Okay but if you can adapt easily and endure you should be able to weather these difficulties as long as there is no threat to your life and well-being. One will surely feel out of place but I believe if you are law abiding and you mind your business you shouldn't have a lot of issues. Besides before going abroad or any where for that matter one must ensure that he/she has a solid plan and backup if things don't eventually work out. I am sorry to hear about your experience, are you back in Nigeria?

As long as your immigration papers are in-tact and you have no problem coping with the challenges that your new host presents, then you should be ok. Personally, I'm not against emigration (it's as old as time itself), but my argument has always been that intended immigrants should do so with sense and not blindly. Do a thorough research about the country you have in mind before making the move, to avoid stories that touch. undecided

Well I can't say because I haven't lived there but they have better infrastructures and standard of living than Nigeria. By the way how did you arrive at this conclusion? I once had a friend who was from Morocco. She sent me videos of her city and I must say that it was really nice and she said that life over there is good. Why is it the worst place on the continent if I may ask? Have you had any personal experience?

I'll try and answer that question from my experience. By and large, those places (North Africa countries) have better infrastructure than Nigeria (stable electricity, road infrastructure, architecture etc), but all that would amount to little or nothing to you as a foreigner or immigrant if they don't welcome you into their society or if you can't be gainfully employed or survive in their society. They'll use discriminatory policies and their racism to drive you to the point of frustration, sotay all those shinny infrastructure and development won't matter by the time you decide to pack your bags and leave there.

In my experience, good infrastructure we see abroad means nothing if we can't integrate and make a decent living in peace, in a foreign land. You will always feel out of place and unwanted.

You can try your luck in any other African country (both North Africa and Sub-saharan Africa), but don't expect too much because every country will present you a whole new set of challenges that might even make Nigeria appear not so bad afterall.

Any presidential aspirant that consults with Royal fathers will equally get their well-wishes and blessings, and that includes Osinbajo (if and when he decides to declare). Tinubu was just clever enough to be the first to seek their endorsement. The writer is just being unnecessarily sentimental.

Well, I salute her courage in speaking out about it, but unless she gets support from influential members of that society, not much can be achieved because she's from a minority race and demographic in that country. Racism, tribalism, and ethnocentrism can never be wiped out completely but we as humans owe it our humanity to continue to strive to create a more inclusive society.

And he wants to preside over/manage a complex and multi-ethnic country like Nigeria with such an unrefined attitude?

Politics / 2023 Presidential Convention: Why PDP May Settle For Wike, Mohammed, Others by AbijaJ: 2:56pm On Mar 14, 2022
March 14, 2022

Ahead of the Presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; there are indications that the leadership of the party is considering a quartet of Governors Nyesom Wike, Bala Mohammed, Aminu Tambuwal, Udom Emmanuel, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Rivers, Bauchi, Sokoto, Akwa Ibom and Enugu states respectively to vie for the sole ticket for the 2023 Presidential poll.

Vanguard gathered that though the various layers of leadership in the party including the National Working Committee, NWC; National Executive Committee, NEC; Board of Trustees, BoT, among others have counselled on the need for a thorough consultation before picking a Presidential candidate, the governors are gradually winning the argument to have one of them fly the party’s ticket in the 2023 poll.

Only recently, governors of the 36 states under the auspices of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, declared support for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and the PDP to pick their candidates from among the governors.

Sources within the NGF hinted recently that the state governors have reached a consensus that one of them, regardless of the party, should emerge as the next President of the country, following their insistence that state governors possess the knowledge and experience to salvage the country.

Vanguard gathered that the development is partly the reason governors are bent on controlling party structures in their respective states.

“I can tell you that the governors of the 36 states have reached a consensus that one of them should emerge as the next President of the country.

“The governors have been meeting and consulting on producing the Presidential candidates of both the APC and the PDP and the consultations have reached very advanced level. In a matter of days, the governors will make a formal declaration in this direction”, an NGF source had said.

Should the governors have their way, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius may have their ambitions threatened owing to the growing influence of sitting governors.

On the other hand, the aspiration of Wike, Emmanuel, Tambuwal, and other governors would be off to a good start, until the party takes a position on zoning.

Wike is championing a Southern Presidency, a cause that may earn him the ticket especially if he succeeds in convincing Emmanuel and Ugwuanyi to step down for him. Atiku and Tambuwal are however insisting that the race be thrown open to ensure that the most popular, regardless of ethnicity emerges to battle the APC for the soul of Nigeria.

The PDP is expected to take a position on zoning in a forth night as the clamour for power rotation gets more intense for the day.

What are danfo drivers and okada riders waiting for? This is the right time. Enough of these agberoes.
Tinubu, through Sanwo Olu wanna form a committee and make MC oluomo the committee chairman!

Hmmm, lagosians wake up.

Maybe that'll happen after you lead by example by first staging the protest in your own state. You guys and your fixation with Lagos affairs, always instigating protest and anarchy for your political ends, as if Lagos is the only state where motorpark touts engage in extortion. All your plans against the state will continue to fail.

@ Rep. Akinola Moshood Kayode....Good Job.

When you send people to Abuja to represent and look out for you, this is what you expect and this is the reason why I always admire SW folks, they are always looking out for their people and their region, they don't sit on their lazy asss and point fingers.

I feel like the SW political leadership in general are really maximizing their opportunities under this current administration, by attracting solid infrastructure to the region and initiating favourable policies that benefit the region, unlike was the case during past administrations. From the SW lawmakers to the ministers and governors from the region, they've been relatively more assertive in terms of delivery of developmenal dividends than their previous colleagues under past administrations.

Please how is Reno Omokri a pastor? Who ordained him?
He kept provoking and making offensive posts about Tinubu. How can a man be so negative? Why not promote your own candidate?

He mentioned Osibanjo’s campaign organisation as being responsible for the dirts against Tinubu. Reno is evil and a coward. Shame on him.

Even the blind will see his devious tactics…trying to pit Osibanjo against Tinubu. That cowardice. This man acts, reasons and talks like child.

He's a fake pastor. No real pastor would be engaging in slanderous and divisive rhetoric like he's fond of doing. He is more of an agent of satan than a pastor. Very useless guy he is.

Wagner has conducted covert operations across Africa and the Middle East, including in Syria, and they have most recently been on the ground in Ukraine to guide Russian tanks to the capital.

I wonder what part of Africa these mercenaries were operating in.

I pity what you'll do to yourself if Tinubu ends up becoming president in spite of your relentless obsession and anti-tinubu crusade.
