How about Delta's new transport system which has 350 airconditioned buses that have given succour to the numerous Deltans. How about the fact that Delta state now has one of the best teaching hospitals in all of Africa? How about the fact that Warri and other cities in Delta are now completely lit up 12 hours nonstop every night? How about the fact that there are hardly any potholes in all trunk A roads in the state?? How about the fact that crime has reduced drastically despite the state having by far the highest number of illegal arms in the country? How about the Warri Industrial Business Park and the Koko Free Trade Zone both of which are in progression? How about the new Asaba airport and the numerous other infrastructure projects going on in the state? Throwing up some numbers. One of the best teaching hospitals in Africa? A figment of your imagination. |
Chxta longest time. Hope this is not your clone?lol |
Asking INEC to conduct credible polls in Naija is like asking NEPA/PHCN to supply power 24/7 or the Super Eagles to win the WC. Not gonna happen in his great grand children's lifetime. |
How is Sanusi connected to this? Adenuga first lost about $150 million through CIL in the first GSM licensing auction in Naija. A good company should have secured bank guarrantee before putting in their application. HITV knew that their contract was due for renewal. Normal Naija way of doing little and hoping that miracle would happen. It's like buying an expensive designer's suit for you first day at work while you have not scaled through the final interview. Enough of these sentiments please. I would take ABC Transport over Greyhound bus to take me on lagos Abuja route and would take Delta Air over Arik Air to take me on Lagos New York route. The best performer won in this fight. Kapish!! |
Maybe God has "called" him to start his own business. Lol |
Another pointer to the fact most Naija companies are competively challenged if subjected to international standards. This sounds like Transcorp waiting to go under |
ileke l'omo joo. give me ya no, i have free calls to about 60 countries. Remember we are still talking about how a pastor scammed someone and sme peep is floating another offer of free calls. Buyer beware!! |
Nothing wrong in what she said. She said either Edo or Igbo. If she was ignorant in her statement, then you correct her and tell her which kind of tribe has such name. I think it is either edo or urhobo or an ND tribe if thats his real name. They like to put k before p. Yoruba will say Pele, they will spell it Kpele. So anyone that can validate that this is a Nigerian and not a Cameroonian please come to our aid. We are tired of this disgrace left and right. His tribe would make a difference if Ghanaians would not consider his nationality. In this regard, nationality takes precedence over his tribe. If he were caught in Naija, not likely though, he would be tried under Naija law. So the poster wanted to post a comment that would trigger a tribal e-war |
kpanako is either Igbo or Edo name. Must you associate every crime with every tribe? How did you reach that conclusion that it's igbo or edo? You should have been good at recognising tribal names, instead you chose to graduate from Sarah Palin's School of Geography where the study of geography is treated as quantum physics and ranked above rocket science. Go do your research. Enough of speculation!!! |
OBJ's right hand man in action: partner in politricking, polistealing, and ranting. They only love Naija customs and traditions when they are beneficiaries of such practices, but forget about them when they want to collude to exploit people. I came in contact with this man when he fiercely defended WARP-West African Rubber Plastics- owned by by Asians in Lagos for locking in their Naija slave workers inside the manufacturing presimess when it caught fire and killed a lot Naija whom he called hoodlums in 2002. Company owners did not want workers to go on break while still on their shift. |
Another empty promises. If OBJ could send soldier to Odi to deal with villagers and send high powered soldiers to deal MEND and later resolved to make peace with MEND and CO, why is it hard for Jonathan to make nice with power workers or disband. ? If NEPA would be fixed, there would be no other avenue to steal billions of $$ every year. Chop make I chop = NEPA/PHCN |
is this supported by mutation, natural selection and law of independent assortment? |
That is the problem with Nigeria. Always looking for govt to help them develop their invention. Before you know it now, the Chinese and Europeans will steal their invention and put it in commercial form without TELLING their govt. What happened to sourcing for fund to foster your invention and protect your intellectual properties U got it wrong ma friend. Inventors in China , US and US always need money to push their ideas into a manufacturing phase, but the difference is that the inventors in the west get funded by venture capitals. From Google to Facebook, they all got money from venture capitals, but in Naija where venture capitals are virtually non-existent, most folks look for govt help. Naija's business culture is always in romance with govt. Could likes of Dangote, Otedola, Jimoh Ibrahim etc exist today without government favour? No |
He was/still a beneficiary of the process ie rigged elections. He's crying wolf becuase he has been sidelined!! |
how come with no physical address |
I dont know if I would call it stealing now. It was thought to be stealing because we did not have enough to always serve meat and fish in every meal. I wonder what what the Catholic priest who heard all my confessions on messing with my mom's pot thought; poverty, hunger or stealing? |
Welcome to 2010,sir. The plane has landed, you may now unbuckle your seatbelt. Let me be the first to welcome you to this century of Nigerian women. If you are looking forward to marrying one of us, plz, immediately throw out any notion of "average wedding". Thank You sir. “I’M DIFFERENT, I CAN’T BASE WHAT I’M GONNA BE OFF OF WHAT EVERYBODY ISN’T.”~Jay-Z . It sounds Utopian to think that every wedding in Naija is super colourful and glamourous, the point is that I see folks wed every Saturday and something tells me that it is an average wedding or "abi I no try wedding" The impression that every Naija woman deserves a star studded wedding is a figment of imagination that is being stretched to infinity or unless she's got money to support it. I believe that a friend who asked me for N20,000 to support his wedding is also not in sync with Naija reality and so is his wife who married him for not throwing a wedding they could not afford. Maybe the logo for Naija wedding is marry me today. throw a big wedding tomorrow , go broke after and I will dump ass. |
Save up, but OASN, it'll be very rare to see a cheap yoruba wedding, even the village weddings are glamorous Cant say much for the other tribes. until u show me something wey go cool my mind, I dont want to believe that every1 has to be rich in Niaja in order to throw a wedding. These wedding celebrations no look like wetin average john ,adamu ,okey, and bayo dey do. I dont understand why some women dey cover their body like nuns wey dey for monastery on their wedding day. Show some skin on your wedding because watching South AFrica 2010 no mean say u go South Africa in 2010!!! |
what's going on with African players? They traded good looks for stability of their marriage? Kalu and Drogba have got OK wives as per physical beauty, but they look like they are staying with them forever. Not show me what u got kinda of ladies though!! |
Over hyped and over priced English players who could not prodoce any results at WC |
Any pictures for peeps wey dey make minimum wage like me N17,000/month. I know that over 70% of Naija cannot afford these elaborate trad. weddings. Show me something for average folks please |
Youthful exuberance. These forecatsters are at it again. WSJ once rated Nigeria stock market as the best ROI in the world, I wonder if they would say it again today? Investment 101 a paid-out dividend of a penny is worth more than a rosy expected return of $100. ie reality VS simulated scenario. |
Hello Chief Jonathan, Please I would like to have my kids, nieces, cousins, and nephews as guests in the forth coming Nigeria at 50 party for children. |
I wondered why smart men and women would choose walk down the aisle into a marriage they already felt would be a mistake. I also wanted to figure out why I came so close to marrying the wrong guy myself. Even though my fiancé was a very nice man, he was not the right man for me. Deep down, I had known that from the very beginning of the relationship. Why did a smart and capable woman get engaged to the wrong guy? I knew if I talked to enough women, I would uncover a pattern. Gauvain: When I met Anne, most of my clients were women who were desperately struggling in their relationships. I felt like I needed to do more to help these women who were finding their way to my couch. Q: So, what are the red flags that indicate someone is “marrying the wrong guy?” Milford: Red flags in relationships are problematic actions, attitudes and behaviors exhibited by your partner. But red flags aren’t always so obvious — they aren’t just “bad” behaviors, such as dishonesty or infidelity. Vastly differing beliefs or likes and dislikes (religion, jobs, parenting style, etc.) are another kind of red flag. Whatever kind it is, a red flag should make you stop and think. These warning signs offer clues about your boyfriend’s character. Ignore them at your own peril. In How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy, we stress the importance of making the connection between red flags and listening your gut feelings. Why? Because red flags are different for everyone. Rather then spell out every possible red flag in a potential boyfriend or girlfriend, we want people to be able to identify what a red flag is for them individually. (Although we do go through a checklist of possible red flags: Does your partner have a lot of debt? Does he or she have a healthy relationship with family? Does this person have any friends?) It’s up to you to make the connection between red flags and your gut feelings. We tell people that they can spot a red flag when it causes a reaction in their gut… or that little voice inside starts to speak up. If something feels off, or it doesn’t sit right with you, it’s a red flag. Q. Why do women marry the wrong guy? Milford and Gauvain: After talking to hundreds of women who married the wrong guy, we uncovered the three most common reasons why they walked down the aisle: 1. They got caught up in the momentum of the wedding until it was too late to call it off. People incorrectly believe that once the wedding date is set, it’s too late to stop it. Several women said they felt they had passed the point of no return once they received that first wedding gift or attended their first bridal shower. A pile of beautifully wrapped gifts does not have the power to keep you from canceling your wedding. You don’t want a set of wine glasses or a wok to dictate your future. 2. Feelings of fear, shame and embarrassment about publicly admitting that getting married was a mistake. Countless women told us that their pride kept them from calling off their weddings. Openly admitting that you made a mistake is excruciatingly difficult. But we like to remind women that when that marriage ends (and it will), you will still have to admit you made a mistake, but this time it will be in a room full of strangers, a paralegal, your attorney and a judge. How’s that for embarrassing? 3. Financial concerns associated with canceling the wedding. Numerous women told us that they were so swept up with the wedding planning, the dress they already purchased, the reception venue that was already booked, etc. and that they did not want to lose all of that money. There’s no question that there are short-term costs associated with canceling a wedding. But there are many more very nasty, unpleasant and complicated long-term costs that arise from not canceling. The fact is, if you cancel your wedding, you are going to lose some money. Q. How is marrying the wrong guy related to dating the wrong guy? Could online daters use the principles outlined in How Not to Marry the Wrong Guy to their advantage as they are creating their profiles and choosing prospects for their first and second dates? Milford and Gauvain: Marrying the wrong guy starts with dating the wrong guy! Women of all ages settle in their relationships. They know the guy is wrong from the start, yet they remain in the relationship. Why do they do it? We discovered five reasons why women date the wrong guy: Loneliness and insecurity Believing that the relationship is the solution to their problems External pressures to get married Thinking that “he will fix me” or “I will fix him” Ignoring red flags and gut feelings We encourage women to really reflect on what it is they truly value in a relationship. Honor those values. As you complete your profile, be honest and truthful about who you are. Be authentic. Don’t try to be who you think Mr. Right wants you to be. If you embellish the real you, then when you do finally get a date, you’re starting off on a weak foundation. Trust your gut feelings about the men you date. If someone exhibits actions or behaviors that just don’t sit right with you, politely say, “It was nice meeting you” and leave. You might disappoint your date, you might get frustrated, but if you don’t walk away when you first get that feeling… you start making excuses. Then that second date turns into a third and a fourth. Suddenly, out of boredom or trying to be polite, you find that you’re dating the wrong guy. Q. What’s the difference between normal pre-wedding jitters and the legitimate cold feet indicating you’re about to head down the aisle with the wrong person? Milford and Gauvain: Whenever we discuss having doubts about a pending marriage, people immediately start throwing around the terms “jitters” or “cold feet.” They use these terms interchangeably. “Everyone has jitters,” they say. Or, “All brides and grooms get cold feet before the wedding.” We disagree. While everyone might feel nervous about their wedding day, not all brides and grooms are concerned that they may be making a mistake. If you are nervous or scared because you have temporary concerns about the event (party, reception, bridesmaid, family issues, etc.), you have jitters. If you have doubts about the relationship itself? Then you have cold feet. The following thoughts indicate cold feet: I feel like I am settling. I don’t like they way I’m being treated. I hope our relationship will improve after the wedding. I don’t think this person is going to make a good spouse. I have to go through with this because we have been dating for so long. If I don’t marry this person, I will never find anyone else. These thoughts revolve around the relationship, not the wedding ceremony or reception. These are not temporary issues and they should not be ignored. http://yahoo.match.com/y/article.aspx?articleid=11625&TrackingID=526103&BannerID=683667 |
Let see the numbers.Lagos stats vs Ghana stats!! "Men lie, Women lie, numbers dont". How did the governor reach this conclusion? Could someone show me Ghana's national budget? |
obafemi is running because of tax system. He is smarter than most of the player. He is calculating how much he get back. You dont want to leave in a country where the tax is too high. britian has higher tax than other country. Look if you make 10 million in a country and you have to pay 5 million in tax. While another country you are given 8 million but you have to pay 2 million. you kept 6 million. Nigerian only calculate how much we keep back. How much do i get back. On this note, HE SHOULD HAVE STARTED HIS CAREER IN RUSSIA OR UZBEKISTAN |
happy ending for tired legs like him |
check out Mauritius. It's richer than Nigeria per capita GDP, but it's a small country population wise |
