advocates:
Who else would accommodate your ego thriving, political naive tribal sentiment? Tell me? If not Nigeria, which African country would stand the stench of arrogance and hatred that oozed out of that region? Hardly you make comments without the inclusion of threat or insult Mr. "lnclinded". Maybe you have not realised how fed up by the second Nigerians are over your egocentric remarks. The worst is that, you lots contribute nothing to the economy.

Take a look at economic index on states with the most contributed GDP to the govt, and you will shock that the South east doesn't rank among the first three. So, where is your bursting about being mightier than thou. Maybe your departure will save us international disgrace that we have to cope with over the years. Even the Niger Delta that has served this nation until now, is not as vocal and senile like you leeches.
Good. Since no other African country is ready to accomodate our 'ego thriving, political naive tribal sentiment' as you put it, then let the Federal government hold a referendum to let the Igbos go form their own Nation. You can't hate someone so much and still want to self-destruct by allowing the same person to live with you. Isn't that another definition of insanity? Nigeria is 'a potentialy great nation' but presently an incredibly disfunctional nation and until this union is renegotiated am afraid that we shall continue vacillating endlessly.
It is not our fault that we are a great people. But it is our misfortune that we found oursleves in such an unholy union concocted by the British for their selfish purposes. The Igbos excel everywhere including in developed countries of the world where merit is respected. But down here, entrenched marginalization wount allow us thrive to propell this nation forward to unleash its great potentials.
That Sagay of a man insulted the great Igbo people. He is a marked man. He must pay for his sins. If you like call me a chest beater or whatever your childish brains comes up with. I have honoured you with a reply my dear.
PoliticsRe: Anti-Igbo Comments, Sagay Alleges Threat To Life, Raises Alarm. by Abel202:
Am a proud Igbo although not particularly inclined to Nnamdi Kanu's style.
However this thing called Sagay had the effrontery to insult the whole Igbo race. A great & mighty people that are only unfortunate, very unfortunate to find ourselves in an incredibly disfunctional country called Nigeria that is stifling the mighty potentials of a great people.
For his effrontery, he should be ready for what is coming to him.
He can never hide. He will pay for his sins.
Someone should tell the coward that there is no need crying that he is receiving threats.
He might have expressed his so called freedom of speech. But it shall dawn on him that there is no guarantee of freedom after speech.
PoliticsRe: Appeal-Court Sacks Ikpeazu, Declares Otti Winner by Abel202: 7:01pm On Dec 31, 2015
WAO WAO WAO.
Finally I find a great and wonderful reason to comment on Nairaland again.
Yupi Yupi Yupi!!!!

Finally Abia is liberated from the clutches of the evil Orjis that have held us down for over 16 years.
Majority of us Abians voted for Alex Otti. We knew T.A.Orji with Inec would declare Ikpeazu the winner.
We strongly banked on the fact that we shall reclaim the mandate from the courts. We are on course. We know that Ikpeazu will head to the Supreme court, but we are pretty optimistic that the Supreme Court shall uphold the ruling of this Apeal court.

I have nothing against Ikpeazu. But the evil man that brought him WILL NEVER allow him to realy govern Abia well. Forget the initial garagara of repairing a few roads here and there which wouldnt last beyond a year. We have seen that sort of nonsense with Orji Uzor Kalu, T.A. Orji and now with their Ikpeazu.

Abia has been very very unlucky since the the return of democracy in 1999. Now its our turn to shine.

Alex Otti will usher real governance to Abia. I strongly believe that he will bring back the lost glory of Aba and Abia in general.

In Alex Otti we hope we've gotten our own Akpabio/Fashola/Wilie Obiano.

After 16 years, am realy optimistic for my state. Abia shall rise again.

Chai Chineke kaa !!!!!!
PoliticsRe: Tribunal Upholds Ikpeazu's Election As Abia Governor by Abel202: 12:00pm On Nov 03, 2015
This is a very sad news. A very sad day indeed.
I have been waiting for this day since that election day. Alex Otti is the peoples' choice.
We are down but not out. Alex Otti should head to the appeal court and all to the Supreme court.
We must reclaim our stolen mandate. Abia must be free.
I have nothing against Ikpeazu. Infact he has tried in his initial garagara. But anyone the devilish T.A. Orji imposed on Abians must be booted out for Abia to be free. Or else the bondage continues. Abia has bled so much under the two evil Orjis. The evil ones know how to cage their stooge. It will be an uphill task for Ikpeazu to ever liberate himself and realy perform for Abia. Forget his initial garagara. We know them.
Alex Otti must appeal this verdict right away.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Violating Federal Character In Appointments – Ekweremadu by Abel202: 12:26pm On Oct 21, 2015
Ekweremmadu is right on point here "you do not even need a soothsayer or compulsion of the constitution to know that you must necessarily carry every part of the country along".
Buhari's definition of Nigeria is "Northern Nigeria and the sorrounding environment". He is an ethnic bigot of the worst order. He never changes. It is in his blood and soul. We have always known him for this, that is why we are not surprised. But we are not keeping quiet so that when the tables turn someday some people will remember that Buhari led us to whatever actions we take. No sane person who has the interest of Nigeria at heart will make the type of lopsided appointments Buhari has made. This is the heal of achilles of Buhari. That is why no matter how he succeeds in his presidency, a good chunk of Nigerians he is leading will always see him as the president of Northern Nigeria. No other Nigerian leader, (even all those former military rulers from the North) has been so myopic. The guy does not even try to hide his true colours. Well this could be a blessing in disguise, as it might hasten the decoupling of this country so that everyone goes his own way and regions can develop at their own pace instead of being buggged down in this bewildering mediocrity.
PoliticsRe: Tanzanians Are Very Excited Because Jonathan Is Arriving Their Country. by Abel202: 3:05pm On Oct 19, 2015
Former president Goodluck Jonathan deserves all the praises he is receiving.
Fact is that a singular act in a very critical moment can define a person's whole life journey for good or for bad.
Jonathan has written his name in gold in the books of democracy all over the world. Jonathan single handedly advanced Nigeria's democracy in a quantum leap by that singular act of accepting defeat and congratulating his opponent even before the final announcement of results.
Many people seem to downplay this heroic gesture which has ushered us into the world of advanced democracies. But some slight examples should get you thinking:
Laurent Gbagbo lost a re-election (after 10 years in power) as an incumbent, but refused to accept defeat. Cotedivoire entered into a civil war because of that and scores of people were killled, he is still being tried in the international court of Justice. Those lost lives are never coming back to life - NEVER.
Africa is riddled with sit-tight leaders who rig elections to keep staying on and will never accept defeat even if won. The likes of Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Museveni of Uganda, Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi, Paul Biya of Cameroon, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Denis Sassou-Nguesso of Congo Brazaville etc comes to mind. The world doesnt respect those nations as democracies because the sit tight leaders manipulate everything and everyone knows that. And any country with a sit tight leader is prone to civil war or serious chaos once the sit-tight leader suddenly dies or is edged out of power, because such countries lack a proper method of transferring power from one elected leader to another (forget what their constitution says). These countries come to mind, Bukina Faso, Egypt, Libya, Togo etc
Jonathan had many options: He could have changed the unbiased umpire - Jega when it became obvious Jega's Inec would not return Jonathan to power. He could have approached the Supreme court with most Judges appointed by him. He could have done the Buhari style of inciting his people to start killing and burning up things left, right and center. Infact if Jonathan wanted Nigeria to boil, he would have made Nigeria to boil. But whether he is seen as a weak leader or whatever your perception of him might be, he chose the part of honour. He chose to accept defeat and to congratulate his opponent even before the final announcement of result. Jonathan is the man that did to Nigeria's democracy what Obasanjo couldnt do, what IBB couldnt do, what Buhari could not do. Jonathan wrote his name in Gold. So Jonathan is the real father of Nigeria's modern democracy. You hear such things only in advanced democracies of America and Europe. Jonathan brought this new dawn of accepting defeat and congratulating your opponent to Nigeria - He is indeed a Nigerian and an African democracy Hero.
PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati: Who Would Ever Think Edwin Clark Would Publicly Disown Jonathan by Abel202: 1:06pm On Oct 16, 2015
Chief Edwin Clark's public denial of Jonathan barely 5 Months after he lost power is the worst form of betrayal. Abati is right. If Edwin Clark knew Jonathan was weak, which we all knew, he shouldn't have been so combative then in defending him and he shouldn't have been so open now in denying him.
Truth is that Jonathan was a mistake of a Leader. Jonathan lacked almost every quality which could define a leader and the worst was that He never grew into a Leader even after spending 16 years at the top echelons of Nigerian politics (Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice president, & ultimately President).
Jonathan has a good heart but he is weak, damned too weak to lead a nation like Nigeria.
But In spite of his obvious shortcomings, he did his best. Its doubtful if his best was quite good to Nigerians. But who amongst his predecessors lead Nigeria betterhuh That is the irony of this great nation. Though someone like Jonathan was never supposed to be near that sit of power, yet he didnt fare worse than those who had Leadership qualities but still chose to ran the nation aground.
Buhari has all the Leadership qualities needed to run a nation like Nigeria (although his age & his poor education are not good). But he can only succeed if he removes tribalism and nepotism from his blood which I doubt he can do. Buhari has assembled a great team as Ministers. If he can realy work with them and not (only) dictate to them, maybe we would fare better..
PoliticsRe: Jonathan To Lead 33-nation Election Observers In Tanzania. by Abel202: 7:28pm On Oct 10, 2015
Former president Goodluck Jonathan merits this mission. He advanced and deepened our democracy so very well.
If Jonathan wasn't a democrat he would long have found a way to remove Jega before that election. Because every report pointed to the fact that with Jega at Inec at that point he was going to lose. For some reasons best known to him (call it weakness or whatever), he allowed Jega to be and sort of allowed himself to lose the election. By peacefully handing over, he scored a very great point there too. Buhari would neither allow a Jega to be there at that crucial point in time nor accept defeat like Jonathan, Obasanjo wouldn't do that either, am not sure I would do it if am there anyway. So for Jonathan to have done it, he deserves all the accolade and respect for this gesture as he is getting by being sent on this mission instead of Obasanjo the founder of Do or Die politics.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Gets A Heroes Reception In Kano (Pix Updates) by Abel202: 6:23pm On Oct 10, 2015
Like him or hate him - Rochas Okorocha is a detribalized Nigerian. And he is one Igbo guy who can readily ganner the votes across the various regions to become Nigerian president if a major political party like APC or PDP picks him as their flag bearer.
I have always liked Rochas Okorocha and will always do. He is more than qualified to Lead Nigeria and I pray he will Lead this country some day in not-too-long a time. Nigeria needs someone like him at the helm of affairs. Someone who sees Nigeria as one, not someone who is so myopic as to think Nigeria belongs to only a section or region which is pure baldadash.
I know my people don't like him that much anymore because they think he betrayed us by supporting the APC. But that type of thinking is rather myopic to say the least. We can't just put all our eggs in one basket for crying out loud. And I don't even get it why my people are so obsessed with Jonathan who didnt do much concretely for the Igbos nor the PDP which has consistently failed us. PDP has not deemed it fit to pick up any Igbo man as its presidential or vice presidential candidate since 1999, nor has PDP realy done much in Igbo land. So why the obsession with PDP?
I neither like PDP nor APC in real terms. But people should be pragmatic to know the best way to push their agendas forward, not blindly following people or parties as if our very life depends on it. Okocha has peached his tent with APC and he is a big wig there. That is a very good move. Do not be surprised if something realy good comes out from it some day...
PoliticsRe: Prophecy Was Made That I Will Be Vice President – Osinbajo by Abel202: 5:58pm On Oct 10, 2015
God indeed works in miraculous ways. Thats a great prophesy that has been fulfilled in its due time.
Some people here justtalk trash about what they don't know.
Fact is that Osibanjo is one of the most qualified, eloquent and pragmatic vice president we have ever had in this country. Why don't people say the truth when they see it. Just listen to this guy speak and you will dream he was the actual president. His size doesnt matter. God chooses whom he desires and I think God chose the best vice president for us at this juncture. I pray someone with his intelligence and eloquence soon becomes the actual president of Nigeria soon. While I like Buhari in some ways and hate him in other ways, I realy do like Osinbanjo very well because he is well qualified, intelligent, pragmatic and eloquent.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Swoops On Diezani’s Residence In Abuja As Ex-minister Is Arrested In London by Abel202: 8:00pm On Oct 02, 2015
This is a good step in the right direction. If Mrs Madueke has no skeleton in her cupboard, then she need not worry her pretty head. She just has to hire a good team of lawyers with her deep purse and prove herself not guilty as charged.
This is one very good thing that I like about president Buhari. He is serious, damned serious about fighting corruption. Corruption has destroyed this great nation. So there is just no way I will not like any president that is serious about fighting corruption. I pray and hope that soon, T.A.Orji who stole all the money in Abia state and completely destroyed and sent Abia to the stone age, should soon be prosecuted.
Even if these are early days in Buhari's fight against corruption, but am sure that the detterance effect is already being felt. Most politicians now will be seriously watching their back as we have a fearless president who is ready to fight corruption to a reasonable extent.
If only Buhari could be less of an ethnic bigot. If only Buhari could be a real Nigerian president and not a Northern Nigerian president, and also learn more about building a modern era economy, then I would give him my total support.
Well I guess I will always praise him when he does the good ones like his serious fight against corruption, and criticise him without reservations where he shows his legendary ethnic bigotry.
FamilyRe: Is It Right For Father's To Bath Their Daughters? by Abel202: 1:39pm On Sep 26, 2015
I dont think there is anything wrong in it. But in other to avoid being considered a mad man by people with faulty eyesights, one should avoid trying to get into town with a dirty car mechanics attire lol. Am a proud father of 3 girls and a boy. I have NEVER bathed any of my daughters. Things we read these days are too scary, so I think its better one avoids certain things no matter how good your intentions might be. Our society is a bit biased against fathers. But you can't blame people sometimes because of the scary things we read about some so called fathers doing to their daughters. For example my wife while bathing my son could hold his little manhood and make a joke about it and we all have a good laugh. She could do that on a few more different occasions like while helping him to urinate when he is sleepy, and we all still have a good laugh; But if a father holds his daughters urinary machine and makes such jokes, or does it in some other occassions too, hmm people will start reading silly meanings into it. So better to avoid certain things while still being a great dad than trying to be a perfect dad and be termed something else by people with weird thoughts. This is my take on this - Cheers.
PoliticsRe: El-Rufai Welcomes Buhari As He Arrives For 62RC POP Of NDA by Abel202: 5:20pm On Sep 12, 2015
Hmm, Isn't it curious and such a "wonderful conicidence" that since Buhari was sworn in on May 29th 2015 everthing and every occassion that requires the physical presence of the president only happens in the North. Non of such has ever happened in the South since Buhari assumed office grin grin grin. Thats the reason why Buhari has visited some places twice in the North but yet to step foot in the South. Also such a great coincidence that since the assumption of Buhari all the competent brains in Nigeria now resides in the North, and only in the North wao huh huh huh. However curiously imperical evidence completely proves him wrong - In fact the opposite could be said to be the case.
The problem with this president is that he is so unashamedly Nepotic that even people that genuinely respect him find it had to keep up the respect. While I like Buhari's charisma and his no nonsense anti-corruption stance, I hate his Northern supremecist attitude, and the most annoying is that He does not even try to be pragmatic. Buhari is such an unrepentant incurable ethnic bigot. It is safe to say that He is the president of Northern Nigeria. That is too bad because someday power will change hand, either in 4 or 8 years time, power will return to the South and this time arround, not to a weakling like Jonathan, then some people will understand the evil presedence Buhari has set. 4 or 8 years in the life-span of a nation is nothing. So let some myopic Kids keep shouting Sai Baba now and not correct this ethnic bigot, until this nation implodes (which wouldn't be a bad thing anyway). No Nigerian president Living or Dead has shown this level of ethnic bigotry as Buhari. In a multi-ethnic 21st century Nigeria, we shall see where this clanish attitude of his shall take us to.....
PoliticsRe: “Appointment Of More Northerners” – Buhari Finally Opens Up by Abel202: 11:42am On Sep 09, 2015
I have stopped commenting on nairaland for almost a year because its like kids have invaded this great site. None the less am on Nairaland every single day.
Buhari is an unrepentant and incurable ethnic bigot - This is a fact. Anyone arguing this is only playing to the gallery. You can not make such ethnic bigotry accusation on Obasanjo or IBB for example - Why always Buhari? Jonathan might be a weak and ineffective leader, but Jonathan was not an ethnic bigot either inspite of what some myopic people might want to paint him.
Those that see nothing wrong with Buhari's Northern supremecist attitude should also not cry when someone from another section of the country takes over in 4 or 8 years time (as must happen). The beauty of this democracy is that the presidency can not reside in one section always.
Buhari's actions and utterances and body language shows that he is only the president of Northern Nigeria, visiting only Northern Nigeria, only interested in issues that concern Northern Nigeria, unless its the Oil from the South that will generate money to take care of Northern Nigeria. That is the evil side of Buhari - I pray it does not destroy this administration of his as it did his military era.
On the good side, this Buhari is very serious about fighting corruption and I love him for that. This is one area Jonathan failed woefuly. If Buhari could bring on board the special courts for corruption to fast track corruption cases and strengthen the Efcc to do their job well I think we shall make real progress in curbing corruption which is a real menace to our societly.
PoliticsRe: Fani-kayode Discharged, Acquitted Of Money Laundering by Abel202:
This is just so annoying.
Truth is that this Jonathan government is the most corruption-friendly government I have ever seen.
Since Jonathan took over all the corrupt cases against these high profile politicians are being dropped one after the other.
Openly corrupt and incompetent ones like T.A.Orji are receiving national awards.
He is not even initiating new cases against any high profile person either.
Obasanjo might have been selective and vindictive in his fight against corruption, but no one can deny the fact that there was indeed a 'fight' against corruption. Yaradua watered it down. Jonathan has killed the fight against corruption. Infact Jonathan is encouraging corruption and impunity by his actions and inactions.
This is so so frustrating.
Jonthan is making it hard, very hard for people like me to keep supporting him.
If not that this country is abnormal there is no way I will support Jonathan.
But what alternative do I have? Is it the die hard Jihardist/religious fundamentalist Buhari, or the utterly corrupt Atiku, or the ethnic bigot called Kwankwaso, or the funny and naive Tambuwal? No to all these alternatives.
If I could have Fashola, Akpabio, Osheomole or Pat Utomi on any major party as flag bearer then I will not go for Jonathan. If APC gives Rochas Okorocha its ticket for the presidency I will not vote Jonathan. But where non of my permutations works out, I might still end up voting for this Jonathan. What a country? Chai.....
PoliticsRe: Okorocha In Aba For Apc Rally. by Abel202: 7:30pm On Nov 09, 2014
My People,
Multi-party democracy is good because it offers you candidates from several parties to choose from.
Granted that South East ie Ndi Igbo are PDP states. However Abia state is a peculiar state in the South east.
Abia boasts of Aba which is a commercial hub in West Africa and could play even a more pivotal role in the economic life of Abia and the entire country. However Abia state under the two Orji's has had the worst governance anywhere in the country. And strangely, Aba has seen more of the worst governance from these useless governors than any other city or village in the state.
The Two governors ie Oriji Uzor Kalu(former) and T.A Orji(present) happens to come from one party ie the PDP.
While I and the entire Abia people still remain a core PDP people, but we would be the most stupid set of people if we allow T.A.orji to choose his successor and the person wins and becomes Abia state next governor. Reason is simple - the person would have sworn to Okija shrine and sold his soul to the devil - meaning that he will perform absolutely nothing like the useless T.A.Orji or he might even be worse than him.
Now T.A.Orji has the Abia state PDP machinery under his full command. So what he says is law and whom he annoints is favored. So its simple, should we go with PDP in Abia then we are in for another 8 useless years. Can Abia state aford another 8 useless years after 16 useless years? Considering where our neighbours - Akwa Ibom, Rivers & Imo are heading, wouldnt it be a complete madness to allow a T.A.Orji protegé to continue after him?
Under this scenario, if APC, APGA, or any party produces a better, competent and sellable candidate, I tell you, Aba people will MASSIVELY vote for that person.
The only problem we have is that T.A.Orji and his co travellers have perfected the art of rigging in Abia state. So the question is - even if we vote in an APC or APGA candidate, will our votes realy count in Abia state?
PoliticsRe: Mark To Run Again For Senate. by Abel202: 10:25am On Oct 28, 2014
My people,
The ignorance many people are showing here is quite disturbing.
The legislature is not the same with the executive.
In the legislative chambers, the longer a senator or a representative stays the better for the constituency he is representing and the nation- that is if he is doing a good job at that. It is not healthy for our democracy that Senators serve one or two terms and are "zoned out" for other upstarters to "have their turn".
The more experience a legislator garthers, the better he is at serving the nation.
David Mark has been a very competent Senate president like some people have already mentioned here. He has brought maturity and stability to the hallowed chambers. When you see him presiding over the senate, you wish and realy wish that our president GEJ could be that presidential.
Someone here mentioned Ndoma Egba and Ekwere Mmadu as having served long and dont want to give way for other people. That is naivety at its height. Ndoma Egba is one of the best Senator we have in that chamber, if not the best. The Nation surely needs competent senators like him arround for a long time. Ekwere Mmadu is a great senator too. It will be very bad for Sullevan Chime to scheme him out so as to pick up his senatorial position. Sullevan sure is a performing governor, but I assure everyone that Ekwere mmadu with his competence in the legislature and his experience is far more useful in the Senate than Sullevan can ever be.
It is precisely because experience is very crucial in the legislature that no term limit is imposed on them.
Many people here needs to educate themselves before commenting. Now please dont get me wrong. There are so many useless individuals who has no business being in that Senate. Those are the ones that should be voted out at the slightest opportunity.

In any case, your wify has already ensured that you woun`t have nothing to look at again.
Just make your wife understand (as I have made mine), that you can not be held responsible for committing `lookery` when you are on your own, minding your own business, and some female folk decides to expose some part of her body to your clear unobstructed view.
As long as you dont go digging out things to look. As long as you look the ones dished out in your face, my dear you are committing no crime, that is according to me though. I dont care what anyone thinks about this.

HealthRe: Health Min. Onyebuchi Chukwu Deserves Commendation For His Fight Against Ebola. by Abel202: 6:55pm On Sep 13, 2014
My people,
If one must criticise government officials when they fail to do their duties, then one must also learn to applaud them when they do their jobs rather pragmatically. If you are only good at seeing Jonathan's ministers that must be fired, but fail to see those that do excellent work, then you are myopic.
The O.P is very much on point. Health Minister Onyebuchi Chucku should be praised. Infact he should be celebrated. He and his team in collaboration with all the health officials in the Federal and State level have effectively fought the dreaded Ebola virus to a standstill in Nigeria. When this Ebola entered Nigeria, the whole foreign media were running frenzy with speculations of how it will devastate this country as everyone knows how poorly we handle virtualy anything. But Onyebuchi and his team has not only dissapointed them, but he has even done the unexpected by securing their admiration and respect due to his pragmatism.
This disease is ravaging Liberia, Siera Leon & Guinea. Infact the case of Liberia is getting out of hand.
In a country where hadly anything works. Where hadly any government official does his job effectively talkless of pragmatically, when we suddenly see one man that has done excellently thereby saving Millions of Lives of Nigerians, that man deserves not only to be praised, but to be celebrated. There is nothing wrong in celebrating success. Even the United States has commended Nigeria for the effective manner we have tackled this Ebola outbreak headlong, so why shouldn't we celebrate the man who's pragmatism has shown like a shining star?
If Goodluck Jonathans administration could handle Corruption and Security the way they have handled this Ebola outbreak, then Nigeria will surely be on its way to becoming the great nation we are destined to be.

If you are 18 & above and you & your sister who is equaly above 18 decide to sleep together, it is very much society's business to stop both of you from committing that crime called insest.
Likewise when two senseless (adult) males decides to sleep together it is very much the business of the state to stop them from committing that atrocity.
Some of you think everything from the western world is all good. But you must know that every society and every people decides what is good for them and what is not in line with what is universaly accepted.
Every right thinking human being knows that being gay is being crazy. Simply because Obama and some weird western leaders has impressed it upon their legislatures to pass the gay right bills does not make it the right thing.
Uganda passed the anti gay law. But they obviously do not have the lever to withstand the unslaught in the form of sanctions etc from the west. Uganda breaths mostly on foreign aids from the west, that is why Museveni has made a U-turn by going through the back door to arm-twist the supreme court to overturn the law. That is pure cowardise. He shouldnt have started what he does not have the ability to withstand.
Nigeria on the other hand is a regional power and therefore a world power. The U.S or the West does not have much leverage to use in arm twisting Jonathan to act cowardly like Museveni on this gay right nonsense (have you heard of any sanctions imposed on Nigeria because of the anti-gay right bill we passed here?). So anyone dreaming that Nigeria will change the anti-gay law soon is on a pipe dream. Nigerians in our overwhelming majority approves the anti gay legislation here. So the highest Obama can do is not to visit Nigeria during Jonathan's reign (I dont see him visiting any time soon anyway because that Obama does not show respect to whom respect is due, and his African policy is whack). PoliticsRe: Bomb Blast At Zoo Road,Near Shoprite In Kano!!!!! by Abel202: 8:44pm On Jul 28, 2014
My people,
Is it that we have completely lost our sense of humanity or what?
Some crazy lunatic jihardists are busy bombing and killing every living thing in the North on a daily bases and some people are here unashamedly feeling happy over it - jeeeez. This is unbelievable. Some other people are here playing crazy tribal e-wars here. I can't believe the kind of people that are here with me on this nairaland.
Even if you advise your son not to put his hand in the fire, but he clearly ignores your advise & rather jumps into the fire thinking its a picnic and starts being burnt, if you stay there laughing at him and saying "I warned you, ntooo!!", then you must be the most heartless and most cruel fellow living.
Even if the core North brought the ant infested firewood into their region which invariably invited lizards to come feasting there as we are witnessing today, our humanity and sense of empathy still beholds on us to emparthise with them. And come to think of it, we are still ONE NATION and we are better off as one nation if our leaders gets certain fundamentals right. So my people please please please stop rejoicing over the predicaments of others for crying out loud. And this is not even "others" predicaments, it is "our" collective predicament. If a bomb goes off in any town in Northern Nigeria, chances are that not only Northerners would be killed, but also Southerners.
Let us stop this senseless tribal wars. I dont even know what the bombing in the North has got to do with yoruba and Igbo supremacists? Why can't you people be human for once? Haba!!! These are human lives we are talking about here for Christs sake!!!

Kudos Mr president for this one.
You are certainly on the right track as far as Agriculture is concerned.
You are doing great in many areas.
But your fight against corruption is non existent and you are not doing well in securing the nation as well.
Tidy up the fight against corruption & security and you are good to go.

FamilyRe: My Brother Is Stupidly In Love With The Wrong Person by Abel202: 6:52pm On Jul 12, 2014
OP, the signs are clear. Do everything in your power to ensure that your brother does not marry that girl or any of her type. Inform your parents immediately. Raise all the dust you can NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.
Your brother is either stu.pidly in love or is being diabolically controlled. Whichever way, if he marries that girl now, He will surely and certainly regret later. And when your brother messes up his life, he has also roped in the family in a life-long mess.
I am saying this because if I knew what I know now, I would not have allowed certain things to go wrong with a few people in my family.
I have an uncle who destroyed his life due to this kind of glaring issues. The family tried, but he insisted on having his way, today he is long gone and the wife is a big lady. I have a sister who also refused all our advises and insisted on marrying her "lover" because she said she was an adult that knows what she was doing. Today whenever I see my sister I cry. I wount go into details but she is permanently messed up. we tried dissuading her from that marriage but she wouldnt listen.
But with hindsight, if I knew that the signs we saw then would bring her to her sorry state now I would have done everything humanly possible, even divinely possible to make sure that the marriage never took place. But she & my uncle are now used as lesson in the family.
So OP NOW IS THE TIME TO SAVE YOUR BROTHER & FAMILY FROM A LIFE OF AGONY THAT MIGHT END IN MISERY FOR HIM & FOR YOUR PARENTS. DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO STOP THAT UNION. EVEN IF PEOPLE ACCUSE YOU OF TOO MUCH MEDDLING, ITS BETTER LIKE THAT THAN FOR YOU TO SEE YOUR BROTHER LATER IN LIFE IN THE STATE AM SEEING MY SISTER PRESENTLY. He that has ears Let him hear !!!!!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Should Start Acting Like A Leader – US Lawmakers by Abel202: 12:15pm On Jul 10, 2014
ISpiksDaTroof: Stop comparing Apples and Oranges, stop comparing Obama and GEJ... you sound like a loony doing that.
All I said is GEJ might have a PhD in the Nigerian standard, but in Western countries its probably equivalent to Junior in College. Thats the truth whether you want to admit it or not. Does GEJ sound like someone that graduated a 4-yr college? How about the fact that his wife claims to have a Masters degree?
Fact is fact, regarless of whether it makes you upset. Deal with it.
Mr man,
Am here to burst your bubble.
So if you are intelligent as you have been claiming to some kids in this forum, then take up issues on your American society and politics which I have mentioned and I will trash you there. You probably think your America is heaven on earth and that your Obama is the best thing that has happened to humankind since the advent of ice cream.
Speaking English is not a way to measure a person's educational qualifications. If it was then Indians who were also colonised by Britain would be regarded as illiterates as they can hadly speak coherent or understandable English. Yet they are doing wonders now.
Your Obama who is an Orator is yet to achieve anything with his oratorical skills. Just yesterday another wayward American picked up a gun and gunned down many people before being caught. Yet your orator Obama can't manage to get both houses of parliament to pass the Gun reform bill. Oh I forgot, the gun lobby group is more powerful than the orator Obama.
WHAT HAS YOUR FLUENT ENGLISH SPEAKER OBAMA ACHIEVED WITH IT OUTSIDE PROMOTING GAY RIGHT NONSENSE?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Should Start Acting Like A Leader – US Lawmakers by Abel202: 9:18pm On Jul 09, 2014
ISpiksDaTroof: First off, I never stated my Educational qualifications. Second, if you really believe your President is a qualified Masters degree holder, kudos to you. But I'll tell you this: THE REST OF THE WORLD DOESNT THINK SO!
This guy, I think its time you stop harrassing my people here in this forum with your half-baked education. I challenge you to confront me.
President Jonathan does not need to have a PHD to preside over the affairs of Nigeria. The fact that he does actualy have it is a great plus. Jonathan does not need to string up correct sentences in English to prove his educational qualifications as English is not our first language here.
Now your "intelligent" Obama has not been able to use his "oratory & fluency" in English to manage to make both the Republicans and Democrats to work together in both legislative houses to bring out the needed legislations. As we write, he is now governing mostly on "Decrees". The Republicans are threatening to go to court to block him as they have been blocking virtualy anything reasonable the young man wants to do for your country. So much for advanced people.
Your orator Obama has not been able to get the gun control bill passed by both houses. That one seems to have been abandoned while any insane American can still walk into a store, purchase a heavy duty gun and gun down people as easily as he likes.
Your intelligent Obama has not been able to get the Immigration reform bill passed.
Your intelligent Obama's greatest success is probably in propagating gay rights all over the world - so much for a demented orator.
Your intelligent Obama was clearly outsmarted by Vladimir Putin in the Syrian war because Putin is a strong man unlike your weak orator Obama who can not even maintain his own words on his own established "red line".
Your "sophisticated" country's Republicans are a set of useless racists that have made sure that your president does not achieve anything and your country is worse off for it. And you are here drinking panadol on Nigeria's wahala as if you people dont have enough to worry about.
Respond to me, I will dish out more!!!
CrimeRe: Malaysia Based Nigerians Swindle More Than $11 Million From American Women. by Abel202: 5:18pm On Jul 09, 2014
bootstrap: You raised some valid points, but then again it the typical Nigeria way. Fault truths told just for our own gain.

I dnt knw if u ve ever been to Malaysia or u presently live there... if u do, then u will just read and acknowledge because out of every 10 Nigerians in Malaysia, 1 is doing phd, 2 doing masters and the other 7 are criminals. That is just the truth.
My dear, the point am trying to make is that whether the Nigerians in Malaysia are realy the culprits or not, until there is a valid investigation that proves such, then all this write up is mere speculation. Until they are able to prove that these crimes are being committed by mostly Nigerians, then these are mere speculations.
Granted that Nigerians are very smart and are now sophisticated enough to do what they are doing in Malaysia without being caught. I dont want to go into the morality or otherwise of their actions as everyone knows that crime and fraud is bad; But I maintain that Unless and Untill it is proven beyond every reasonable doubt that any crime is being committed by a Nigerian, no one has the right whatsoever to conjour up a sensationalised write up against my people and you expect me to clap for the person. Hell No!!!
If these westerners are as intelligent and as sophisticated as they have always claimed to be since time immemorial, then how come they claim that the Nigerians always end up outsmarting them and they keep crying blue murder without being able to prove beyond every reasonable doubt that it is the Nigerians that are doing all these?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Should Start Acting Like A Leader – US Lawmakers by Abel202: 4:39pm On Jul 09, 2014
My People,
It's very funny the way people take everything that emanates from America very seriously.
Some congresswoman that probably knows close to nothing about Nigeria or interntional politics, outside the primary school she used to teach, makes some disrespectful statement about our president and people are clapping for her. Well I dont entiremy blame people because our president doesnt know how to handle his position in most cases, thereby bringing disrespect and disrepute to his office and to us Nigerians.

But be that as it may, it's high time these U.S congressmen or senators or whatever they are learn how to mind their business if they cant show respect to whom respect is due.

America has completely messed up Iraq. There was no single weapon of mass destruction as they claimed as reason for invaiding a once peaceful Iraq with a dictator Sadam Hussein who held the country firmly together. Today Hussein is deposed and long dead, Iraq has "democracy". So are Iraqis better off now than before that Bushman of America came to destroy their country? Hell No. Iraq is in a total mess and is almost completely turn apart today by civil war. Who messed up Iraq? Answer = USA. Who is messing up Afghanistan? Answer = USA.
Has the Malaysian plane been found? Answer= No. The US and all the world powers that get o.rg.asm in castigating our president are already here in the North looking & searching for the Chibok girls. If they have not been able to find the girls with all their acclaimed sophistication, THEN THEY SHOULD SHUT UP AND CONTINUE SEARCHING. FOR THEY ARE AS INCOMPETENT and & AS CLUELESS AS THE JONATHAN THEY FIND PLEASURE IN CASTIGATING.
