kayol2012: Seriously...Some comments are hilarious and laughable. Its a known fact that all animals are equal but some are more equal than others. Nigerians suffer not because of leadership but quality of followership. Law states anything above $10,000 should be declared and some Nairalanders are justifying illegality. This is pathetic and annoying. Does two wrongs make a right? When you comment, think about Nigeria of your dream. If NDLEA is trying to do sth meaningful and deserves praise, they should be lauded. The type of comments i read here shows again why youths are being neglected and not carried along. if youth are the future of this country and these are the comments of future leaders....SMH and weep for Nigeria. Tell that to GMB who pays estacode to his aides and sycophants in $$€€ on foreign trips but expects lawful Nigerians to pay for goods and services overseas with Naira... |

TheGoodJoe: If all Governors were like Amaechi, Nigeria would have been a far better place. You are oblivious to the amount of money he wasted. He spent $24bn=N4.8tn in 8 yrs. No other govs had the type of money Amechi had at his disposal. $24bn can build a brand new state. |

TheGoodJoe: Who would have thought that the ALUU - UNIPORT road would be totally reconstructed? Who would have thought that the ALUU primary health centre would be a blessing as UPTH is on strike?
You guys live on some critical lines. I would have taken the Monorail criticism seriously if GEJ did not deliberately stop the project by starving the state of funds.
We can not know the level or distance he would have covered. He carried out other projects like the New Mile One Market and the New Stadium to top quality. Lack of funds stop the project. So I can not judge him on that. I judge him on the projects he completed like the Flyover at Agip junction. Warped reasoning.. So u are blaming GEJ for Amechi's inflation of monorail contract by 1100%? Numbers don't mean anything to u cos I can't wrap ur head around it.$24bn is a huge to build another world class city like PHC from ground to the top. |
Politics › Re: Bruce Fein's Open Letter To Buhari by adconline(m): 8:25am On Dec 02, 2015 |
TheGoodJoe: So you expect City of Port Harcourt to use the same operational cost as Chicago. I repeat, GEJ knew Amaechi would have taken strides in the rail system and starved the state of funds.
He employed thousands of teachers through his teachers training program and created employment for thousands of people through TIMARIV.
Best Rivers State Governor ever. Using financial expenditures of American states can not change the truth. Keep picking and choosing! I cited Rwanda as country which has an annual budget less than Rivers state. I cited Addis Ababa rail system costing $13.9m per km while Amechi's uncompleted monorail cost $153.m per km, so he charged Rivers 1100% more than what Ethiopian paid for a better system. |
Politics › Re: Bruce Fein's Open Letter To Buhari by adconline(m): 8:09am On Dec 02, 2015 |
TheGoodJoe: Why not start with the 500 schools governor Amaechi built to international standard and sent Children to school free of charge with Uniforms, Sandals, Socks and Books all provided by the government. Why not start with Golf Estate that Amaechi built or the standard Hospitals, Or the Federal roads he constructed that made GEJ pay the state over a Hundred Billion naira. Or the Fly Overs or the Sports Centers with top equipments or Stadium. Pleasez I said unless you do not live in Port Harcourt, you will know Amaechi is the best Governor Rivers State ever had.
He was so good that the President decided to fight him amd starve him from funds for continuing his projects. Many Children were treated in the state free of charge from the government purse. Free surgeries for mothers with Antenatal complications. He amassed $3bn/yr=$24bn for 8yrs.. City of Chicago spends $3bn a yr and it a world class city.. $24bn can build a new world class city. Same amount a country like Rwanda spends in a yr. He spent about $1bn on an 6.5km monorail without completion; that's about $ 153m per km.. World's costliest rail system, oh btw this project is abandoned after his cronies had been paid about $300m for " consulting fees" Ethiopia built ultra-mordern 34km rail sytem at $475m and it's working! That's about $13.9m per km... Let's stick to these numbers first. |

You say Amaechi spemt money with nothing to show. I guess, you do not leave in Port Harcourt. Anyone who leaves in Port Harcourt knows that Amaechi is the best Governor Rivers State ever had. Even Amaechi's worst enemy will attest to it. As chief resident-in-Chief, let's start with monorail before we talk about bad roads and pot holes in Trans-Amadi and beyond. |
Politics › Re: Bruce Fein's Open Letter To Buhari by adconline(m): 12:11am On Dec 02, 2015 |
TheGoodJoe: The commission was a stunt to stop the best Rivers State Governor of all time to become a minister. The EFCC were looking into the Rivers State finances. If there was any warning bell, Amaechi would have been arrested. Stunt as in the legal authority used by GMB is the legal authority Wike used. So Wike's commission is a stunt while GMB is legit?? Best governor who amassed over $24bn in 8 yrs and had nothing to show for it? He spent close to $1bn on a 10km monorail that os abandoned while Ethiopia spent $475m on a 75km modern rail that is working right now. |

If the EFCC comes up with concrete evidences of corruption in large scale of Amaechi, they can lock him up and throw the keys in an ocean.
Until then, Wike Can scream to hell, it does not stop Gen. Buhari from waging his war against those who chose to drown Nigerians with Corruption. And the same GMB's commission has found Dasuki and co culpable?? Why is EFCC acting on that finding while at the same ignoring Rivers commission's report/indictment on Amechi?? |

Mkmachika: To some extent I agree with you, considering your previous contribution to a ''fair play'', and your ability to tell your fellow Christians the truth. I agree with you that Islamic elite of the North use Islam to deceive the Northern masses but where you are wrong is that not all Muslims leaders deceive and Christians leaders are also guilty of deception and commercializing Jesus to amazed wealth.
Kukah you compromise your previous nature of telling the truth as how it is when you bring the issue of forced marriage and kidnapping girls by Boko Haram as part of Islam which is totally lie and you knew it but you say it anyway in your attempt to destroy the Image of Islam.
Kukah what will you say about those Catholics who sleep with male children during former Pope? what will you say about those pastors who constantly rape or have sex with their followers in the name of praying for them?
Keep trying Kukah there is no way you can damage the Image of Islam because Allah promise to protect it and Allah is more powerful than you and your likes, Even the Jesus you people worship is a servant to Allah let alone you. So take care. Google false equivalence! |

She should rather tell us if Tinubu ever force her to do anything against the law or his company was involved in any unethical practices. Wow.. How convenient?
