This man should just keep shut lest thunder fires him. He 'dashed' out the Deputy Senate Presidency slot to PDP and he's here blabbing. The respect I used to have for Saraki and Dino Melaye has just diminished. I love the way Ndume was treated. He never knew Saraki had met with PDP Senators to offer them the 'Deputy Presidential' slot. He thought he had played fast on his fellow APC Senators to emerge the Deputy to Saraki. He may have dumped Saraki by now since his 'supposed' slot was freely given to Ekwerimadu and Saraki is in for a long thing.

The PDP Senators should know that they were the greatest losers yesterday. Out of the 57 Senators that were present at the hallowed chamber of the Senate during the 'sham' Election, only 8 of them were APC Senators. If a PDP Senator had moved a motion to nominate a fellow PDP Senator (say David Mark), he would have won the contest hands down and Saraki would have felt betrayed by now (which would have gladdened my heart). Saraki betrayed their trust in him when he defected to APC, he also betrayed APC's trust when he shunned the meeting convened by the President at the ICC and went to the floor of the Senate, they (PDP) should have also betrayed him by electing a PDP man as Senate President. I would have preferred it that way. PDP goofed!

If 57 Senators voted, how come Ekweremadu polled 54 while Akume polled 20? Don't forget that it's the SP that appoints committee chairmen.. So PDP is likely going to get a lot juicy positions based on what they their bargained for.. PDP just outsmarted APC..

My observations from 2015 elections..APC and its supporters wanted to run a govt of exclusion and vengeance..they started calling people who didn't vote for them traitors. We wanted APC to take the high road like PDP, but they let theirs followers define them with vitriolic and hateful message of vengeance and exclusion. Fact1, PDP lost to AD in 1999 in southwest , but neither of its supporters nor chieftains called for exclusion of SWners from national appointment. Fact 2: Buhari won in North in 2003, 2007 and 2011 and none of his supporters were called traitors nor killed because of their vote. Their choice was respected unlike what happened in 2015.

In fact, some of ANPP members were offered appointments by OBJ and Yar'dua. When Oba of Lagos threatened Igbos with drowning in Lagos Lagoon, most of these APC fanatics didn't ask who would be the the beneficiary of Igbo votes- Jimi Agbaje, a Yoruba man,was likely to be the beneficiary- so how could you label someone a tribalist when he's actually voting for your kinsman instead of his brother?

GEJ accepted defeat and congratulated GMB; something GMB has never done to any presidents! Amechi, one of GMB's staunch supporters and financiers swore to make Rivers ungovernable by refusing to even hand over..

Tinubu is the first and only Naija to single-handedly pick a VP and impose him on a party. He wanted to hand pick NASS leaders- something no political leader has ever done. Even IBB and co who were alleged to have given OBJ N100m he donated to PDP in 1999, didn't extract such concessions from him. Emeka Offor also donated N200m to OBJ campaign in 1999 and didn't get to impose any candidate.

NASS leadership elections exposed the cracks and greed that bind this fragile union of APC members together- unlike PDP, which always solved its problems internally before NASS leadership elections were held, APC leadership was threatening NASS members who were in disagreement with BOT instead of compromising and rallying behind their preferred candidate.. APC wasted a huge political capital by electing a PDP member as the DSP with a huge implication of having an opposition member in all executive and inner-caucus deliberations- a PDP mole has been openly planted into APC by APC ! This party is on a high speed rail of self implosion or destruction- if I can't have it nobody-is gonna have it mentality.. Buyer remorse has kicked in after all these unfolding events.. These past eclections have brought out the worst racists and greedy folks in us all-Naija is irredeemably sunk!
BTW, I was a GEJ staunch critic and supported GMB and still hoping that he can succeed!!

Today, the PDP succeeded in exposing the underbelly of the state of the APC as regards it's preparedness for power. Close to 80 days after the APC was swept into power on their strange chant of "chanji" there's no sign that they even know what they are doing. Close to 80 days after winning an election, they could not pull through a horse trading deal for who gets what, when and how. They cannot articulate a list of Ministers to serve our fatherland. To cap it all, they went sheepishly to a meeting called at the ICC Abuja without so much as a rear guard watching this closely and giving them feedback. To think that Tinubu et al had to be scrambling for their cars to race back to NASS in shock beats any sane mind. These are supposed to be the people some Nigerians gave the mandate to govern them, yet had NO CLUE of a political coup unfolding under their noses. How can you trust these same people to protect Nigeria in troubled times God forbid! That Buhari travelled to Chad at the same time Osinbajo was in Sudan, when there were NO ELECTED leaders from the Senate or House of Representatives, no SGF nothing! Nigeria was effectively on auto pilot during this period? What!!! And at a time when Boko Haram was wrecking havoc??

Clearly, the APC is simply not ready to govern, perhaps due to its very nature of being a motley collection of the good, the bad and the ugly. Why won't i say so when it took the PDP 16 years to implode but took the APC only TWO WEEKS to press the self-destruct button! And you mock the PDP? Is this the "chanji" that PDP warned you about? If it is, then you are in trouble.

Next steps: are we going to see subterranean realignment of political interests from APC to PDP or to a new party or back to ACN or CPC for that matter? Keeping my fingers crossed and enjoying the political delicacy served up by politicians.

You guys need to learn about reverse psychology, PDP played directly the way APC wanted them to play, they knew PDP will support whoever they opposed. Lawan and Gbaja were just props. Now VP/SP(Yoruba) while Presido/Speaker (Hausa/Fulani). For you to understand politics, you need to look beyond regions. The way i see it, PDP just buried themselves more, why did APC announce their supposed candidates after the mock election. Normally parties do not have chosen candidates, you just put your name, campaign and the whole house votes. So they created the illusion of a broken party because they knew PDP will always vote against them.51 APC members did not vote at all today, why is that? PDP keeps burying themselves politically, David Mark and Bukola have totally different ideas (the Open NASS situation),Lawan would have worked better with David Mark. PDP need to start using their head cause we still need them. To all those who thinks Tinubu lost, i am laughing cause Tinubu's main purpose is to control government without being directly involved with it, So if Tinubu and Bukola are in cohorts, you can't blame Tinubu for Bukola's actions cause he did not publicly endorse him, Do you know what goes on behind close doors? All these will not affect them, it will affect us, the citizens.

People are a product of their upbringing. It is almost a waste of time trying to get words through to some women because suffering is the new normal. So a woman was married to a man for 28years and only enjoyed him on the last three years and all women should aspire to be like that woman?
