Hope you guys don't mind if I use this simplistic analogy.
I'd say, each of us is like a kid raised by a single mom (called "Life" and have a biological father (called "God". Whether the kid ends up being close to the biological father or not kinda depends on the type of mom in question. Some push the kid away, some take him closer. And the plenty plenty stories the single mom (Life) tells the kids about their dad (God). The mom could say d man is a tough no nonsense somebody who slaps kids in advance before they even commit d crime, hehehe, or that he's an extremely generous somebody always giving out undeserved gifts without asking anything in return. See gobe. And to me these stories may be referred to as "religion".
Either way, I'd say the kid can get along with or without the man, all depending on what he stands to gain or lose.

The overpopulation in Lagos will never make Lagos work. The overpopulation will continue until Nigeria begin to work.

Right now Nigeria is not working but painfully and unbelievably very few people seems to know and strangely nothing is about to be done about it.

You are also very intelligent brother and it pleases me when I meet other people from the North who want to put STEM education at the forefront of things. Could you imagine if we replaced all the Qu'ran with Calculus and programming algorithm books? I'm not saying that we should abandon Islam, but we should definitely place a higher emphasis on Maths and Sciences.

Gaskiya bro, we are both from the North and born Muslims and I studied Computer Engineering but I do have a strong background in ICT in general. I do agree with you that our problem is religion and it's extremely strict religion. Look at our Kannywood movies for example. There is no kissing no love making, we are from a very strict culture.

I agree with you that education is extremely important and I like your thought process. We need more people like you in Yan Arewa, we need to continue developing our education system from Maiduguri to Kaduna and from Adamawa to Sokoto. We need to establish ourselves as a country that contributes a lot to the corporate world. Wow, I'm very proud of you bro.
