PhonesRe: What's The Best Nokia Phone? by ACM10: 1:18pm On Mar 25, 2012
Dawdy: Nokia c5 is ok, it has been tested before trusted and recomended.
Nokia C5 does not have QWERTY keypads. Though it shares other features with Nokia E5. It has better picture resolution and quality than E5(though not too noticeable). But it's a zero in terms of design and elegance. So I'll still opt for Nokia E5
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Civil War - REMATCH! by ACM10: 10:24am On Mar 25, 2012
torkaka: yorubas waged wars against the dahomeans.
Cut the BS!
Which language does dahomeans speak? FYI, dahomeans are part of Yoruba confedration during the pre-colonial times. Which is a loose confedration BTW.

You slyly omitted the invasion and conquer of Ilorin by the fulanis. Typical of every Yoruba tribalist. Selective amnesia, myopia.

torkaka: in all these history where was the igbos? they simply waited hundreds of years later to routed by the nigerian army
We are a peaceful tribe.
We don't subjugate our neighbours.
We don't force our language on our neighbour.
We allow our neighbours to retain all their rights and priviledges.
Besides we don't boast of wars, we boast of peace.
That's Igbo mentality.

CyberG: Being away for a while and back, I am not particularly surprised that the rhetorics of daily political exchange, especially, along inter-tribal lines has not improved but gotten worse!
I bet you'll aggravate the already bad situation

CyberG: One bone of contention is the Civil War of 1967-1970 and it was previously established that less than 0.0001% of NLanders at that time ever saw the war or experienced it.
Mister, whenever you put up a figure, back it up with a reliable source

CyberG: Unfortunately, it appears that the rather "gracious" ending of the war of "no victor, no vanquished" is now the Achilles Heel of most young Nigerians who are very impressionable and refused to learn the facts or reflect deeply about Nigerian history.
BS!

CyberG: war is not a PS3 or XBOX game where you gain lives, or die and yet still live even when you refuse to jump or shoot or accumulate points to give you "extra life".
Stup!d analogy!
You must be following the comments from the Yoruba dimwit named dayokanu.

CyberG: The Ibos were not neutral parties to the war as the conflict of the war started way back before Nigerian Independence and when the, majorly, Ibo coup of January 1967 wiped out political leaders from every other tribe while that of the Ibos were tipped off to escape, it was obvious that a little rattle snake had been hatched! In fact certain accounts posit that the war of July 1967 started just after the coup of January 1967.
You have every right to wallow in your ignorance

CyberG: All said and done, the war ended graciously with Gowon's declaration end of the war as "no victor, no vanquished".
Really? Dude you are shitting me. Why are you manning the trenches of e-war 42 yrs after? Throw away your "no victor, no vanquished" mantra. It does not exist in practise. Surely, it does not exist in the minds of hausa/fulani elites. Their position is that we are all conquered tribes including Yoruba. Read the inflammatory articles from Sanusi to know better. Down here, read the posts from a hausa/fulani supremacist like Ndu_chuks and Nagoma to guage their opinion.

CyberG: Hitler tried to negotiate a cease fire
Source pls. My own source posits that the war on the eastern front was bitter and Hitler was prepared to take down Germany with him.

CyberG: The Russians levelled Berlin, so badly they bombed everything to oblivion - humans or non-humans.
Your penchant for hyperbole can be quite annoying. Source pls. . .

CyberG: The Russian Army raped all the German women they found and killed everything, not taking prisoners!.
Could you be kind enought to share your source with me? undecided

CyberG: The German women said, it was better to fall into the hands of the Russian rapists than to have the Americans over their heads!
Source pls. . .
My own version of history claimed that Germans fled to the western part of their country under the control of allied forces including Americans. My source further posits that allied forces treats their POW's fairly and these treatment encouraged the German forces to surrender rather than fight to death. It further opined that German civilians preferred to live under the protection of Americans than Soviets. You are fond of quoting any gutter sources that supports your bigotted your view. Reliability of your source is thrown to the wind. I await your response on this big distortion of history.

CyberG: Today, most Ibos abuse every non-Ibo who has a different point of view. They insult an entire group of people who does not support their position.
The problem with most Yoruba tribalists including you is that they are selectively hypermetropic. They see only what they want to see and blank-out others from their view. You are asserting that only Igbos are guilty of hurling insults at others. Well you have the right to your opinion but not to your facts.

ZUBY77: Nokia C3 is cheap and it does everything you wanted. I bought it a month ago and i paid as low as N16,400 for it. QWERTY buttons and more than 10 hours battery life on a continous browsing. Its cool. Save some money.
Nokia C3 is a Java phone. I will strongly recommend Nokia E5 which is a Symbian phone

ndu_chucks: It appears as if you are slower than I thought. Only a severe case of inferiority complex could make you people unable to accept defeat graciously, even after 45 years. You people exhibit this complex by your attention seeking threads and posts coupled by a constant fear and trembling of anything Northern. No make me vex o.
Make shrapnels from boko haram bomb create a deep crater on your doltish brain.

Yours is a case of refractory superiority complex. Aren't you ashamed that you are still fighting a psychological war more than four decades after your so-called battlefield victory?

Moreover, I'm not your alamajiri clutching plate undecided So don't talk down on me NIGGA! Who cares if you vex or not! NIGGA kiss the desiccated s/h/i/t at my a/r/s/e.

Your tribe is littered with millions of alamajiri thugs. Truth hurts. Take to the rope if you are seriously vexed. Who trembles at the mere mention of north? You are a pathetic dimwit.

I cited some instances to buttress my point. So I don't know how you managed to introduce the issue of civil war into the discussion. I guess you had a severe case of disorientation in time, place and event. Pls endeavour to swallow your pills and don't come here again with your BS yarns.

Marlboro1: Imo State's Action Governor Rochas Okorocha is making good his promise to build one of the best universities in the world in Ideator.
I hate it when the sensibility of casual observers like me are insulted. Imo people and by extension, Igbos were put to ridicule by his senseless use of hyperbole. Really, I expected something grand, something magnificient. Only to see a colourless project to my utter disappointment.

BTW, I'm not disputing the fact that Rochas is doing an incredibly good job in Imo with tight budget. But we should be careful and avoid any temptation to slide into overkill in our bid to hype his achievements

dayokanu: Mention one Yoruba warlord leading an army that fled warfront
Your problem is that of myopia and selective amnesia. You must always view every issue that made mention of Yoruba in a compromised manner through your bigotted lens? undecided

Well, Yorubas has not not fought any modern war alone. So there is an acute paucity of reliable historical materials to cite. But I can predict how yorobaman will behave in a war situation by studying their behaviour in peacetime. They are:

1. Ogundipe fled and was usurped by a junior officer, Gowon after the counter-coup of July 1966.

2. Adekunle abandoned Owerri after the poorly-equipped Biafran forces counterattacked to reclaim the town. This led to his replacement from the high command.

3. Abiola fled Nigeria instead of staying back to fight an oppressive Abacha regime to the dismay of other democracy activists like Nelson Mandela.

4. Many democracy activists including Tinubu, Dawodu, Soyinka fled Nigeria instead of confronting Abacha.

5. Recently, Yoruba people were unable to confront the rampaging hausa/fulani thugs deep inside their territory.

Rochas should drop his penchant for hype and concentrate on the real work. The photos of the construction works looks pathetic at this stage. But I'll give a pass as of now. I'll wait till the work is mostly complete before I tender my critique of the quality of the work. From what I saw in the photo, the whole work lacks of style and glamour

dayokanu: I agree with you, Especially in Yorubaland, when a man who is supposed to lead an army takes to his heels, He is termed a coward while in Ibo culture he is seen as a hero
Your comparison is lame. You are fond of regurgitating an old, busted crap, hoping to ram it down the throat of everybody.

What about your kakanfo(abiola - a disgrace to ancient kakanfo institution) that ran away? Wasn't he a hero in yorubaland? What of Tinubu? Wasn't he an elderstatesman in yorubaland? What of dawodu that ran away disguised as a cocoa farmer? Wasn't he a leader of thought in yorubaland?
For every Igbo that u mentions, I will cite 10 Yoruba folks that equally did the same thing or worse.

You are the dumbest tribalist that I've come across. Your replies are programmed and too automatic to provoke an objective debate.

You keep throwing the same sh1t on the wall. Hoping that it will stick.

Flavour has come a long way. From an obscure nite club entatainer in Enugu to national and international stardom. I'm really happy for him. His, is a true case of "impossibility is often untried".

I never imagined that this entertainer that plays keyboard and at times sings at Hobies, Newberries and Permadice in early 2000s will rise so fast to the top of the ladder. While some of his old friends that we presumed to be "more talented" are still struggling to find their footing in the entertainment industry. Life is full of intrigue.
