You also have your own strength, look for it and build on it. All animals that exist, were in Noah's ark. A snail is one of those animals. If God could wait long enough for snails to enter Noah's ark; His door of grace won't close till you reach your expected position in life. Never look down on yourself, keep looking up. Remember that Broken crayons still color_. Keep on pushing, you never can tell how close you are to your dream.

As fall session is approaching we await more Approval this month. Let's go get the Visa! grin

Have a great week ahead...

I understand the state of euphoria one would be when they get there visa approved. Especially someone that has been denied once or twice before getting approved on the next attempt. It may not be easy to keep the happiness to themselves alone. That is why you will see them in an hurry to post it here that "my Visa was approved this morning. my transcript loading" grin .

I know how that feeling go be for body immediately you get your Visa approved. And I also know how you go feel if your Visa got Denied. Cus I know The denial go be like Oja wey don enter body and the Approval go be like Gbedu wey dey burst brain grin grin grin .

My Advice for you is that if you get your Visa approved and you feel you may not be ready to post the transcript here immediately Just be Phlegmatic enough to post your full transcript when you finally get your Visa at hand and see it with your korokoro eyes, or if you chose to post it when you get to USA, which ever way that suits you. If you kuku no post am we no go no say dem give you Visa but it's good to give back to the thread for others to learn. Don't be in an hurry to drop the half way whereby people will be disturbing you and quoting you up and down post your transcript! post your transcript! It is not my transcript, it is your transcript so you can choose to post it anytime convenient for you. Above all try and post it when it will be relevant and useful to the prospects. grin. Las Las we go dey alright grin

God Bless Nigeria! God Bless United State of America!

Too long, too detailed, too rehearsed for a 3 minute interview. The more detail, the more likely to forget key aspects. Keep it short, simple, sweet.

To be candid, you actually sound good in vetting transcript, but unfortunately you have jettisoned this good trait of yours a long time ago. I personally would be glad to have you back on this thread with other gurus in vetting applicant's transcript.

Thumbs up.
