Hello, I re-submitted visitors visa for my mother inlaw today after being refused the first application last year. Out of curiosity, I decided to check the processing time on IRCC website and was shocked to see that it will take approx 634 days to process visitors visa applications from Nigera. This is scary, wondering if this time frame is accurate?

Is this tracker link for persons who have received BVL or for all applicants?

Last I checked, my Eligibility and Criminality have been passed just waiting for BVL and PPR.

No, you guys are getting this whole processing time thing wrong. The processing time tells you how long it took Canada to process people's application in past, majority of people that got BVL and PPR lately are the people whose application has been with IRCC since 2019,2020 and 2021( 2 years ago). Till all these backlog has been cleared by IRCC before the processing time will reduce. Hopefully by months end it will reduce.

Hopefully? Better to work with what you have been told so you are not caught unaware.

Processing time now 793 days.

Was it a family application.

It’s only a tourist/visitor visa to have my sibling visit from Nigeria.

I asked my MP and he responded that both have been passed waiting for final decision.

Please, any idea how long it will take now that both Eligibility and Criminality have been passed for us?

The people behind this Canadian Immigration of a thing will not make heaven. 😭

Let the agent send you the direct calculated value of the refund from the airline itself, although there maybe some deductions or government tax and others.

Hey Guys. How do you handle a situation where you were supposed to travel via QatarAirways sometime last month but you couldn’t cos of the restrictions. Now that the restriction has been lifted the agent is saying we can only get a refund of 1.2 million as opposed to over 1.7m naira we paid for five travelers?

I want a full refund or to be booked for another date. Has anyone experienced this? Pls reply asap.
