Johncuppa: You called us religious bigots even when we used Egyptians experience and Joseph to explain, you still went ahead. Life is truly difficult for the blind. The Joseph-Egyptian analogy (aka Joseph Effect) here is very insightful. That story wasn't just about farming, but proper management and planning - a virtue the Nigerian government has never displayed. Joseph predicted (forecasted in economic terms) a 7-year crop famine in Egypt. Realising his special gift/credential, Pharaoh quickly appointed him second-in-command in Egypt to manage the country's grains (another virtue our quota system, ronu, and electoral riggers will never have). Shortly after his appointment, man went into action, enforced aggressive savings, saved the land of Egypt, and finished his term without corruption allegation or charges. This is the way to run a country, not calling the church every 4 market days, to do what exactly? |

Bold of you to think that merely starting new farms in Nigeria will end hunger problem.
Will building more schools end illiteracy and knowledge-deficit problems? Religious institutions in Nigeria have about the same if not more Universities than the 36 states and the Federal Government combined. How has that reduced illiteracy rate? |

chidiokay: But common sense dictate, cost price should be the sole determinant of selling price
if you buy @ tinubu subsidizied price its only reasonable mentally & business wise to use that as a benchmark to sell
while those that buy at Tinubu actual market price are justified to sell at price the yields appropriate profit
now govt as cancelled it the same way they cancelled Custom subsidize rice earlier .... that serves Nigerians madness maybe Nigerians deserve the hardship sef, Nigerians deserve a working system, where majority will be able to afford basic food items, without having to wait for truck loads of grains from Abuja. Take some moment to read your post again. Why should the Nigerian Customs Service sell rice to Nigerians a few Lagos residents in the first place? Don't we have enough markets in Lagos for that purpose? Serves Nigerian madness right? SMH. In a working society, the Customs boss ought to be locked up permanently for at least 35 years in Kirikiri. People lost their lives in their bid to get a bag of rice. "People" in this context include a middle age APC women leader in Lagos. |

Apel147: If they sell the rice gotten from govt at 85k, how much would they buy from same market or even other commodities? Kobo wise, naira foolish! Na themselves them cheat, anyone buying from market lost nothing, na so them the buy since🤣 You're wrong, sir. The idea of reselling isn't necessarily profit-driven. It's a matter of priority. Imagine giving a bag of rice to a diabetic patient or a civil servant that is heavily indebted to loan sharks. They have to sell at the prevailing market price to get good value for their money when they're buying other non-subsidised items in the market. No gain, no loss. |

chidiokay: Reselling what govt already subsidizied at an higher price is criminal and wrong in all ways the fact they are meant for direct comsumption prohibit resales Such callous moves undermines the objective of subsidy to relieve hardship
Selling what you bought for 40k at 85k is criminal and a act of wickedness It would only be a wicked act if they're selling above Tilumbu's actual market price of 85k. |

phemray: Unpatriotic nigerians reason towards only self . Why should anyone sell one bag that was meant to be used by the family. Its only the people that value money than Thier life that can do that. No love for the country or each other. Everything is not about Money. They gave money to farmers by last administration to produce food massively, but after harvest the farmers sold to neighboring countries for higher cost, instead of selling to fellow Nigerian at lower cost, that's unpatriotic. How patrotric are the criminals in power? Nigerians learn from their leaders. Do you think they're not aware how your president and his family "cornered" public assets and properties n Lagos and how his family's name has consistently being mentioned in the recent Oando vs Dangote vs. Malta vs. NNPC's oil and gas subsidy scam? That being said, I believe my position on palliatives is clear enough. Rice is not the problem of the average Nigerian family. What's the purpose of distributing bags of rice every four market days to less than 0.5% of the country's population when these so called subsidised rice has never really crashed the actual market price of rice? |

Why do some Nigerians become law abiding (e.g., obeying traffic laws and regulations) when they relocate abroad?? The consequences of bad leadership and, by extension, bad systems, trickle down. Where systems work, everyone falls in line! |

There is nothing illegal or immoral about their decision to resell these bags of rice at the current market price of 85k. We should ask Tulumbu why he remains so ignorant as to think he can sell bags of rice to some Nigerians at half the market price and expect them not to resell it for profit to meet their other household needs. Shey those of us buying for 85k are d v m b abi? LMAO!
No poor, struggling Nigerian today would resell a bag of rice they bought for 40k at the same price in a market where everyone buys for 85k wen no be say they're d u m b. Will rice solve their energy, electricity, school fees, rent, and other inflationary issues??
Until Tulumbu and his arch demons in power abandon the idea of trying to solve every systemic problem in Nigeria with skewed palliatives, nothing will change. |

There is no correlation between Christianity and showbiz. Any Christian that needs a "Christian-alternative" to BBN is already a candidate and friend of the world. There are diverse Christian Ministrations and sermons running concurrently. Find one and attend. Many churches will leave their doors open today for bible study. Go there and listen to the word. |

Say you percentage and let see who is a smart investors. The guys on TB here with reinvestment of interest is doing better now. I came to this thread to catch cruise with dollar gang.My TB primary market was successful and upfront interest is going into MM.Buying dollars to hold is blind man idea of making money. It works for politicians who didn't real buy it instead stole it so he has little or no cost.Buying dollars to keep in your house is far different in investing in dollar instruments with interest yeild don't mistake the two. I don't have dollar in cash or investment anywhere, but I won't sit anywhere to discourage people who want to hold the dollar. I've lived in Nigeria for too long to bet in favour of Nigeria or the Naira. With the recent increment in Nigeria's minimum wage, you will be wasting your time to assume the dollar will exchange for a thousand naira or less. The little gain from oil whatever will be used to offset salary and budgetary demands. The remainder will be stolen by your political kleptomaniacs. |

Realtol: Alaye you're a fool. Upwork and Fiverr freelancers you're referring to determine their price by themselves. It's not the apps that determine the price for the freelancers unlike Bolt that determine prices for drivers and yet determines its own commission. With the current state of things, no driver can break even on Bolt or Uber. initial cost of car, fuel, maintenance, repair, registration, extortion from police etc will erode any little gain that you will likely make if you accept app price, accept every order given and refuse to do offline for any trip above 45k. Especially in places with poor appetite price, like Ibadan.
So shut up your stinking mouth and face reality. If Bolt increases price by 200% and allow drivers to take orders they like without any acceptance rate penalty, there will be increase in Bolt revenue as no driver will go offline again. Bolt should be reasonable and face reality. The current price is highly unreasonable and unrealistic. It doesn't reflect the current situation of Nigeria. There's hardly any week in the r past few months I don't use Bolt and no driver has asked to go offline. If you have to always make that demand to break even, then you're a thief. If bolt no favour you, Lagos and Ibadan have more than 500 public car parks, take your vehicle there and "determine" your prices. |

The Nigerian government is merely delaying the inevitable reckoning. When that day arrives, there will be no laid out plans, no announcement, and certainly no time to plan an Oro festival or take any countermeasures against a protest. The more it is delayed, the more severe it will become. All the best to the Nigerian government agencies and their "advisers." |

descarado: Hey bros, how are u guys.
I wanted to sent you this info last 2 weeks but forgot.
Have you thought about cloth diapers. As long as you have washing machine, toss them in there.
I didn't breastfeed any of my kids. This is what I did. Formula till 2 months, then formula and pap but the pap was rich in dry sea food.
By end of four months, introduction to soup(okro) and what have you by 6 months eat everything. You can puree avocado( very good oil and fat), mackerel is the best fish for kids. Omega 3 and 6. And egg. All AA is there.
Things around you that's from naija. Not necessarily all these foreign stuff. Thank you so much for the information, my sister, and God bless you immensely for all you do. Cloth diapers sound like a great idea, although right now, they already have enough to last about a year or more. Your feeding routine is really interesting—what does 'AA' in the egg you mentioned stand for? I'll definitely discuss these with their nanny. |
