Pee2Jay9:You'll need to practice without paper. Everything done on the screen. Remember losing more than 4 questions in listening will bring down your CRS score to 420 |
Lesbihornest:478 is fine and you will get an ITA in the first or second FSW draw. I also turned down my first ITA but accepted the second |
BFWestAfrican:IRCC's mode of operation makes little consideration for visa applicants (both immigrant and non-immigrant category) and I'll advice that people do what they can to avoid having an expired visa/COPR. Many may mock me for this but the Nigerian Immigration E-visa(tourist, business, spousal) regime is a lot more friendly. This is march 2021 not march 2020 when covid19 shut down the world. I feel for potential immigrants who believed so much in the system, sold their belongings, quit their jobs/shut down their businesses and got stuck in the "unable to travel state". Some were even accompanied to the airport by family/friends only to be denied boarding and have since been stuck spending out of their settlement funds. In the pool many have gone the extra mile working to earn points but have been excluded from draws with some losing 5 points on their birthdays. Many have also had their applications taking more than a year. Everything blamed on Coivd. Covid only exposed the weaknesses of the system |
PoliteActivist:We are a country of millions. I don't get this kind of treatment in USA, European cities and UAE. I only get it in African cities. Immigration in these countries look at passenger profile and make judgements based on that. What business is a Software Engineer in a global Comp likely to have with residing in Tanzania as an illegal immigrant ? Or what business does a start up driver going to make a presentation to known venture capitalists have with trafficking ? Or what is the likelihood of a commissioned soldier absconding to go and work with criminals in south africa ? These are the things the europeans look at and decide whether to question further or not. They don't dumbly see you with a green passport and assume that you may be a criminal and pick on you. |
FalseProphet1:We keep telling Nigerians that irrespective of the challenges and problems with Nigeria moving to an African country may not be the best. I’ve seen first hand how these African countries hate one another . The average Tanzanian hates the Kenyan. The average Ghanaian hates the Nigerian man. Same in South Africa and many others . In 2018 I was boarding an air France flight at Accra and they singled me out of the queue for secondary search because I held a Nigerian passport. Same thing happened in Dar Es Salaam in 2020. In Nairobi in 2020 the immigration officer spent all the time going through my passport pages and asking me all sorts of questions. Told him I was in transit to New York and wanted to have lunch in Nairobi with some friends before the New York flight. He only stopped when he saw the US visa page. In Banjul where I worked briefly on a project they saw me as coming to take their job yet the remote support I offered to the team was not working due to some knowledge gap hence necessitating my travel there to work for two months. In all the average Nigerian is more hardworking and tenacious than most of these people. American and European societies are even more tolerant towards Africans despite their how Africans complain about racism |
tonyashburton:Well the amnesty program still exists and they have not come out to say their funds are missing. Buhari's government have also not come out to say amnesty money is missing. Onyema himself has said it many times that he made money from the amnesty program during yaradua's tenure and by extension jonathan's tenure. Relax and leave this thing. Its not a crime to get a government contract or IOC contract. Aviation business is not profitable. Making 5% profit is even like a miracle so if someone decides to put money in Nigerian aviation the person must be brave. If you look at the trend most investors in that sector (in Nigeria) go in for the cashflow. They buy cheap old aircrafts and float an airline. Make money from ticket sales, divert the funds then owe the MRO's, regulators and other service providers before exiting the scene. For him to be investing in new aircrafts and talking of ambitious projects in the sector should not be seen only in the negative light like you see it. His airline is largest local revenue contributor to FAAN, NCAA, AIB, NIMET, and NAMA. Even the government agencies will not want the airline to fail . On the aviation side a decent number of pilots , engineers and personnel work there. With this in mind I don't see how any government will go after him/ the business when they know that it will affect legitimate earning nigerians more than onyema himself. This may be the reason why they aren't interested in pushing him to face charges in USA. In every decision made the pros and cons need to be evaluated |
MissMa01:Either way it’s not comfortable but request for authorization letter and travel. |
lumley:If you can travel down there for one or two weeks . IRCC are very slow and if you allow the COPR to expire you could find yourself waiting endlessly |
Blurpy:Return is 250k. One way is slightly cheaper . |
Layohrt:SINp has too many documentation requirements and stricter policies on work experience , proof of funds , field of study/work and successful migrants will be required to stay in Regina for 3 years . |
KikiJennifer7:Click on the blue question mark it will give you more details on what is required. When did you submit your application (AOR) ? |
HonAdewole90:All you'll need to do is wait for the next draw. I believe you'll get invited in the second FSW all program draw as the first will likely have a really high cut-off. While waiting begin to gather your documents (work reference letters, proof of funds and appointment for medicals among others ) |
Blurpy:Before answering your question its interesting how these countries target nigeria but never come out to admit it. I told someone early last year that the ASKY service from Lome to Johannesburg was just a creation of ethiopian to leech on the nigerian market. They are not satisfied with their daily service to addis from kano, enugu, abuja and lagos. The went to Lome to get more nigerian passengers to j'burg (asky) and new york. Barely three months after airpeace started directed service to j'burg they seem to have pulled out lol. Back to your question, based on covid guidelines and knowing how strict SA could be I'll suggest you fly on kenya airways or better still air peace if you have extra 50k to spare. The kenya airways flight isnt as comfortable as the airpeace flight. Kenya airways uses E190 now on the lagos nairobi route which has got tight seats , no flight entertainment , transit time in nairobi, less leg room, noisy although its cheaper (200k). On the other hand airpeace gets you to j'burg in 5 hours and they use the 777 (bigger seats, flight entertainment, better meals) though cost about 250k. |
Kaycherry:You only need your actual scores , test date , result date and TRF number for IeLTs. For WES you need the Wes number that ends with IMM |
krumking:how do you go about the flight reservation ? Most reservations expire in 2 days |
nowhere:When was his AOR ? |
Hello Team, please what is the average processing time for visit visa these days ? Also how can I book a ticket to meet their requirements ? |
Jenolyfavour:What could be pushing up the volume at this time of no ITA’s and travel restrictions |
gallivant:May be you should have advised the poster to at least read more. Nigerian aviation is an infant compared to that of Kenya. From the infrastructure , to airlines, to partnerships , engineering/MRO and many more. Nigerian airlines are very weak and would not be able to compete if FG opens the domestic market to other African carriers. Air peace is trying but they have many issues they need to change /sort out. Some of these include the need for a fleet modernisation program, localisation of trainings/MRO program and a move away from the one man structure to a more institution-like structure. |
What's the cost of replacing a surfacr pro 3 screen ? |
Danielomisco:I don’t know of Estonia and Lithuania but Iceland is a very expensive country. Also it’s not about money alone you’ll need a valid immigration status otherwise you’ll be moving to another tough situation |
ogunlowoluseun:There have been no ITA for Outland profile owners this year (2021) thus I’m guessing that thousands of profiles that should have received an invitation are waiting in the pool which will keep the scores high (above 470) until frequent draws are conducted |
Rhuth:NGN27,000 |
Rhuth:If time is not on your side re-register and write the exam again. Which component did you seek remark for ? |
Aduraaola:Its at their discretion but you can try again. Qlife seems to have suspended slot swap. Otherwise write an email to them and ensure they respond to the email. scan the response and submit as additional information to support your letter of explanation for delayed medical. When you eventually get the medicals done you can submit |
babakb:A 36 year old will need about one year to gain admission and another 4 years to complete his studies . citizenship and passport is not the major problem of a 41 year old. It’s more of less what people in there 20s or early 30s talk about . |
Ngorbungor:They are all in the same category as far as I’m concerned . Of all the six states (yobe, Ekiti , bayelsa , zamfara , ebonyi and nasarawa) created by Sani abacha in 1996 none have thrived economically. They all depend on oxygen from the federal government. An airport in ebonyi will also depend on oxygen from FAAN port harcourt , FAAN Lagos or FAAN Abuja. Ebonyi is not in any way ahead of bayelsa economically. Based on NBS data on IGR from these 6 states ebonyi performed better than only Gombe and yobe state. |
Ikennamurphy:As at today no airport in south east generates enough money to cater for the operational expenses of its airports . FAAN gets from the surplus of the other three airports to make up for the deficit of Enugu. Same with owerri. The data is out there for all to see. Igbos travelling a lot has not translated to high revenue or traffic in both owerri and Enugu airports. The infrastructure in both airports are not top notch |
Ikennamurphy:FG is broke cannot carry everything . FAAN makes profit from only three airports (Lagos , abuja and port harcourt). The surplus from these airports is what is used to fund other airports under FAAN. This is one of the reasons civil servants in FAAN are fighting the minister Sirika because he wants to concession the terminal buildings in these three airports along with Kano. Once that happens they will no longer get free money from lagos, abuja and port harcourt airports and they have not been able to make any of these airports viable. Nigeria suffers from its greedy citizens who pressure their governors into embarking in some unsustainable projects. Within the south east every state wants to have its airport as opposed to adopting that of enugu as the gateway airport to the southeast. Why spend billions on an airport that will only see one or two aircrafts land daily ? The bayelsa government did the same thing spending billions on an airport project. Till today there is no commercial flight operation there. |
duni04:In the event that you don’t know, civil service is almost the same everywhere . In USA , Scotland , Ethiopia they are all the same in terms of poor communication, delays , lack of proactiveness and all. Regarding Canada EE I’ll tell you a bit about my experience. After being so reluctant and procrastinating the language exam , I took the exams and created a profile with dummy scores of 6,6,6,6 knowing that I wouldn’t get an ITA in the draws of august 2020. Got my ielts result and waited two weeks to update my profile because I wanted to get the TRF. This placed me on a CRS score of 481. When ITA came on October 14 I turned it down against the advice of about two contributors here. I just felt I wasn’t ready to get FBI doc and U.K. PCC under 60 days. I was told it was now 90 days but online i read comments about it being 60 days and 90 days just for medicals . I told myself I’ll accept that of October 30th and turned it down. October 28th 2020 came and there was no draw lol. A few days later ( November 3rd ) was my birthday but wasn’t worried because 481 gave me enough margin. However heard rumours of +50 points for french proficient profiles with worries that 481 ( now 476 after birthday ) will not be competitive enough. A draw happened two days after my birthday with cutoff of 478. I did not qualify and it occurred to me that I was careless . Nevertheless a draw followed on November 18 where I got ITA. My conclusion from this was that policy changes will continue to happen and each time there’s a policy change it will favour some and not favour some. The +50 for bilinguals favoured bilinguals but didn’t favour non-bilinguals. The CEC only draws have favoured many inland candidates who have had sleepless nights over their immigration status . We don’t know what will happen in the next few weeks and months . Nevertheless, improving scores will place candidates in a better position to receive an ITA when The next all program draw takes place |
Yawndee:Some people have used a part of it (25%) but if you can show all your pof in one account |
Mmamaroon:You’ve said it all. Most CECs are already in Canada on some kind of permit or temporary status. Open FSW today and the scores will be high thus better to focus on maxing scores |
