Someone from the South South or South East would eventually become President; It is only a matter of time. Nobody should complain when they also decide to follow Buhari and Tinubu's template for of tribalism. |
That is why I maintain that there is something inherently wrong with the black man. They are busy shouting "I stand with Israel" or "Free Palestine" while their primitive local leaders are regressing them back to the stone-age. Even Palestine they are calling oppressed, have cheap and constant electricity and far better healthcare facilities than most parts of Africa. Blacks are not even sad that African kids still die of treatable deceases like malaria while children of their oppressors fly private jets on the public purse. |
If he understood basic finance, he should have known that nobody can pay $20m for a kidney they can get for $80,000 in the black market. |
richmond500:You guys continue to tell the same lies even when it is obvious you are saying nonsense. Did closing the border and banning imported rice make local rice any cheaper? Did the naira gain a single percent against the dollar then? China that is the manufacturing hub of planet earth spent $3.1T on imports in 2022 alone. Their total exports that same year was $3.4T . So more local production does not lead to less importation, rather it increases the demand to import because one country can't produce all the raw materials and components involved in the manufacturing process. You people that cannot point to a single successful multi-billion naira business of your own, would be giving useless economic analysis. |
LOL. Nigerians now have zero trust in their leaders. |
If we look at it sincerely, this is mostly an African phenomenon. The black man is innately cruel to his fellow blacks but is amiable and kind to folks of other races. Look at the people that brought Christianity to Africa, have you ever heard them saying that women would go to hell for wearing trousers? But all over Africa you hear churches link the wearing of trousers to "Santatic Kingdom". Because the black man would always invent means to manifest cruelty to his kind. Same with the education sector. It is only in Africa where you would find lecturers take delight in failing their students while those same students pass with flying colours when they get an education abroad in the white man's land. The same white man that brought western education to Nigeria passes them easily. |
Be very wary of new Nigerian businesses with a heavy social media presence. A majority of them are shady or outright scams. |
With APC it is always "will". This is their ninth year in control of the country and they can't say "See the positive results of our policies on security and economic growth" With the way things are turning out, I am beginning to think that Tinubu was the brain behind Buhari"s government for all those years because Nigerians are seeing no difference in the direction of the country. |
This is beginning to look like some people somewhere are sabotaging the economy. Call Buhari to account for our depleted foreign reserves. |
Lol. Nigerians are the easiest people to govern. So some people actually believe that money is meant for the poor masses? |
To be sincere, I never thought anyone could be as ineffective as Buhari but Tinubu may prove me wrong if he doesn't turn things around quickly. |
Think9ja:₦350 is not feasible. ₦800-900 is more realistic. |
happney65:It baffles me how Obasanjo was able to clear Nigeria's debt and save so much in foreign reserves with relatively low oil prices. |
Here are the Naira Devaluation Rates at the Parallel Markets under different Presidents since 1999: Olusegun Obasanjo 1999 ₦90 = $1 2007 ₦125 = $1 38 Percent Devaluation in 8 Years Umaru Musa YarAdua 2007 ₦125 = $1 2010 ₦150 = $1 20 Percent Devaluation in 3 Years Goodluck Jonathan 2010 ₦150 = $1 2015 ₦220 = $1 46 Percent Devaluation in 5 Years Muhammadu Buhari 2015 ₦220 = $1 2023 ₦740 = $1 236 Percent Devaluation in 8 Years Bola Tinubu 2023 ₦740 = $1 2024 ₦1,200 = $1 98 Percent Devaluation in 8 months Yar'Adua performed best because he was President during the global economic crisis of 2008. |
People need to understand that there are tradeoffs for any major decision they make. If you value marriage and tradition, think twice before relocating to the west when you are still single. Many single Nigerian men looking for a virtuous woman to marry are also facing the same challenges abroad. |
Under PDP, I got my passport within days. I don't know why one month should be celebrated. |
Investments to Nigeria from diaspora is at an all time low. Imagine sending money to buy a house last year when dollar was ₦590. Now, that same dollar has doubled in value and is almost ₦1200. So how do you make a profit from a dollar perspective? Many Nigerians have stopped investing back in Nigeria and that would greatly affect remittances. |
Wike should cool down and lay low for a while. It appears that his boisterous bragging disposition is making him a lot of enemies in Abuja. |
I no blame them. Nigerians always hate waste and corruption till it is their turn to benefit from it. |
maasoap:That is assuming the elections are free and fair. You are forgetting that Atiku/Obi by many accounts won the 2019 elections. If coward Jonathan had known that he would cave to APC and allow an INEC chairman he appointed to work for APC, he should have never ran for reelection. |
The person that deserves all the blame is Jonathan. If he had just honoured his pledge to do one term, there is no way these group of sociopaths that derive pleasure in seeing Nigerians suffer(APC) would have gained power. |
I can't believe that is use to value the opinion of this talkative in the past. |
LikeAking:I am only stating the facts about how bad APC has damaged the Nigerian economy. I am not supporting them. |
Emefiele's tenure would have ended by june next year, if he was not removed. CBN governor position is not a monarchy so i see no sense in calling for his reinstatement. The problem with many Nigerians is that they lack the capacity for logical thinking so they embrace myths and magical thinking. Over 90 percent of our Oil revenue now goes towards servicing debts, so where exactly do you want CBN to get the Dollars to fund our imports? When Buhari was borrowing the nation into oblivion, did you think those loans were free gifts from the Neo-colonial masters? |
They are not concerned that Naira has lost over 50 percent of its value since the new president was sworn in. Bunch of selfish clowns. |
This does not apply to Nigeria because most of our exporters do not sell in Naira. The guy who exports cocoa would not reduce his dollar price because Naira is weaker. |
LOL. Na which one be briefly? The journalist na Nastradamus wey see the future? |
Prayer and spirituality are personal pursuits. It has nothing to do with nation building. Does any sane person think a country can pray it's way to greatness? |
Please let us leave this national grid alone and work on regional power generation. Lagos has enough coastline to generate all its power from hydro or wind turbines. |
