The young CEO is the face of the airline not the financier. The money is coming from investors who will also determine how everything is run. It’s a good feat though. But I won’t compare and contrast. If the CEO had a say he wouldn’t bring in ATR-72 type aircrafts knowing that Nigerians prefer jets .
On the other hand Allen Onyema is the financier and CEO of airpeace. He takes the decisions and he doesn’t repatriate funds back to any country. He invests heavily in the aviation sector and the government (state governments, federal government , legislators , aviation agencies , diplomatic circle) are beginning to recognise him for that and are now granting him some support which all the airlines (including green Africa ) are benefiting from. Allen onyema’s airline was the first to buy and register a Boeing 777 aircraft in Nigeria . Others operated the 777 before now did that on a lease arrangement. Allen onyema’s airline was the first in Africa to operate the new generation embraer 195-E2. 13 on order with 2 delivered so far. His airline is also on track to be the first in Nigeria to buy and register the 737-max . Among carriers in Nigeria Allen’s airline employs the largest number of staff and makes the most contribution to aviation agencies . In addition allennonyema is the most vocal airline operator and critic of the government . He criticised the government for years before they listened and removed VAT from domestic airline tickets and also excluded aircrafts &!aircraft spares from imports eligible for customs duty payment. All the other airlines including green Africa will benefit from this. Currently he is also lobbying the government to change its aircraft insurance policy that will give airline operators access to insurance companies globally to reduce how much they spend on insurance. He is also lobbying embraer to set up a maintenance facility in Nigeria. I don’t know if he’ll succeed with that .

Please let’s exclude tribal sentiments and identify people for who they are. Both CEO’s have and are contributing to the development of the sector but as at today I’m not sure if even Allen onyema’s enemies will want to compare his contributions to the aviation sector to that of the green Africa ceo.

Unless you wan go sa go leave for cheap area wey house rent no Dey expensive
I'm not in a safety contest. I personally feel safer in the places I live/visit/work in Nigeria than in South africa. I once worked on a project on west street in sandton and lodged at a hotel on rivonia road (about 1KM away) . I did not feel safe walking down from the office to hotel at evenings. Comparing safety between Nigeria and South Africa is vague as there are different cities and localities within both countries with its own dynamics.

My advice to everyone is just be vigilant and conscious of your environment.be it south africa, Nigeria,us or uk. Yiu think say if na 9ja u dey, dos kind boys catch u, you for go Scott free?
I feel much safer in Nigeria than in South Africa. Here I don’t have to deal with the racial issues and the kind of violence South Africa is known For. The kind of colonisation they went through is still affecting them till date with a very wide divide between the haves and the haves not. Somehow in Nigeria wealthy or upper middle income earners have a way of building some rapport with their immediate surrounding and still feel safe. As a Nigerian in South Africa there are too many things you may have to contend with particularly if you are all struggling to survive along with the locals

The main thing you should be worried about is getting into the pool and recieving an ITA, although just like someone told you earlier, work experience of atleast a year is needed.
However,if Im correct, you meant the school you taught in has stopped functioning. You can still get a reference letter from your LGI or secretariat, but be sure about this before you proceed.
Looking at the competitiveness of the pool can he/she dig through with one year of work experience ?

All Air travellers in Akwa Ibom were preferring Ibomair to Airpeace becos of that Ibomair now increase their daily flight in and out of uyo 3 times daily..
This act ofcos pushed Airpeace to abandon ship..
Dana is currently the only one weighing to the competition in uyo..
That’s wrong. Airpeace currently has 17 aircrafts out on heavy duty maintenance and as a result had to suspend some routes
PoliticsRe: Bayelsa Opens Partnership Negotiations With Ibom-Air Over Commercial Flights by abnot: 8:56pm On May 09, 2021
Ilaumoh:
Exactly my question..
Airpeace ran away becos of good competition Ibomair was giving them in Uyo..
They ran away because they are not as competent as they ought to be . In aviation mistakes are very expensive. Every member of the team have to perform there duty within strict time limits promptly. In 7 years airpeace has not figured out how to schedule their flights to depart on time (at least most times). They always blame the operating environment. While I know how harsh it is they could also try to minimise the impact of the environment on its customers instead they mess people up and blame it on the environment. They are currently experiencing shortage of aircrafts that’s why they suspended the uyo route.

Who told you? After all the magomago they did for Air Peace in Akwa Ibom.
In business you have to be serious and sincere. When bayelsa airport was opened airpeace provided the first aircraft that landed there. Why didn’t airpeace build on that and become the launch airline for bayelsa ? Airpeace launched flights to makurdi and suddenly stopped without telling anybody why. They suspended routes to Liberia, Gambia , Senegal and Sierra Leone in March 2020 due to covid. More than a year later they have not resumed flights on those routes. The Gambian government has approached ibom air for partnership. Bayelsa government has also approached ibom air. That’s how not to do business. Losing your network & customer base.

All African airlines are good. They offer similar level of service . Thus I focus on time (!duration of trip) and price . Ethiopian, rwandair and Kenyan charge 206k -220k. Airpeace is the most comfortable and charged 250k. But then the fare difference can pay for the compulsory covid test . So I suggest you choose any

But more importantly, let the management be suave enough to swim out of the obstacles which Nigeria will present to her. Let AirPeace not monopolize it too.

ITs obvious airpeace will be given a right of first refusal. Its looking like the company wants to build a hangar/MRO there. The test flights were volunteered by airpeace. It's in anticipationfor something.

Typical Nigerian, using lazy governors excuses to debate on lack of development...

Why should Akwa Ibom be begging FG for good 12 years? Is it by begging or by presenting the bill at the legislative which can be debated on? Have Akwa Ibom past senators and reps done that?

So Enugu state waiting for FG to approve state land to air peace to build aviation maintenance hub? Abi Enugu state no get state land to give Air peace?

Wondering how much of lame excuses you have been bought by uncreative Nigeria political elites.

Buhari, Osinbajo, Tinubu and the then opposition all campaigned against the removal of fuel subsidy, they are now in power 5 years + but still telling us story about subsidy removal..

Politicians would always find an excuse for their lack of performance and incompetence..

If both Enugu and Akwa Ibom really want those things and serious about it, there are ways to go about it..
An MRO can only be in an airport. Investing in a full fledged MRO at Enugu airport would have been a big mistake for airpeace. Nigerian government are known to not keep/honour agreements. Airpeace is better off investing such in a state government owned airport (Asaba or newly developed Anambra airport). The bureaucracy involved in dealing with FG can run an investor out of business.

I don’t know the pilot’s perspective but the project is ongoing and not complete. Once the runway, apron and other safety critical systems are in place an airport can be put into use while work continues on other areas. Work can continue for the next 5 years as such projects are a continuum. It’s wrong to tag it a mediocre project. A few months ago it was a bare land and now it has metamorphosed into something. In a few months time it will also be different

Thanks for your response, your reply is the main reason I am on my toes to get everything done on time. That's why I need about 500k to run the transcripts evaluations and every other thing simultaneously and hit the ground running. I can't even raise this money for now, and I don't wanna delay further. I still have a rent to pay soon. main reason for the wanting the car sale.
I will be 31 by late November and also, I have a sibling in Canada.

Concerning the build up, I'm thinking I can get an additional 1.5 to 2M within this space of time, if God makes my debtors pay me and do a gift deed to round it up.

So I want to be convinced if selling this car will be worth it. Cars are very expensive now and getting another will cost me over 3.5 million.
After going through the process of securing an ITA I have come to realize that proof of funds is the least problem for most people. Transcript evaluation, age advantage/disadvantage and language exam is the major challenge people face. Of recent the suspension of all program draws have also been a cause of concern. I suggest you focus on these to secure a crs score above 470. After ITA you'll have three months to sort out your pof. No harm in also saving/accumulating from now

So this useful idiot can one day leave office......this man operated like a tyrant, hatred of the children of the poor, let me highlight some if his wickedness

1. He stopped paying profit sharing to contract staffs, no matter how small the former chairman Mr Bisi Onasanya will make sure contract staff get credit alert, but this man just stopped it immediately he resumed office, this are contract staff earning between 65-70k

2. They advised Bisi onasanya the former chairman to approved termination list of contract staffs for new replacement, but Bisi never did till he left office, but this useful idiots signed when he assumed office, throwing over 4000 contract staff out of job,

3. This same man retired even the fulltime staffs that has few years to retire by threatening them with style,

So the office will see the end of Kazeem Adeduntan one day,
Nature should repay him according to his deeds
Lol I never payed attention to his tenure. Adesola was a very nice man. He was my neighbour and was very friendly. Knew him when he was CFO at AFC and when he joined FBN as ED/CFO. Congratulated him when he became CEO and after that he stopped responding to my texts lol . I guess the pressure of the work and power together influenced his actions. But be rest assured mr. Sola is a good man. I guess the position brought out another side of him. Between when he became CEO in 2016 and now I only saw him once

Please how is CRS score currently above 470?
CRS cut-off represents the average score needed to get an invitation to apply for permanent residence. Year 2020 and 2021 were tough because the federal government excluded outland applicants from a good number of draws. This increased the number of candidates in the pool and also increased the CRS cut-off required.

To answer your question the lowest cutoff last year (December 2020) was 468. Since then there has been no all-program draw and we are approaching may. A lot of top scorers are stuck in the pool. My guess is that if a draw happens today the CRS cut-off will be above 470 except the government decides to invite 10,000 candidates at a go.

Notwithstanding the policy changes quite often and you can also consider any of the provincial programs to boost your points.

That thing is crazy, I had some somalian homies years back in the uk who regularly chew that plant, it's like ewedu ....

whenever we hit the pub they always have 20 quid worth starched with them , they are muslims so they can't drink alcohol except for one die hard alcoholic... He walks around with a bottle of smirnoff in his jacket and a spare small bottle incase" daily routine" ... But I digress ..

The day I decided to chew that stuff .. gadammit!!!

It was snowing and freezing like crazy, so this guy's came and we're playing ludo in the house, chewing khat and speaking a shit load of somali language .. they now offered me some kinda mocking me to try it if I have the balls for it ...

I could feel the pressure mount and I decided if they can chew this leaf and still be playing ludo then .. I no fit fall my hand.

Bros I went outside with the stick of khat in my mouth chewing like a goat . It has a sweet after taste kinda like what bitter cola does .. so I say I go load one stick of benson on top .. that was when the magic started.

I had a singlet, a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt and a thick leather jacket on bros ... I pull everything inside thick snow ... Bare chested but I still dey sweat.. since that day. I begin respect somalians.

Funny thing is in somalia they sell it on the street like gworo.
It’s called khat. Very common in Somalia and Ethiopia

It has to do with peace of mind, not everything is about physical cash.
OP should specify the job in question. The banking sector in Nigeria has been captured by a set of government aided capitalists who have killed professionalism, careers and destroyed the sector. Most employees in that sector feel enslaved and resort to making such moves you’ve described.
