In one week in Nigeria, we have lost close to 200 people.[b]Point of correction: The Kenyan president did not anull his visit to the UN general assembly because of the attack on Nairobi. He annulled the visit before that attack precisely because his vice president is currently in the Hague at the International Criminal Court facing trials concerning crimes against humanity emanating from the Kenyan former post election violence where many people died. The president said he couldn't leave the country while his vice is also out of the country. The president is also billed to go and face the same charges by November. The statement released by the Nigerian presidency is just the normal diplomatic statement that most friendly countries make when such attacks happen in a fellow friendly nation. There is no need to read much meaning into it. Although on the face level it looks rather quite ironical. While not holding brief for president GEJ, if he is to be releasing statements everytime Boko Haram kills people in one village or the other, it will become annoying. The fight against Boko Haram is an ongoing battle. So casualties are bound to surface on a regular bases. But the Kenyan attack is a one off attack on the Kenyan Capital, touching many nationalities from Al Shabab based in Somalia (another country), that is why its getting more news coverage from all over the world like the Boko Haram attack on the United Nations Building in Abuja sometime back. Another point of correction is that GEJ did not travel to the United Nations with 600 people. Its only useless websites like saharareporters can report such crap. But even before the refutal from Reuben Abati most discerning Nigerians already knew that it was a blatant lie. Another fact is that Nigeria is a Big Brother in Africa. Whether we have our internal problems or not, we shall never allow it to stop us from flexing our muscles to show that indeed we are the big brothers (example is the Malian crisis where we sent our troops to help in stabilizing Mali inspite of the fact that we are still fighting Boko Haram). Most of his assertions are in order. But this particular point is out of date. A couple can actually help influence the sex of their child by the particular days they choose to have intercourse as you have pointed above. You are correct. I had two babe girls, and I wanted my next issue to be a son so that I will stop at 4 kids i.e Two girls and two boys. I succeeded in geting a boy as my third child due to this knowledge that I and my wife acquired. Although I must stress that in all its God that determines the sex of the unborn child. T.a.orji is the worst thing that has happened to humanity. His criminal neglect of Aba is unbearable. These pics are just a tip of the iceberg. People live in these places. People have properties they invested Millions there too. Yet this incompetent t.a.orji has chosen to steal all our money and allow people to live and suffer at Aba as if we are still in the stone age. This is annoying, very annoying. True these pictures are not the best of Aba. But the truth is also that there is hadly any governance going on at Aba except extortng money from citizens under one guise or the other by his paid thugs. I pray that work starts on this federal road soon as has been variously reported. I am optimistic in that because the great performing Akpabio is involved. We realy need to be holding our South East governors accontable. While it is true that the SE receives the lowest federal allocation monthly, it is equally true that if Abia state had a human being as governor instead of this t.a.orji guy, even the paltry federal allocation plus the internally generated revenue Aba can boast will make Aba look a million times better than what we have presently. Other governors are building bridges and flyovers even where they are hadly needed, but Waterside bridge in Ogbor hill Aba records deaths almost on a daily bases, yet the ewu governor sits in Umuahia doing nothing but spending our money advertising himself in every imaginable media available - TUFIAKWA. Yet we have one stupiid t.a.orji in Abia state who has wasted 6 years and under his watch Aba has turned into a large refuse dump. He will tell you its because he has Aba and Umuahia. Well Peter Obi also has Awka and Onitsha, his sit of power is Awka, but he has not forgoten Onitsha. Any Anambra governor that sidelines Onitsha because he sits at Awka is plain stupid. These model schools built by Amaechi are amongst the best in Nigeria and are comparable to what is obtainable in developed nations of the world. That shows you that Amaechi has vision and he goes for standard quality. He has class and style. I remove my hat for him. Amaechi is doing quite well in Rivers. But someone here thinks because Amaechi is doing well, that Akpabio is not doing anything, wao, that is stupidity and politics carried to a myopic level. Because although Amaechi is trying, but Godswill Akpabio remains the best PDP governor if not the best governor in Nigeria. His Achievements are just too numerous to mention. I have allways said it that performance in Nigeria is not based on party affiliations. Its based on the individual. There are performing governors from PDP like Akpabio, Amaechi, Chime;And there are useless and idiotic PDP governors like t.a. Orji of Abia state; there are performing governors in the opposition too like Fashola (ACN), Rochas (APGA, Peter Obi(APGA) etc. So if we get the right person into the presidency, even if he is a PDP or APC man, he will perform. But if you vote the wrong person into the presidency, even if he is APC and all the other parties combined he will still fail as his predecesors. So let's shine our eyes. But what he did has presedence as against what some people are saying here that no muslim has done that before. Remember that the Christmas day underpant bomber was reported to the American authorities earlier by his father when he noticed some strange behaviours of his son. His father reported him to the appropriate authorities, but the authorities failed to do the appropriate thing and it nearly cost them a lot of American lives. The reason why am so proud of this man is that if you are actualy a dad and have a son, you would realise that it is the ultimate sacrifice to deliver your own son, your own blood, your lineage, to the hangman, no matter the crime your son might have committed. Honestly speaking I am not sure that I can do it if I were in that man's shoes. So I pray NEVER to be in that man's shoes. Slowly and steadily this Boko Haram nonsense is being brought under control. GEJ has finally shown that he can be a no-nonsense man, and the whole nation is queing behind him to get the security situation under control. Although the ACN e-warriors celebrate everything ACN even if they build one Latrine in one house while the PDP e-warriors castigate the ACN even though they build the eight wonder of the world in Nigeria; truth be told - Fashola is a great guy. He (Fashola) and Akpabio are my best governors in Nigeria. They are great performers. While Akpabio has dramatically turned Akwa Ibom from a rural bypass state to a modern state of destination with modern infrastructures within a considerably short space of time; Fashola has governed Lagos state as a very sophisticated and goal-oriented governor. Lagos is a mini Nigeria and is far more populated than many countries in the world. So anyone that has governed Lagos this effectively can make a good president for Nigeria.If Fashola or Akpabio contests for president in Nigeria under any party, they have my vote. Rochas, Osheomole & Amaechi are great guys too, not for getting Peter Obi and Sullivan Chime (don't forget that the South East states hardly get any serious allocations). Abia state is just damned unfortunate to get the likes of Orji Uzor kalu to T.a.Orji in quick succession. Those two are evil men that don't deserve to be local gvt chairmen of any LGA. Nigeria is fighting ours headlong and still we are a major troops contributor to most African flashpoint areas. That should make you realise the weight of Nigeria and our power. If Obama fails to visit Nigeria, he can not claim that its because we are undemocratic or corruption is high as some ignorant people are posting here. Nigeria is a major player, a regional super power, as far as African and thereby World politics is concerned. Every American president knows that you can not ignore Nigeria if you realy intend to engage Africa. Unless the president wants to neglect Africa entirely. Fact is that although I like Obama, but he does not respect Africa nor African leaders, and thats too naive of him. Whenever Obama wants to invite an African leader to the white house, he invites 3 or 4 of them at a time. If he wants to visit, he visits 3 or 4 at a time and lectures on Democracy and good governance. But when it comes to Burma or Arab countries he forgets democracy and good governance. Obama's assendancy to power is one of the greatest thing that has happened in this century, but truth be told, Obama does not show respect to Africa nor its leaders and that is stupiidity on his part. Just check out how Western Leaders visit Iraq, Afghanistan etc. It is always called a "surprised visit". Where as in actual terms the host governments already know in advance that such visits will take place. So all the GEJ haters should calm down and watch events as they unfold. Nigeria is the Giant of Africa and America's Obama will neglect this great country at his own peril. I assure you all that Obama knows better than that. The president of Burma has just visited USA and Obama after Obama visited his country some few months back, Nigeria is a far better Democracy than Burma. South Africa's ANC and Jacob Zuma are not more democratic than Nigeria's Jonathan and PDP. Egypt is a democratic mess yet Obama visited Egypt even under the autocratic former president Hosni Mubarak. So let no one preach to you that Nigeria is not democratic. Infact just check out some few African countries like Cameroon where the life president Paul Biya has just woken up and established a new 100 man senate which comprises of 70 "elected" members and 30 selected ones. The so called elected 70 where almost handpicked by the same president under a so called electoral college where electors where packed in a room and their mobile phones seized and told what to do. The second Niger bridge should be started and let us see it being done. I have read a lot resently about it so I want to see it started so that we start counting that into GEJ's steadily climbing achievements. Jonathan does not inspire confidense as a Leader should, neither does he have the charisma or the boldness that a leader should have, but truth be told, Jonathan is getting it right in very critical sectors of the economy, and that is what matters. If the APC gets their act together and puts their house in order it would be a good and welcome development. But whether they can be able to wrestle power at the center from the PDP is an entirely different thing. PDP has failed Nigerians undoubtedly, but that is because PDP has refused to make the right and capable people president. I mean if PDP makes Akpabio instead of Jonathan president we all know that Nigeria will be far more better for it. Likewise if the APC is serious, they should look in the direction of vibrant and achieving people like Fashola, Osheomole or Okorocha. But if the APC makes the mistake of fielding Buhari or Shekaru, they are sure to fail. I humbly disagree with this guy that I have quoted here. This is not yet time for any Northern president. Let the North get this straight. If we notice (as is becoming clear day by day) that this APC contraption is not meant to bring something better than PDP but only to enthrone a Northern president, then forget it, APC is dead on arrival. The North has ruled or rather misruled this nation for more than 38 years, so we are not yet in a haste to go back to those dark days. For the APC to have any chance at displacing Jonathan come 2015 they should forget Buhari, Shekaru and his co travellers and look in the direction of Fashola, Rochas and Osheomole and get for their vice the likes of El Rufai or Sanusi; If no then Jonathan will certainly cruise to victory in style.[/b] Godman_n: I suppose every one here wants a better future for Naija. My People, this is a step in the right direction. However its one thing for the president to send a bill to the national assembly, and entirely another thing for those people in the two chambers of the national assembly to pass it. They delay a lot in passing bills, and they have a tendency of watering it down. So kudos to Jonathan on this one. But his party has a majority in both chambers of the legislature, so he should use his party machinery to ensure a speedy passage of the bill and that its not watered down. Jonahan still needs to do A LOT MORE before people shall take him serious as far as fighting corupton is concerned because that's his weakest link. Once again Mr president, this is one small step in the right direction as far as tackling your hill of achilles is concerned, Kudos!!! |

[b]Am a christian, but I can't claim to have a clear-cut answer to your question as I myself have my own questions in my mind too. But I think these might be the reasons why God will set up the judgement day: 1. Granted that God already knows who is guilty and who is not, but some guilty people honestly do not know that they are guilty. Some pastors will go to hell for so many reasons. So God, being a just God will use that day to make it known to you the reasons why you do not qualify to go to heaven or vice versa. 2. I think God will also give us the oportunity to defend ourselves for some of our actions and reasons behind it. Fact is that many judges already knows a very guilty criminal, but they still allow you to defend yourself before condemning you, that is called fair-hearing. 3. On that day, God will open our rememberance faculty and we shall be able to remember every action we took while on earth so that we know exactly why one is being sent to heaven and the other hellfire. For example we have the witches association of Nigeria, we all know where their members are already headed, right? But we also have the Christian Association of Nigeria. Truth is that many of the great names in this association will end up in hell according to the Bible. So if for example you end up in hell and meet Bishop Kum..... after all the mighty works here, you will be damned too surprised and wonder what's wrong with God. But the judgement day will afford everyone the oportunity to know and understand why I for example must be put in heaven while some other person might go to hell.[/b] 6 Likes |

Outside Kano state, who knows Shakau, abi na shekaru? I have said it before, let me reiterate here for emphasis sake - If the APC wants to have any chance at all at displacing GEJ come 2019 they should field people like - Fashola, Rochas, Osheomole and get the likes of El Rufai, Sanusi, Shekaru or whetever from the North to be the VP. This is the only way they stand a chance to cut Jonathan core base of SS and SE, get SW, cut N.Central and get NE and NW. However if the APC is bent on fielding people like Buhari, Shekaru, mallam and Alhaji, they have already lost the election as Jonathan will cruise to victory. Now beacuse the Igbo man's DNA is wired for success, we can fall as many times as possible, but we always rise to the top. Now the Igbo man's rise to power is looking imminent with our cousin Jonathan already in the sit of power, and so many people are already feeling threatened and jittery. Wao similar like the fear of the Jew. Truth is that if everything is left on merit the people that can compete with the Igbo man is the South South and South West. The great Godswill Akpabio is one of the best governors in Naija and definitely the best PDP governor. If you know Uyo before you would know that it was just a glorified village. Akpabio has turned it into almost a Dubhai and is doing many more great things even in Ikot Ekpene and beyond. I have said it before, IF NIGERIA IS A SERIOUS COUNTRY AND PDP IS A SERIOUS PARTY THEN THE PDP MUST FIND A WAY TO MAKE THIS GREAT AKPABIO THE PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY. Fashola is a great and dynamic Governor too, one of the best in Nigeria and certainly the best ACN and opposition governor. Fashola has a more populated and a more diversified state in Lagos to govern. Anyone who has governed Lagos as effectively as Fashola has done merits becoming the President of Nigeria and nothing less. Rochas Okorocha is doing so great in Imo state too. He has only been in power for a little less than 2 years unlike Fashola and Akpabio who have done almost 6 years, But Rochas is already doing wonders in Imo - Owerri, Olu etc. If the APC IS SERIOUS THEY MUST FIELD FASHOLA OR ROCHAS AS THEIR PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT COME 2015. Before someone thinks am from any of these states, am from Abia and am ashamed to say that my governor T.A.Orji is the worst thing that has happened to Abia state. He is the worst governor as under him, Aba the Japan of Africa can not boast of any maintainance of its dilapidated facilities or building of new ones. Akpabio is building bridges and FlyOvers where they might not even be needed if not for esthetic views, but Ogbor Hill Bridge at Aba is almost collapsing and Road accidents happen there on a daily bases but the Federal gvt has done nothing and our ever useless governor has not been able to repair(not build new one) local roads talkless of handling a bridge. [b]My people, on the face level this is good as we realy do not need more states. Instead we need to make the existing ones more viable. But for equity sake the South East needs at least one more state to come at par with the six states which other geo-political zones have while one Northern zone even have 7. One more state in the South East was the only state approved for creation in the earlier draft that Ihedioha presented before the Northerners started shouting nonsense. Truth is that you can't blame the South East caucus or say they are not united. The military made it so. The military all headed by Northerners created the lopsided states and LGAs to favor the North. So they have more Senators and more Representatives. This was to ensure that to make any change to favor the South like this state creation would be hard to impossible under this democracy. These they did and sealed in the constitution before handing over to the civilians,including putting in the constitution that every state of the federation must produce one Minister under every government, to make sure the North dominates in everything. So as long as we are under this democracy and we do not have a strong-willed leader who is assertive, any meaningful change that will favor the south that needs constitutional change is dead on arrival. Democracy is a question of numbers and the Northern Military establishment ensured that the numbers overwhelmingly favored the North before handing over and they know that their Northerners do not reason out of the box as they are very petty and tribalistic, therefore there is hardly any room for a reasonable number from the Northern legislators supporting a worthy cause tha will favor the South. So the status quo remains and the North keeps drawing everyone back. The person that deserves to be digged up and hanged once again for the world to see is that block-head called Lord Lugard who conjured up this entity. Just check out where government does not legislate on Federal character and favors the North what happens: In the Nigerian Film Industry the South Dominate and the world is better for it. In the Nigerian Music Industry the South Dominate and everyone is better for it. In our Football same thing the South and we are winning victories. Great Writers like Chinua Achebe, Wole Shoyinka, even upcoming Chimamanda Adichie etc In virtualy all spheres of human development the South is Light Years ahead of the North. If Not for the Lugard mistake of 1914 the South would be at par with the likes of South Korea while the North might love to bombing everything out of existence like Pakistan and Afganistan. G.E.Jonathan is getting it right on the economy with the likes of Okonjo Iweala,Aganga and Sanusi(wish Sanusi could keep his mouth shut most of the time though)at the helm of affairs. He has a great Agric Minister and a great Aviation Minister. Jonathan is getting it right on Power reforms. We shall certainly see a VERY REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENT on power generation and distribution under this administration soonest. The Second Niger Bridge construction will soon be started this year. The Rails are a great plus and he is still doing great along that line etc etc I keep saying this, Jonathan is not very likeable as a president as he certainly does not inspire confidence as a leader should. Jonathan might have a lot of weak points, but truth be told, Jonathan is getting CRITICAL SECTORS OF GOVERNANCE RIGHT, AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS. We have had Handsome presidents like Gowon and IBB, what did they achieve? We have had strong-willed Leaders like Obasanjo and Abacha, what did they achieve? Jonathan is making progress steadily. Let us all encourage him and give him the chance to do more. Ofcourse Jonathan has his failings. Jonathan certainly needs to do more in the area of fighting corruption as he is scoring far below average there. Contrary to what people think, Jonathan is doing great in fighting terrorism, but he can do more. HOME-GROWN TERRORISM as we are fighting is very very difficult to fight and win. Check out Afghanistan where the Russians fought and ran away, the allied forces being led by America have fought and they are planning to run away too. Check out Pakistan and Irak too. USA, UK and EU Countries where able to root out terrorism because it wasn't actualy home grown. The terrorists were majorly Arabs that came from Arab countries even if some where born there. Bottom line is that Jonathan is fighting Home-grown terrorism and He is not doing badly at all, although he can do better. The Northern born-to-rule politicians will do themselves a great favor by cutting out support for these islamic-Jihadist-killer-zombies because in the long run, it is the North that will ultimately suffer for their stupidity. Nigeria is becoming an investment destination inspite of Boko Haram. What does that imply? That means that actualy SOUTHERN NIGERIA is becoming an investment destination. That means that the South is even going to run into the jet age while the North is left behind in the dark ages still grapling with Polio and other preventable diseases that have long been eradicated in the South and the world. Let the North give Jonathan peace of mind to govern this great nation for us all so that we all shall make progress.
