Create an account on the site. Then login with your account credentials before starting the practice . Preferably use google chrome .

Lastly if it’s within your power kindly speed up with your practice and test so you can enter the pool. Things are changing rapidly and unpredictably

French actually impacted the pool distribution.

Yes it did but it's one off. However one over time there will be a slow but gradual increase in CRS cut-off (12 - 18 months) as more people begin to learn french, take the exams and enter the pool.

I put it to you that airpeace never made any formal application to make Enugu a hub. That request started and ended on the pages of the newspapers and YouTube. They may use you all to play games but not me. Igbo leaders in pdp kicked against peter obi’snomination and only backtracked because they couldn’t do anything about it. This has nothing to do with the outcome of the votes. Airpeace has been designated into more than 6 countries by the FG but have not began operating any except Sharjah which they have stopped due to covid. Again don’t blame others for the woes of the region.

He is one of the largest property owners in lekki area of Lagos. If he loves the igbos the way you think he does he will have a huge chunk of investment in Igbo land but people like you don’t see beyond mere newspaper publication.

It was during stella oduah/chidoka’s tenure as minister and anyim’s tenure as SGF that airpeace was formed yet for over a year they could not get AOC to begin operations until a Yoruba NCAA boss took it upon himself to ensure that airpeace got what it needed. Why didn’t the stella/ chidoka facilitate it ? Why didn’t they give the company land at Enugu airport ? The runway reconstruction was started and completed during sirika’s tenure.
I can go on and on. You can also continue expressing anger and aggression at my comment but it doesn’t change the facts on ground. Igbos are the biggest investors outside the southeast and if things were all good and rosy in the south east Allen Onyema and other igbos will have their major investments there. Don’t blame others for your woes rather look inwards for solutions to your problems

I dont agree with you. Airpeace bought its first set of 5 ERJ145 in 2017. Where was ibom air then ? Airpeace has made a lot of investments in aircraft acquisition but they need to also build a better company structure managed by aviation professionals and they'll do better

Your brother Allen Onyema is playing games with his apologists which is working to his advantage. The entire south east is not united. They don't speak with one voice. Regarding aviation Allen Onyema is a major investor but the people of south east have different plans regarding aviation. Enugu wants it's airport to be the gate way to the south east. Anambra is building an airport which is meant to be the biggest in the region. Owerri has an airport. Ebonyi is also talking of building an airport. Recently someone attacked me and said "whether you like it or not enugu will become the biggest hub and main hub for allen onyema".
Truth is that Allen Onyema wants to serve the igbo people but his business has to survive to be able to serve his people. With the current dynamics of aviation in Nigeria today Lagos and abuja seems to offer a stronger base for his business than enugu. In the future things will change and he can setup another hub in enugu. Nobody is stopping him from setting up a base in Enugu contrary to the belief out there. He is just waiting for the right timing.
On the other hand he is battling aeropilitics and is more interested in being able to navigate the murdy waters of aviation politics which has killed many airlines.This government isnt as eager to develop the enugu airport as it did with the that of abuja. The igbo leaders made of jest of themselves showing so much gratitude for a runway that was constructed in one year. Allen Onyema is making some gains from the government and wont be too keen on canvassing for better FG intervention at the enugu airport. He will rather focus on the anambra airport project where he will be able to get better government support

Yes but last week those who had french result with CLB7 or higher in addition to IELTS got additional 20 points. That explains why your score is higher

If you want to communicate do so In a universal language otherwise let it be. My submission was meant to encourage everyone of us to continue to play by the rules. Gift deed is a genuine means of meetin the POF requirements but if there is a substantial reason for immigration authorities to begin to suspect some level of misrepresentation in the use of gift deeds as POF they can decide to get more stringent on applications from here (Nigeria) which will make it more difficult for a good number of us . Aside from 9/11, one of the reasons the US immigration system got harsher towards Nigerians compared to Kenyans and south Africans was due to the high number of overstay and status change they recorded over a period of time. My word here is not law and only a contribution.

Lol some of our nigerian people always in one complicated issue or the other. My first job in Nigeria started in March 2015 (on contract) and one day off every week for the NYSC CDS. Completed NYSC in October/November 2015 and began a full time position at the same organization immediately till August 2016. Moved to another organization for a similar role in November 2016 and by November 2018 I had attained the required three year experience. However, I didn't want to submit work references from two organizations with two different NOCs (2173 and 2174) and start writing LOEs. Thus I waited another year and got a reference letter from one organization after working 3 years and 4 months.

I believe in making things easy for myself and whoever is reviewing my application. Same way I went to the US consulate in 2017 for a visa interview and saw some of my fellow Nigerians dolling out complicated stories to the VO. Watch out for Gift deeds as they'll soon start denying applications where a gift deed accounts for a substantial percentage of the POF

My AOR was 14th December 2019 and I have basically waited for almost one year for a decision to be made. In between, I have order 2 GCMS notes, ordered the 3rd last week and I was just waiting for a response when this morning I got the procedural fairness letter.

What was highlighted is below;

Specifically, In your current application you declared that you had worked as Territory Pre-Sales Manager for company A Ltd from February 2016 to August 2017. You also provided a Confirmation of Employment Letter from the Human Capital Manager of Coy A, dated August 06 2019, which indicated that you had worked Territory Pre-Sales Manager Coy A Nigeria Ltd from February 2016 to August 2017.

However, in your temporary resident visa applications, S******* (submitted August 01, 2016) and S******(submitted March 09, 2017), you indicated that you were employed during that same period as a Procurement Officer for company B from February 2016. Given these discrepancies, I am concerned that you have not provided a truthful description of your employment activities between 2016 and 2017.

Permit me to give a little background to my work life;

I finished my masters from the United Kingdom and returned to Nigeria in 2015 December. My family owns an educational institution in Nigeria where I started some small time employment as a procurement officer by February 2016. Also, before I returned from the United Kingdom, I had started an interview process with another company as a Territory Sales Manager.

By January 2016, I was just concluding with Coy A and had my last interview that January. By February, I was offered an employment on probation for 6 months. However, I also decided to hone my skills in procurement with the family owned education institution in February. The job of a procurement officer was to sieve through quotations sent in by suppliers and pass on to the manager my recommendations. This was done mostly through emails as I had already started working with coy A. So it wasn't that tasking and really no one was expecting much from me, it was an experience for myself and to keep my brain active.

I applied to Canada to do an MBA in August 2016 and while filling my application, under work experience, I filled the procurement officer which I was doing at the educational institution. This is because when I asked for a reference letter from coy A, I was turned down as I had not completed my probation period. Besides, I needed just one reference letter and it was easier to get the letter from the educational institution being family owned than from Coy A. Please note, by this time, I had gathered experience in both procurement and Sales.

I stopped working for the educational institution by 2017 to focus fully on my sales career, especially as I had started thriving and receiving awards from there, I was also confirmed after the probationary period and had decided on focusing fully on my sales career. I reapplied for the study visa in March but did not change the work experience. I was denied based on POF.

FF to 2019, while filling my express entry profile, I claimed points for the territory sales manager from 2016 to 2017 as this is the NOC which I have over 3 years works experience. IRCC has sent an email to coy A and have also gotten a response. However, they have sent a procedural fairness letter citing possible misrepresentation of my work experience during that period. I have the offer letter from coy A, email correspondence before I got the job, when I started. I can request for the email turning down the reference letter request I made for reference to school, I have letters from when I was congratulated for a job well done, I have my signed letter of acceptance of the offer etc.

I need advise on if these can be presented as I have heard that a procedural fairness letter almost always precedes a refusal even after all evidence is submitted. I have been on this process for over a year and a lot of funds have gone into this.

I did raise a letter of explanation 1st week of October after seeing the update from the visa officer on my last GCMS note. Not sure if this got to them. My head is all done in at this point because of the time I have spent and the funds which have gone in. And it is sad that all the research I have done, I have not seen a positive after this PFL.

I think the biggest mistake was not including the family institution I worked in personal history, so it seems conflicting or like I was deliberately hiding something. I have contacted immigration lawyers but the rates for consultation only are pressing my neck.

I don't mind being bashed, but I really will like to have objective responses please.

Sometimes we make things difficult for both ourselves and the immigration officials. One story today and another story tomorrow. If you were not formally working at the family business there would have been no need to use that to secure
an MBA admission or study visa. Now it has come to hunt you. You can write a letter of explanation and allow the visa office use his/her discretionary powers. Always good to stand on the side of truth as data remains accessible for as long as the holder wants to keep it.

It’s relative . I opted for BC CBT because the last time I wrote a letter, paper or essay using pen/pencil was in secondary school. Doing that under exam condition was definitely going to take a hit on my writing. Secondly it’s easy to get a date for BC and results get released in 3-5 days as opposed to IDP 13 days

General training practice all the questions under an exam condition and be strict with your self marking . Also progress to the master section. I got LRWS 8.5,8.5,7.5,8 in the real test (British council computer based) . I used this site for just reading and listening . I’m sure it would have prepared me for band 8.5 in writing and speaking if I had practiced it

For those on 470 there were about 12000 people sitting on 470 in the pool on October 14, 2020. Between then and now I believe more people may have joined. If you can try to increase your score as 470 cut-off isn't like to happen this years except they increase the number of profiles on each draw

if you've worked for up to three years you can claim 481 points with your profile. But you need to claim it quickly before your 30th birthday. Get WES to verify your masters degree and get an IELTS score of LRWS 8.5,8.0,7.5,8.0 . Things are changing quickly

Please do if you can guess the report number. I missed out on the October 14 draw waiting for the TRF report from BC. Got the report on October 14 but on my way home a friend called to tell me about the draw that had just been done. I missed it by a few hours

Sorry and don't take it personal. My statement was based on the analogy that a candidate that is 29 years old with CLB 10 IELTS(maximum) , masters degree and more than three years of foreign work experience will earn a score of 481. With the new changes made a candidate with same profile but CLB7 TEF or TCF will earn a score of 535 which makes French proficiency tests much more valuable than IELTs as regards the express entry program.

It depends. There are a lot of people on 468, 469 and 470 who were hoping to get invited on wednesday. This category of people may have to wait longer.
Then there are a few between 472 and 475 who were sure that an invitation will be extended to them. This category of people will be the most affected because a one month delay in draw will likely move the cut-off from 471 to 472.

Thirdly the number of French proficient speakers in the pool with a CRS score of between 460 and 470 will be a major determinant as these applicants will receive 10 extra points which will place them in the range of 470 to 480. In 2019 there were 9450 french proficient applicants out of 213000 applicants which constituted 3.8% of the pool. Same in 2018 (3.6% of pool were french proficient). If that feat continues the number of french proficient candidates in the pool will not significantly change the cut-off score in the short term .

Lastly for bilinguals, with or without this change most bilinguals score above 470 and may have already been invited.

In summary a safe CRS in the short-term could be anything from 475 . This is just my guess based on the limited data available online

IELTS has outlived it's usefulness for canada express entry. It is now IELTS + TEF or IELTs + TCF

French is another way to boost ur score. You can start learning french if you can because no one can predict scores next year. Who knows, it might be useful.

Cheque cannot fly for POF and you cannot borrow, but you can get a gift deed. Read page 1 of this thread. It will really help you to understand this journey.

Leave POF for now. Concentrate more on acing IELTS and getting another degree or cert.
Since your NOC is B, leave other stories.

This french additional points is going to be a gamechanger but realistically I dont see that many nigerians attaining CLB 7 in french within the next one year. Most native english speakers take IELTs without preparing and attain CLB 8. To get same in TEF or TCF you may need to be a native speaker and not easy to become one in 12 months except may be you live in a french speaking country. If there are not tmany people in th epool with CLB 7 or more in TEC/TCF the next draw may still be in the low 470s but I cant say what it will be like in another 3- 6 months

Yes french looks like a tough but easier way to gain more points. Based on 2018 and 2019 reports the percentage of people in the pool with a french language test report was a paltry 4-5% but the next draw cut-off will show the short-term impact of this new policy. However in the next six months I expect to see writing IELTS and TEF as the new norm.

Take a photocopy of the data page of your passport, a passport photograph And go to Alagbon CID. At the gate say you’re off to see ASP moshood to get police report. His office is room 64, he’ll take your prints and get it done in under 20mins.

Their official Price is N7500, depending on Your bargaining power you can pay less.

I'll suggest you get a CLB 10 in IELTS (LRWS 8.5,8.5,7.5, 8.0) then prepare well for the french exam. You may need 6 or more months of consistent preparation. If it means hanging out with only french speakers the better as it will improve your listening and speaking skills. French proficiency means CLB 7 (not too sure). With that you'll get to 500 with the new CRS score guidelines. The system was alright up till now but with the new french requirement I feel like a bilingual professional in africa can also gun for expatriate jobs within the continent also.

Please when an Express Entry profile expires, and a new one is created how long before it can reflect in the pool. Just created a new one today and it’s not reflected yet. Was almost automatic last year. Please anyone with similar experience?

It should be immediate . What is your CRS score at the moment ?
