Why are you flashing OUK's picture? Is OUK asking for Tinubu's age too? You people like overreaching and overestimating your importance. Without igbo votes, Buhari was elected into office, not once but twice. Tinubu has attained his current political renown without and in spite of igbo and their hatred for his person. Nnamdi Kanu tried to hijack EndSars protest in an attempt to destroy Tinubu politically and in other ways, yet today he (Kanu) is the one locked up in a dungeon somewhere in Abuja, while the Tinubu y'all Biafrans live to hate is running for the highest office in the country. Shouldn't that be enough to tell you that una no reach?? Abeg fvck off my mention.

Guy, as a Biafran that you are, you are free to NOT vote for Tinubu if/when he runs for president, nobody will beat you. But don't flatter yourself into thinking that you or even OUK can stop his ambition. Una no reach. Y'all failed to stop Buhari in 2015 and 2019. Go and vote for your PDP and let us hear word.

Who are you that Tinubu should 'tell' you anything? Those that will vote for him know why they'll do so. You Biafrans aren't a part of that demographic so he does not owe you any explanation. I still wonder why it is mostly Biafra agitators that express the deepest hatred for Tinubu, as if he's the one preventing Biafra from coming. Una go dey alright.

There's nothing like 'love at first sight'. The only kind love wey sure pass na the kind one wey mama dey get for pikin. But even that one sef dey fail at times. Love between man and woman is always conditional, meaning it can stop or end depending on the conduct of either of the parties involved.

Crime / Re: How meth Is Destroying And Killing South Eastern Youths by AbijaJ: 7:31am On Nov 24, 2021
Origin of meth

In March 2019, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, discovered a residential building that turned into a drug factory at No 1 Zion Avenue, Phase 6, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu, where Methamphetamine (meth) was being produced in commercial quantities for export to overseas, particularly to South Africa. Three factory workers were arrested, but the main drug baron, whose name was given as Christian Chibuzor, was not arrested since he had fled the country.

Earlier than the Trans-Ekulu discovery, a similar factory was discovered in Ozalla, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

I hope ipob can now blame the right people for bringing MpuruMmiri to igboland, instead of blaming Northerners. Na for there in SE dem dey 'cook' the drug. Unfortunately, some 'sharp' igbos decided to start selling to their own people.

Mama should calm down and eschew bitterness. She's too old for this. In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies. Many that left Tinubu due to political differences are back in his political fold today. I'm talking of the likes of Musiliu Obanikoro, Femi Pedro, Muiz Banire, etc. Even others that were once his fierce opponents/critics are today part of his biggest praise singers; I'm talking of the likes of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye (SWAGA coordinator), former minister of works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, etc. So mama should be calming down. She's too old for all these.

Dsalvo:

That's the main problem right there. They want a change of that status quo in their favour.

Covetous Igbos want more stakes in Lagos politics and have even bragged they will produce a future Governor of Lagos.

We all know when Igbos want something they are ready to be underhand, divisive and ever willing to play dirty.

Unfortunately for them, they will never be smart, mature or analytically clever enough to be a political match for Yorubas let alone better us.

I salute your political insight. The bolded right there is their basis for hating Tinubu, because even though his tenure and those of his successors have been fair to igbos (even more than other ethnic groups in the state) in Lagos, those administrations are unmistakably Pro-Yoruba. Igbos want a Lagos that would lose its yoruba ethnic identity, so they can further push their 'nomansland' narrative.

And for that to happen they would like to play a central role in electing a Yoruba stooge as governor, one whom they can influence/control through blackmail and promise of bulk votes into giving them the political leverage that has so far eluded them in Lagos. Such a Yoruba governor would in return put their interests above other groups in the state, and likely pave the way for one of theirs to rule the state in the future. They see the Tinubu political family as an impediment to that goal, hence igbo antagonism towards his leadership. But such behaviour towards Pro-Yoruba political leadership didn't start today. It dates back to pre-independence.

Orji kalu is in PDP ? LMAO
This shows you don't even know anything about politics

Oga your points are all assumptions has APC won election in Igbo land yes or no ?

So with your rambling you could not name one thing tinubu or osibanjo has done that Igbo politicians hasn't done ...not even one

There are 3 factions in Lagos APC and you think tinubu is in control ?

Osibanjo lost his polling unit yet he is a political havy weight ?

Go and reread my comment. I never said Orji Kalu is in PDP, but rather that his state is is under the PDP (abi Ikpeazu na APC governor). Is Abia under APC or PDP??

Comparing Tinubu and Osinbajo contribution to APC to that of your igbo politicians in APC is an insult. OUK joined APC from the PDP put of desperation and long after the party came into being. He couldn't even muster the political strength to successfully vie for the Senate Presidency. As for Okorocha, everyone knows he's been kicked to the curb by the party in Imo state.

And all that talk about APC factions is just you grasping at straws. Everyone knows the SE has a factory-fitted hostile attitude towards the APC. Ou can deny that all you want, na yuour business. Osinbajo is from Ogun state, whose governor is under the APC. Ditto Tinubu's Lagos. Any faction outside of Tinubu/Governor's are jesters, populated by spent politicians with no real electoral value.

I don't understand ? Oya name one think tinubu and osibanjo has done towards declaring that kalu hasn't done it rochas ?

Oya name one

Well, for starters, Orji Kalu's state is currently under the PDP, which puts a big question mark on his acceptability in his own state. Rochas has lost control of the APC machinery/structure in his home state and is at loggerheads with the seating governor, which suggests that even the Imo state APC delegates may not even vote for him during the party primaries. The thing is, Igbos just hate the APC, simple. Even Uzodima ('supreme court governor') does not enjoy any legitimacy on account of his being a member of the APC. If Peter Obi joins APC tomorrow, they'll automatically start hating him as well. Igbo hatred for APC is factory-fitted. It comes by default.

when he became president ? How about jonathan or even yaradua ?

So which of those ex presidents has more appeal than kalu before being president ?

Igbos won't vote APC but kalu won senator election by land slide

Say it with your full chest one Nigeria igbos are fooling themselves

Nobody owes igbos anything. They should come out and compete like everybody else. If they want the Presidency they should vie for it like everyone else. Even Yahaya Bello who stands little chance is making some noise, yet igbos want to be gifted the Presidency on a platter. In your dreams. Besides, with the ongoing ipob carnage in the SE, there'll likely be no election there since the secessionists have the whole region by the jugular. No right thinking party would consider giving its ticket to such a volatile region.

The igbo politicians that would have stood half a chance were demonized for not being in their darling PDP (I speak of the likes of Rochas Okorocha and OUK). They have been so demarketed and insulted (e.g they're called derogatory names like 'okoroawusa', Fulani slaves, saboteurs, efulefu, etc) for being in the ruling party, so much so that even the APC wouldn't risk the thought of giving them the ticket because a Fulani PDP candidate would likely defeat them at the polls in their own region.

Unfortunately, the igbo PDP politicians that they love (e.g Saint Peter Obi) aren't fairing any better, as they're either too clannish, give tacit support to Ipob, are political lightweights, or lack the national appeal that could have been leveraged to successfully stake a claim for the ticket under the party platform.

Family / Re: My Wife Is Always Sad Whenever I Send Money To My Family by AbijaJ: 11:47am On Oct 28, 2021
officialmario:
Dear Nairalanders

There is this issue that is bothering my mind, I have promise to be faithful to my wife and always let her know whatever comes in for me.
But the problem is that I always tell her how money is spent, and whenever I present list for whatever we buy and all other expenses, but each time she sees anything like I sent 10k to my mother, she always pick up fight with me, and I have not been biased, I send money to her mother too.

I don't know why she is acting like this, and It doesn't make me a happy man at home.
Please I need your advice on what I can do, I don't want to hide anything from my wife.

The solution to your problem is this (I've been in your shoes so I know what I'm saying). Develop a habit of having what I would call 'ME' money (that is, money that is your own money that you can freely spend without even your wife knowing about). It can be set aside in a separate bank account that your wife has no access to. It should also be money that is part of your own financial contribution to the family. You can also encourage your wife to also have her own ME money even, for the sake of peace.

You are a man and the head of your household, which ordinarily confers on you certain privileges and right to such privacy. You must first ensure that you meet all your financial obligations to your wife and kids though; after settling all such bills, she should have no business knowing how you choose to spend your ME money. Put your foot down if you must, to assert your right to spending that ME money at your own discretion without her prying eyes. It is from such money you should be sending money to your mom. Problem solved.

I'm also happy that the Op himself is an igboman, though I am sure that won't stop dilector's zombies from calling him Afonja amongst other epithets.
