This is the doctrine that the catholic church have preached for all it's over 2000yrs history and will continue to preach. It's proclaimed on the infallibility of the holy spirit through previous popes and therefore cannot changed cos God does not change. It pains me that most africans don't even know what they are facing from the west.

Remember, that was the major sin of Sodom and Gormorah. Have you ever wondered the origin of the word sodomy? The truth is that homosexuality is as bad as any other sin. Those that commit sins ask God for forgiveness and if they pray and make effort to abstain from those sins, help will always come from God. THE PROBLEM WITH GAY MOVEMENT IS THAT THEY BELIEVE IT IS NORMAL AND THAT THE SOCIETY AND THE CHURCH SHOULD ACCEPT THEM AND GIVE THEM LEGAL BACKING. They do not pray for forgiveness. Condemning their deeds is not judging them but restating the stand of the Bible. We only remember where Christ said we should not judge but forget he also said we should judge with right judgement. The church should work towards turning them back to God and not accepting them the way they are. Whatever may be the sin, be it homosexuality or adultery, if the sinner does not accept that he is on the wrong path and retrace his steps, he has no part in Christ.

This whole argument started when some western media started interpreting it to mean that he will be more accomodating of gays than earlier popes.many catholic experts have already posted articles online to clear the air on the issue. What nigerians don't know is that most western media houses and governments support gay rights and are actively promoting it. We also fail to realise that news and propaganda are the just different sides of the same coin. I have read this article in 3 different websites and it's only the earlier article on yahoo news that make it seem as if he was more open on gay rights. They just quoted him disjointedly in a few places and then filled the long article with their own words and numerous pro gay group interviews. This was exactly the same tactics used against the nigerian government during the abacha days.they are slowly poisoning ppl mind to unconsciously accept gay as normal(social engineering).the catechism of the catholic church strongly rejects gayness and not even the pope can change that.

bros,the catholic church teaches that gays are troubled ppl who need help and that is the truth. A man is supposed to have sexual feelings for a woman not his fellow men. So gays need psychological and moral help and reintragation into the society not violence and condemnation. But when a gay is proud of his sins and lobby for it to be recognised as his right, then he needs a jail term on top of the forced psychological help.the truth is that many ppl need psychological help but the pentecostal / evangelical would rather call it a spiritual attack. I still remember a pentecostal copper that is now mad cos her church members would rather call a pastor to pray for her rather than forcing her take the medication given to her at the local FMC. The truth is that even many thieves,liars,rapists etc need psychological help and moral support from their local churches not condemnation or deliverance from any evil spirit. It's interesting on how the western media never reports gay supporting churches in bad light but always exaggerates anything negative that can be linked to catholic ministers. The truth is that the west supports gays and abortion and the more some ppl tries to drag the catholic church into this mud, the more the agenda of the western media is succeeding. It's only a question of time before western governments start making acceptance of gay rights as a condition for receiving economic aid, then we will not only see what we did to ourselves out of blind hatred but we will also know which churches will accept gay rights. I have no doubt that it's the same churches that accepted it in the west that will accept it here.Time will tell.

In the issue with the woman that was caught with adultery, all party involved agreed that she was caught in sin, but he said he who has no sin let him cast the first stone..... And if you ready till the end ,I think I read something like " your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more"

This story can not be a replica of that in any way should not be brought in at all. Any one who can not repent has condemned and judged himself. There is enough room for repentance for him that is ready to change, not for you to remain in sin and expect grace to abound.......God Forbid.

please, what is the official teaching of the catholic church concerning gay activities? Is there any church in the world that oppose gay rights as much as the catholic church? The churches that officially accept gay rights, are they not protestants? The pope said and i quote "to have the tendency is not the problem... If you have the tendency but have goodwill and seek the face of God, who am i to condemn them? The church and society should accept and help them.but the problem is the lobby, when u have the tendency and lobby it (as a right), that is where the problem is" those were his exact words so how is that against the teachings of christ? Did christ condemn any sinner during his time on earth? Did he not eat and drank with them while the holier than thou jews condemn them? The truth is that dull students right from secondary school are herded into arts and humanities cos it easier in nature(no wonder americans call it soft sciences), they eventually end up in the universities been admitted into the easiest to get departments. Such ppl also find it difficult training themselves to switch career direction after school. They eventually have to depend on who they know to secure a job that they not qualified to hold.

Since last two wks, the fulanis have been killing ppl in niger state(the state have been peacefull for sometime from them). And neither the state government nor the federal have bothered to checkmate them. They even killed the police.
