madam_oringo: I pity your son who you pathetically complained could not get enough marks to be admitted like the folks in Gombe! He wil be the chief tribalist and bigot after having the misfortune of a man like you as his father!!Attack the message not the messenger. ![]() |
Thanks Afam, but one of my recent comment is still hidden. ![]() |
speeder: liar, which yr was AK47 invented? Youngzedd: You got it wrong dear, such words are not meant to be used here.Omo, why una dey show una intellectual laziness for dis open forum? Shey una never hear about google.com? Soviet Mikhail Kalashnikov was conscripted into the Red Army in 1938 and served as a tank driver when he was injured during the Battle of Bryansk in 1941. During his time at the hospital, he began work on a firearm design specifically to fulfill the requirements to a gun competition being held for the new 7.62x41mm cartridge. Despite losing the competition, Kalashnikov - now part of a team - sought to fulfill a new Soviet Red Army need for an assault weapon chambered to fire the new 7.62x39mm M1943 cartridge. While the war ended in 1945, developments of new automatic weapons continued. The Kalashnikov design (the prototype known as the "AK-46"AK-47 donwilz: Common sense, pesin no go get. Na only to de find wahala, instead , u don fool urself. Ak47 rifles had been in use as far back as early 1940's. Don't you feel dumb now.. eh?Brother, preach on. Many people that passed through schools with quota system are showcasing their ignorance here. :- This is one reason why we should abolish quota system.[ |
When I was a kid growing in my village, Ogidi. AK47 bullets was a common sight when you are walking along the road. Many times we found rusting heavy guns in the bush. Those sights are not common nowadays. |
hahahahaha I was expecting this thread to hit the frontpage. Nairaland has been turned into a tool by the opposition to fight launch a media assault on the government. |
I know that those drunken policemen will soon make a mess of the cars. The best car for Nigerian police is pick-up van. |
Isra-el:You asked me, na who I go ask? ![]() |
BLACKPANTHER: U even price am well. Am from the North,28 barrels"ll equate the whole bags MUMU. May b ur laughing, u just dnt knw wht oil will b by the next ten years abi?Maybe it will be what groundnut is today. Make una go back to groundnut production na. Can you tell me your friend's name for me to look up the record in the school archive? |
All those bags of groundnut put together is not up to the price of hundred barrels of crude oil. |
gbanikiti: A Nigerian man who is married to a Kenyan for over 18 years is now being accused of drug dealings? why didnt they find out all these years? why not prosecute him over there in Kenya? I haven't heard of someone caught with drugs and he is deported. NEVER!! The person is made to face charges and probably go to jail. Why should Chinedu's case be different? My sister, thank you jare. It's appaling that Nigerians are blinded by bigotry. Just because Chinedu from Anambra was mentioned, many Nigerians are declaring him guilty as charged. GBAWE, I salute and respect you for approaching this issue with objectivity. Can someone tell me of any country in the world that deports drug barons? Only bigoted Nigerians will agree with Kenya's account. The issue is that they want to dispossess Chinedu of his properties and investments using false pretense. I challenge the Kenyan authorities to prove that Chinedu is indeed a drug baron in a civilian court of law. Let them jail him if he is guilty as charged. |
babyosisi: Abi oThe leaders are never in doubt. That's why retrogressive policies were put in place to checkmate their ascent. The question now is, how will the leaders free themelves from the shackles of those that are determined to pull them down? |
babyosisi: Anambra leadsDon't celebrate yet. Ahmed from Yobe that scored 4 is better off. |
Silly country with loopsided rules |
Good for her. Will put some cash in her pocket that she wont accuse Igbo Nollywood producers of tribalism when she fails to get a role in a movie. |
This is a picture of the twins which I found online.

Abagworo: Lol! I'm surprised you've not noticed a pattern here on Nairaland. I've asked why they are always doing that. Igbos need to make it a death penalty for any Igbo to talk down a fellow Igbo. Or better still the Igbos that see themselves as equal should form a new ethnic group where everyone will have deserved respect. You should be put to the firing squad for being the leader of talk-down on Anambrarians on this site. Chino, Okija juju and Nri priest will go with you for talking down on Igbos on this site. |
Another dumbass brother lamenting after his properties and investments in foreign land was seized. Igbos buying lands and investing in Abuja, Lagos and other non-eastern states should learn from this man. The same fate awaits you. Marrying the locals do not exempt you from harsh treatment when time comes. Your wife will even connive with her brothers to dispossess you of all your belongings. |
EPOMA: That shows his level of stupidittyIf the above nonsense is all you got then you need an urgent brain transplant. If you can't find a suitable human donor, use that of goat. |
texaco1: he is the one that is not respecting himself.all the fights he has been fighting how many did the fg bankrolled?there is no law that compels govt to foot this bill.if the fg isnt responding why cant he try other cooperate organistaions or multinationals?at one time he said he will be sleeping at the gate of pdp national headquaters as if he is a pensioner.he is the one bringing himself to ridicule ,maybe with this incident someone will have pity on him and bankroll the fight.but who will want to spend millions on a fight like this ?he should try state govs maybe one of them will sponsor the fightShuo!!! ![]() |
Afam4eva: I'm talking of the people based in the commercial towns of Onitsha, Nnewi and Aba and not people who are from these places. These commercial traders that i'm referring to are Igbo from all parts of Igboland, so i find it strange that you people would think i was referring to people of Anambra origin. There's no gain saying that Enugu is home to more Igbo elites than any other Igbo town, so the response in Enugu won't be as much as in the places that i mentioned previously. Other places with similar idiosyncrasies with Enugu are non-commercial towns such as Awka, Owerri, and Asaba. It's unfortunate that you subscribed to the age-old stereotype of traders being uneducated or semi-illiterate. Though some traders still falls in that category, but I can tell you that 50% of the traders in Onitsha are highly educated. My friend graduated with second class upper in electrical engineering, but today he is an Onitsha trader who travels to China to buys his goods. By the way, UNESCO defined literacy as ability to read and write. If we use UNESCO definition, then 98% of Onitsha traders should be classified as literate. Mind you that Onitsha is the powerhouse of Anambra education. Onitsha is the reason why Anambra is rated high in Nigeria. They continue to produce unbelievably brilliant students. Ask those that studied in UNN, FUTO, NAUTH, etc about the products of DenGram, CKC, St. Charles, QRC, etc. So, your comment that MASSOB is most active where there is preponderance of semi-illiterate population is regrettable. It should be that they are most active where you have more people with the burning desire for freedom from the cage called Nigeria. |
Paedophile Sanni Yerima holds the record when he paid 25 million naira for his underaged Egyptian bride. |
Afam4eva: Did these people you listed live in Onitsha? Go back and read my comment and understand it.Tell me how many intellectuals from Enugu that live in Enugu. |
Afam4eva: First of all, i don't know why you're naming people from Anambra cos i never said anything about Ndi Anambra being illiterates. I only talked about Enugu town and not it's people. Was Enugu not jointly built by all Igbos with Anambra people even being at the forefront?By implication you are referring to Onitsha people in Anambra. Cos the sit-at-home directive was well-observed in Onitsha. Stop pretending! |
Afam4eva: Enugu is always different. If there's one thing i've noticed, it is that MASSOB seems to be dominant anywhere you have a lot of pseudo-illiterate traders.I'm disappointed with this comment of yours. Seems you are prone to gaffe. Onitsha is the home of the most enlightened Igbos and indeed Nigerians. Think of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Prof. Chike Obi, Philip Emeagwali, Justice Ikpeazu, just to name few. Soon you will start wailing of Anambra superiority complex when Chino stumbles on this comment. |
End boko haram insurgency in 3 months? Jonathan must be having a malaria dream? US with all their military sophistication is unable to defeat terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan in 12 years, how could Nigeria dream of this feat in 3 months? |
![]() I called my cousin a while ago to know if there is light. With erratic and epileptic power supply in Nigeria, such call is necessary. ![]() |
Aigbofa: Nice ranting. Not long ago on this forum, I said Ironsi laid the foundation of mediocrity in Nigeria by making Nigeria a unitary state. I was abused by some Igbo here and one of them asked why subsequent administrations did not revert the system back to what it was.Stop reasoning like a goat by making unnecessary correlations. Unitary schools were established in 1979 by Obasanjo's administration. It is part of the dumb policies of men in khaki. Gen. Ironsi has nothing to do with it. I'm surprised that those in favour of true federalism which allows regions to develop at its own pace will pitch their tent with the backward policies of quota system. If this is not hypocrisy, then hypocrisy has lost its true meaning. ShyM-X:Between Jonathan and Obasanjo, who is dumber? Jonathan is well educated(by Nigerian standard), Obsanjo is poorly educated(by any standard). What makes Jonathan dumber than those that came before him? |
ShyM-X:It is very easy to come to this assumption if you spends all your life oversea and when u did not pass through Nigerian system. |
My question for the supporters of quota system is this; what is the primary aim of establishing a school? Is it to educate or to achieve unity? The idea of unity policy/federal character/quota system in all levels of the our country has been defeated. 1. In education, it produced half-baked Nigerians with paper certificates. 2. In government, it entrenched mediocrity, nepotism and magnified corruption a million fold. 3. In NYSC, it produced disillusioned Nigerians who are often target of extremist. Methinks that the idea of a unity school should be discarded and replaced with a school where students develop at their own pace. Proponents of this idea points to US Affirmative action. But US Affirmative action policy was designed for the racial complexities in US, not suitable for tribal complexities in Nigeria. Affirmative action rejects the idea of "quota". Finally, it was designed to level up the playing field and not to prop up a group that is backward by its choice. We may argue ad infinitum in favour of quota system, but the available evidence shows that it favours mediocrity, while meritocracy is sacrificed. We as Nigerians must decide if we are comfortable with mediocrity. Shall we continue with a failed experiment and expect a different result? |
