tosin481: hello great people in the house, I have been following this thread, but this is the first time am asking question.
My study visa just got refused and am really disappointed. the reason given was;
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/section-216.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors: • Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
Submitted application on 23rd May Biometrics on 31st May Refused on 8th June
I am going for a 3 years program. My program resumes in September, 2023 i submitted evidence of my contribution as POF which is N5m I also used my in-law as a sponsor and his employment documents and pay slip was included.
Any advice on what more I could do to convince visa officer and have my visa approved.
Am in the process of re-submitting another application. I really trust God to get approval this time around. Thank you and God bless you Sorry! I think your GCMS will provide clarity on the issue(s) the VO has with your application. However, a 3 year programme will require a lot in POF and even if it is fully funded, you will need to demonstrate capacity to fund should you be unable to retain the scholarship along the line. Please get the GCMS first! |

I understand brother, no one can guarantee delivery even within 2 weeks, maybe except if It's Justin Trudeau himself ...but seeing the utter shock and disbelief being expressed by folks as if it's impossible was what got me to so react. |

DolphA: Yes, she is a student. Please had she paid up her fee before supporting your application with her statement? Did you demonstrate a positive net balance in her account? i.e netting off her expense from her balance and then showing that positive balance as a further boost for you. Or can you just help with the documents you provided? Reason I ask is we were told that it is not right for the student to show account if the whole tuition had not been paid. Meaning, it can be counter-productive if the student shows account without also explaining the liabilities and proving that a net positive difference will be further available to support the spousal application. Well, we learn everyday! |

OkukuOne: As promised, I said I will return to give my landing gist.
We arrived in Canada on June-05-2023.
Litte heads up here:
Every case is unique. We landed and went through Immigration without one question being asked. This does not mean others will not be questioned.
The family size is a spouse, and 3 kids.
Our ONLY undoing which I fought for a better bargain the next day, was that we missed our flight for our last leg because of not creating sufficient time btw arriving in Canada (Immigration checks) to departing to our final destination (home). Our time was just an hour and 20mins. No good enough. I will strongly advise you to give a 3hours window to allow immigration checks. Most times the queues are very long. Trust me, you do not want to miss your flight because it will/may destabilize you.
I missed my flight and the ONLY avaliable flight to my final destination was 8th. I was given accomodation for a night by Air Canada "Free of Charge" for 5th night. I still got to stay in Montreal from 6,7 and leave on the 8th afternoon. It was going to be a very long 72hours for me and my kids.
The next day, I left the hotel for the airport to go and try my luck. I got there and luckily for me, I saw seat for all 4 of us for 6th. I quickly asked the little angel to reschedule my flight for 6th, as I return to the hotel to bring my kids to the airport. To cut long story short, we got back to the airport and boarded the flight and the rest they said, is history.
Lessons learned have been shared. anothe learning from me from one of the front desk Air Canada ladies, was that, we have too many chiefs but few indains. This got me cracking even when I was mad. It was a case of everyone proving they know too much. what they can do to assist or learn, they prove to know it all, and by so doing make people's life miseable.
Good luck to all prospective families here. God that did ours, we perfect evey one of us application and dreams.
May Canada and Canadians be kind to us all.
We will continue to excel. Bonjour! Welcome to maple land! May you find favour here. Indeed I will advise the allowance for connecting flight from Toronto to other destinations in Canada be about 3 hrs if you are with kids (because they give priority to families with kids during the checks at the airport) and upto 5 hrs if you are an adult and not a PR. |

FocusLasers: I am not a Guru on these matters.
But I know you can send a webform of your medicals even after you have submitted your Application.
Having said that, you could state in your webform the summary of these documents for easier understanding for the officer, I think you can attach together.
Though, even if you didn't send as a webform, when the need arises, they would send a Medical Request. Thanks! |

seunpinky: What’s the best way to approach this scenario!!
A friend has gotten admission into a Canadian college. Her dad is late and she’s being sponsored by her guardian who is based in the USA.
The guardian has been responsible for her education for the past 5 years in Nigeria and has paid 70% of the Canadian tuition fees using his credit card and is willing to also drop his bank statements, notarized letter of sponsorship, employment letter etc. However, he is not willing to send the pof and balance of school fees to the student nigerian bank account due to nigeria foreign exchange issues.
What is the best way to go about the visa application to proof that he is obligated to make all the necessary funds available to her?
Asides the notarized letter of sponsorship, evidence of payment of fees from his American bank account, what other docs should he provide to help solidify the application?
@ShowYoung @macsilver @bullstriker and every other member. She can open a domiciliary account. That way the exchange rate risk is eliminated. She can then use the money to open a GIC if she chooses. The Uncle should also attach his pay slip and evidence/ source of his income. Evidence of previous payments for her education can also prove ties to her uncle and convince the VO that the funds are not just for demonstrative purposes. |

Gbenag2000: Good morning everyone,
Please I need an advice on what to do and it’s connected to a visiting visa application although I know we discuss study options here.
The application was submitted in 2021 August and got a passport request days ago. Because the initial passport applied with expires early next year, she applied for a new passport which just came out yesterday.
For sending her passport, can she send the new passport for stamping perhaps, she can get more duration or it must be the old one that was used when initially submitting the application.
Thank you Send only your new passport. The previous passport number already reflects on the current passport. Infact, they may not even allow you submit the 2 passports. |

zubizareta: Good evening all. If I am studying in a dli not eligible for pgwp( I intend to change dli to one eligible for pgwp or finish my current program and enter another program eligible for pgwp), when is the best time to apply for SOWP for my spouse and kids??
Can I apply for them now even with my current school(dli not eligible for pgwp) Here is what i think. It will be better to apply when you have enrolled for the next DLI which will enable you get PGWP because as a VO, if you apply for SOWP in a DLI that I know will not get you PGWP, I will doubt your intention, knowing that you are expected to go home after the program, so why bring in your spouse. But in a DLI which allows you get the PGWP, Having your spouse around will make sense because of the additional time you are eligible for upon applying for the PGWP. Just my thoughts o! let's wait for the gurus to weigh on it. |

UtchayPro: Good morning house. Please I have a question concerning applying for Diploma courses in a college in Canada. Diploma courses are just one year programs, and the basi requirement is a WAEC result and original WAEC certificate. For someone who already has a Bsc, do you think it makes sense to add my BSc information in the statement of purpose?
Will it be much easier to just present one's application as someone who just has a WAEC certificate, and not complicate it by adding information about higher degrees that have been obtained? Won't the VO start asking why the person is downgrading to a Diploma after getting a Bachelor's?
Also, due to the fact that the Diploma is in a different field from my BSc, will it be better to just leave out the fact that I even have any BSc degree totally? Will the VO wonder why a person who is in their late 20s for instance doesn't have any BSc degree yet (assuming I leave out that information).
In summary, I'm just looking for a way to arrange my application to increase the chances of an approval because the 1 year Diploma I applied for is so different from my first degree course and I'm quite worried because I heard that the highest reason for refusals is the fact that one is going to study something else entirely different from their initial course.
I will really appreciate tips from everyone, and if you have a personal experience of this situation, it would even be much better. If you'd prefer to contact me privately, kindly email me via teacherfrancisca2021@gmail.com and I'll take it from there. Thank you so much in advance! 😢 I believe it is okay, If the Diploma course you are going for is related to your current job. You will simply need to reflect it in your SOP as a career-boosting move and fleshen it up with all the benefits and advantages it will confer on you. |

Shadybeauty: Please when the person is done with the upfront medicals, what next? The next thing will be to submit your application. Your application cannot be approved without medical test. When the medical test is done before IRCC requests for it, it is called Upfront Medicals. The reason why some people do it before the request is that, it saves time. Once IRCC requests, you are given 30 days to get it done. But doing it before the request will save you the time it would take for you to do it and send the result. So, knowing an application can only be approved after medicals, it is only proactive of you to get it done ahead. However, it does not guarantee you PPR. It only fastens the process, if your application is adjudged okay. |

sudo1986: How many days did it take to receive ppr after your medical was updated to pass?
Mine was updated to pass since monday and nothing is showing up till this moment. They are reviewing eligibility and the other one.
Though when they requested for the medical, they also requested for the police certificate in which I uploaded and they said they are reviewing the police certificate I uploaded.
In anyway, I just want to know how many days it can take after medical status changed to pass. In my case, it was same day. Maybe the delay is because of the other items you uploaded. I am sure your PPR will drop in no time from now. Let me be the first to congratulate you. Congrats! |

Shadybeauty: Please is it advisable to go for medicals now when the person intend to submit application in July/August? Well, Upfront Medicals in June against application in July is okay. Even August is alright, but why wait till then, except if your documents are not ready yet. Another thing you can do is to book for or reschedule medical appointment against July/August and then do your application few weeks or days afterwards. Whatever works for you though. They are all fine! |

TheBTCinvestor: Bro I'm facing same problem bro and we just 1year together but luckily we have a kid. Outside eh my dick go stand kakaraka but with my wife my dick will be falling that I have to struggle to finish one round in weeks of no sex. Its crazy bro! We were having sex well b4 marriage b4 I got her pregnant. I think it's spiritual o or psychological cos I'm confused my self You and the OP have not prepared yourselves mentally for the institution called marriage. It takes discipline to focus on only your wife. Work on your mind and leave side chics alone. If you don't knack outside for long, your "thing" will stand for madam. the reason it is not now, is because you are feeding it well outside. No matter how endowed your woman is, once you start looking outside, you will always not want to feel like doing it with her. Also, we value what we do not own. The moment you "wife' her, she loses some "value" in your mind. This is partly why you see some men with very beautiful wives knacking their dirty and smelly housegirls or chasing other girls. The adventure is the spice for them. The watchword is discipline. A wise man once said, show me a beautiful wife, and i will show you a husband tired of fucking her. And this same husband will be running after scruffy-looking-girls outside o. An adage in my place says, "if you concentrate your urine on one spot, it will foam". If you don't stop "going out"...madam will not look "sweet", and like one person said earlier, in the next 5 years, it will be maybe once in 6 months una go dey knack. Discipline! Secondly, i don't think you love her enough. this is happening too early in your marriage! Maybe you married her out of pity or felt obligated to in any way. Even at that, Love is not enough to keep a marriage. You can still work on her and get her to be adventurous, make her more of what you see in those girls outside, while gradually reducing the "away matches". Diseases full outside o! |
