lexiconkabir: QUESTION: Is it permissible for me to try to prevent wind from coming out during Salaah or in order to stay in ablution before Salaah?
ANSWER TO THE QUESTION(by fadilatul Shaykh ibn 'Uthaymeen):
Praise be to Allaah.
It is not permissible to try to prevent wind from coming out during Salaah (prayer) or in order to stay in ablution before Salaah.
You should relieve yourself and do another ablution even if you miss the prayer in congregation, because this is a valid excuse.
The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “There is no prayer when food is ready or when one is trying to stop oneself doing either of the two things that break wudoo’ (i.e., urination and defecation).” Narrated by Muslim, 560.
From Fataawa ash-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 13. question no, (588). I used to do this a lot when I was in my teens |

Salam Alaykum brothers/sisters, I found some interesting videos on my Youtube subscription. I didn't know where to post them so I decided to open this thread. Also, I felt they could be useful every time we need answers to important issues relating to the Deen. Having a single thread makes it easier for us to find what we need. Not everyone is interested in opening too many tabs and looking for threads created by different individuals.
Proviso: Please let's try as much as possible to post replies/answers from scholars who are well grounded and are known for being on the path of the Salaf. We all don't want people to be misinformed

Omudia11: Still making zero sense. you're just pained your evil plans have been exposed. I'm not interested in making sense. It's not like you'll learn anything even If I tried to educate you since you're already blinded by bigotry Speaking of evil plans, which of them? That Rochas Okorocha is Hausa? That Northerners want to Islamize Nigeria? That SW politicians try hard to make their christian counterparts irrelevant? HOW CAN A SANE HUMAN BEING BELIEVE THESE NONSENSE? HOW? Only paranoid illiterates would believe this and sadly, you're one of them I called you a clown for asking me to keep mute on a thread you didn't create, but now I think you're a GREAT clown for thinking the OP made sense |

Demmzy15: Akhi, there was something I recently discovered. You know Persia was praised alot by the Prophet(May the Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon Him), in fact they accomplished a lot for Islam, so for the first 900years they were Ahl Sunnah but since the reign of the Safawids they were forcefully converted to Shiism. I actually thought we've lost Persians until I discovered that many of them are still clinging to Ahl Sunnah, some mountainous regions in Iran were able to fight off Safawids.
Also there are millions in Afghanistan who speak Dari, a type of Persian language, just like Oyo Yoruba dialect and Egba dialect. There millions in Tajikistan, thousands in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan. I was relieved, Alhamdullahi, we haven't lost the Persians. Brilliant! I used to think they were indigenous to just Iran alone until recently. |

Demmzy15: Wallahi that's what I've been hearing about, in fact Imam Malik respected him so much.
I was surprised to discover that other madhabs existed apart from the four! I dey tell you. I never knew until 3 years ago. You can only know some of these things listening to knowledgeable people As far as I'm concerned, the IRK curricula in Nigerian schools need to be re-designed especially the ones for SSS |

Demmzy15: Imam Al-Layth Ibn Sa'd(rahimahullah) was actually a Persian but grew up in Misr(Egypt). He was a close friend of Imam Malik(rahimahullah), there's a Madhab attributed to him but it got extinct because his students were few.
May Allaah have mercy on them! Wow! Interesting stuff! I never knew he was Persian Some scholars are of the opinion that he was more knowledgeable than Malik (rahimullah) But Allah knows best |

kettle84: From your previous post you have that thinking too.it is the SW that always think highly of themselves there by calling themselves sophisticated and most educated and all that.Nepotism, tribalism and favoritism is their hallmark while the north also have that thereby inventing QUOTA SYSTEM and FEDERAL CHARACTER when their way seems to be blocked on the grounds of merit.
Talking of love.we love our in-laws ,we don't just marry the woman we accept her place and tribe as our own.that is why I can't marry from a people I don't like.you people marry igbo women and yet seek the downfall of igbos, you speak I'll of igbos.why don't you marry yourselves as majority of our men do.We believe in ourselves and our God given abilities ,if others feel down about it then they should deal with it. You make it sound like they force your women to marry them Marriage is mutual. It's agreed by both parties. If you don't like the fact that so so so people are marrying your women, then you should speak to your women and those families to stop accepting them. It's that simple. Stop crying about it. |

Imam Al-Albaani and Imam Ibn Baz loved him so much. Ibn uthaymeen was also his student alongside Shaykh Bakr Abi Zayd. It's safe to say Imam Ash-shinqeetee was to Tafsir what Imam Al-Albaani was to Hadith.
It was said that if you recite any verse from the Qur'an, he could pick it up from there and complete it.
And as expected from a Mauritanian scholar, he was very good at poetry too. He wrote poeeeeems and not forgetting his proficiency in grammar. It was one of his students Shaykh Atiyyah Ibn Salim who compiled his Tafsir into Adwaaul Bayaan after his death.

It took Imam As shinqeetee (Rahimahullah) 11 days to memorize the whole Fathul-Bari. 24 volumes!!!! It's things like this my people see and say Ki n se oju lasan One of his sons, Mukhtar, teaches in the Prophet's Masjid. Very brilliant too. The people of Shinqeet are probably the best memorizers you can find on earth. I remember someone telling me the average Mauritanian memorizes the whole Quran before 12 May Allah make it easy for us too |

Never heard him slander the people of the sunnah. Rather he stands up for the sunnah. Astagfirullah, I think it's someone else. Sorry I mixed them up I will clear the comment asap |

I know this might sound repetitive but I will keep saying it that most of them are not here to learn. That's why I don't even waste my time. Ego and useless pride won't let them submit to the truth even when it's clearly shown to them I'm surprised this thread is still up. |
