Culture / Taboo Words by Abojupupa: 11:33am On Oct 23, 2014
The African society is quite decent in conversations. Certain offensive, taboo or vulgar words are often couched in pleasant words called euphemisms, metaphors or innuendoes.

in Yoruba, the following are examles:
o n fewo 'He steals'
o lo gbonse 'He went to the toilet
ewure naa ti gun 'the goat is pregnant'
oba waja The king is dead', etc.

Do you remember similar expresions in your language?
If not, you may be unknowingly forgetting your language!
Politics / Re: Breaking Apc Currently Rigging The Ongoing E-voting Between Jonathan And Buhari by Abojupupa: 7:00pm On Oct 18, 2014
tochukwuifeduba:
Information just reaching us indicated that Apc have assembled all its rigging arsenal to infiltrate and massively rig the ongoing online voting betwwen Gen Muhammed Buhari ( Apc party) and Dr Goodluck Jonathan( PDP Party) that ought to be merely funfare.

According to our source , Apc have allocated 100 million naira so far to rig the e-voting ongoing with a view to embarrass the Presidency and use such vote for personal political references.

The rigging mechanism employed by Apc through their paid media attack dogs is to purchase thousands of mobile phone from the market, their paid media warror merely swap sim card in those phones and use it to vote for Buhari making it impossible for the computer gadget to dictate the ip address use in voting.

Each Apc paid social media agent is given atleast 500 mobile phone with different Ip address .

All Nigerians please arise let us stand together against this ongoing monumental rigging or a mere internet farce election for the sake of transparency , credibility and better tommorow

Misunderstandings often occur in relationships. In this process, who is more tolerant of the other? Who sacrifices more to keep the relationship going?

Islam for Muslims / Re: Marrying A Non-Muslim! by Abojupupa: 12:10pm On Dec 20, 2013
It is not forbidden for a Muslim man to marry a non-muslim woman, but experience has shown that non-muslim women who marry Muslim men often weaken them spiritually and then convert them away from Islam. They also ensure that the children follow suit. It is only a strong Muslim that can withstand the onslaught. Even then, their children are constrained to choose between the two religions.
Islam frowns on pre-marital se.x, but some ppl like it. Such ppl will like to sample girls especially those whose religions permit nudity and free mixing with the opposite sex.Hence, they get entangled and subsequently get married/converted from Islam.
Better to marry ppl of ur deen. This saves you a lot of hassles and prevents religious crises in the home and gives your children the opportunity to learn ur deen.

The law is an assssss. It puts petty thieves behind bars and 'arm' robbers are acquired. The coast is now clear for him to be a senator or the coast governor of his state and do what he knows how to do best. Are you asking me what that is? Are these people not asking for the wrath of the people? Time will tell.

If you can't cook for your husband, divorce him nd become a lesbo. At least both of you will share household chores.
Some people are crying they don't have husbands; when they get one, they claim equality with him! Eventually they get divorced.

Romance / Re: I'm 24 And Still A Virgin! by Abojupupa: 10:36am On Dec 11, 2013
Virgins do exist, but because of waywardness of many youngsters, people feel that there cannot be any more virgins especially among girls.
it becomes difficult to believe that a girl is a virgin if a she is beautiful, is an extrovert, and is very playful.
It's good to be a virgin. Some people that have been deflowered still regret it. So, if you are a virgin, congratulations. It means you have self discipline.

Fighting a just cause is fair. Their asking for salary for months they did not work makes them greedy lots.

What is the compensation.for the students that have lost 4months of their lives? They should answer that first.

What measures do they have in place to.protect females students from.the devil's incarnates and extra randy ones among them. What will they do about the dullards among them that are busy extorting students over marks and handouts that are online copy and paste and print handouts. They should give accountability of what they have been given before. No matter how little, which meaningful research have they come up.with I'm the last ten years
We are not asking them for Yale or Harvard or Cambridge or oxford kind of research. We are asking them for the one that is commensurate to the allocation they were given.

Nitel staff over did and now they are irrelevant, phcn staff thought they were untouchable, they are irrelevant now. One day, ASUU will become irrelevant too.

Asking for salaries for months they were gallivanting to private universities and sleeping at home is criminal and no sane govt should agree to that. If it is a patriotic strike, every one must pay a price.

The govt should pay the price by fulfilling their part of the agreement, the students have already paid their price by losing time and time value of time and the effect in the nearest and foreseeable future, lecturers too should paid the price by not being paid for the 5mths.

Shikena.

If the govt had done its job at the right time, the strike would not have occurred in the first place. It beats my imagination why govt would wait for a union to go on strike before they do what they are elected to do.
Again, teaching is not the only thing lecturers do in universities. They conduct research and are involved in administration. So, they deserve their pay.
And for students who lost money due to rents, their compensation is the promised 100billion, which, for months now, govt has not released. And ASUU insists that this must be done before they resume. Notice that this is one of the so_called new demands. The year is running to an end, govt is yet to release money for 2013.
And on the vices by university lecturers, I believe there are disciplinary measures in each university. Uniben just sacked some lecturers recently.
Then when ppl ask, how previous allocations were spent, I think the questions should go to vcs. The money is released to them, not to ASUU.
Politics / Re: FG Directs Federal Universities To Re-Open Immediately by Abojupupa: 9:16pm On Nov 28, 2013
We should not be sentimental about issues. If we look at this case dispassionately, We'll realize that ASUU is fighting a just cause.
Govt refused to honour an agreement it signed with ASUU and ASUU went on strike.
To punish ASUU and force it to end the strike, govt stopped its members' salaries.
When ASUU did not budge, govt reopened negotiation with it.
Once beaten, twice shy. ASUU had been fooled once. It does not want to be fooled again. So it insists govt must sign the new document appropriately.
If govt finally reached an agreement with ASUU, it means that govt realized that ASUU had good points all this while. Govt should pay them their salary and stop prolonging the strike.
If the threat of sack fails, it will be a shame on govt. If it succeeds, the students will suffer more. ASUU'S morale will be low; not many vacant posts can be filled immediately. It takes so much resources to training a phd, not to talk of a professor.

Health / Re: Is Excessive Sexual Intercourse Prevent Pregnancy? by Abojupupa: 5:56pm On Nov 24, 2013
You should nt make love everyday; I think twice or thrice a week shld be enuff. This is to allow sperm to be produced and mature before each meeting.
In addition, watch out for your fertile period in each month. If you can correctly predict your fertile period, stop making love after it and watch whether ur period has ceased.
Finally, don't be anxious, don't put any burden on your heart. All will be well. If this fails, please see your doctor.
