BusinessHOW CAN I MAKE MY BUISNESS UNIQUE AND DISTINGUISHED FROM OTHERS? by addictiv(op):
i asked this question on a thread but decided to open a fresh one solely for this purpose.

i am investing waste polythene recycling and i am putting things together to meet my personal deadline of November,2013 to get this business up and running. now i have done my market survey but i need a wider audience so as to get a wider scope. the plant i tend to setup is a modern, state of the art polythene recycling plant in port harcourt. i am currently thinking of quality services i could offer to attract more customers and make a difference in the recycling business.....your humble opinions are greatly appreciated.

i think thats where trust comes in,i have a girl like that. shes really beautiful and a nice person and every where she goes, guys always hit on her. and these guys are not just small boys, they re oil workers , foreigners, politicians, and really big boys. initially it was difficult but with time we got past that stage. she tells me about every guy she meets even introduced me to some of them. we re really open with each other, i mean there is nothing about her that i dont know and that has really helped us. you have got to trust her and she has got to come clean about her relationships with them. look at it this way, you are a special guy if not she would have left you for one of them. if they really meant something to her.

PoliticsRe: FG To Generate 4,000MW Electricity From Coal by addictiv(m): 2:12pm On Jul 08, 2013
...i have been to the afam gas megapower station owned by phcn in obigbo in rivers state.out of the all the gas turbines in the plant only two are functioning GT's 17 and 18,with GT 18 being shut down partially due to technical faults. NGC metering station is located opposite. its designed to supply gas exclusively to phcn, but phcn is always calling and asking that gas supply be shutdown because of faults from the gas turbines....this is a station responsible for what i believe is 60% of power in the state yet they have just two functioning gas turbines and their supply is fairly good. then imagine what would happen if they had six or seven optimally functioning turbines. exploring coal should be at the event gas supply isnt enough but since thats not the case. we should concentrate on ugrading our power stations...i really think thats where the problem originates from.

obailala: Haha!
For your own information again, the so called developed countries you talk of are only just 'thinking' and 'planning' to move away from coal. Yes we all know coal is 'dirty' in every sense but these advanced countries will not completely depart from coal even in the next 50 years. The development of sustainable and clean energy is still in the infant stage and isn't ready to replace fossil fuels in the world energy stage; not even in the next 100 yrs.

Yes we know Nigeria has a lot of natural gas being flared off and even exported, we also know we have potentials to improve on our hydro-power but the keyword here is 'diversify.' Even if Nigeria produces 50,000MW of energy from gas or hydro, it is still imperative that we diversify our sources.
so because you want to diversify, you build a new estate with thatched houses made of mud when other people are converting their mud buildings to concrete... we have two major sources which are hydropower from kanji dam and gas, how well have we used them? diversification is cool but you ll agree with me that the cost of building and developing a coal based industry is much more compared to upgrading the gas power industry which we already have....the key words are sustainability and conservation. its just like buying a new car because the one you have isnt functioning properly when it just needs proper care and servicing. how sure are you that the new one isnt gonna meet the same fate?. God bless Nigeria!!!

obailala: For ur information, coal still remains the largest source of energy for power production worldwide. Also if u read through the ministers statement, u would see that the idea is to diversify instead of relying on only one source of energy.

For a country like Nigeria, we need any means of energy for now, cos a hungry man would have to feed on what he has firstly before he starts thinking of feeding on 'healthy' foods.
for your own information countries using coal are moving towards renewable's .if you know anything about global energy, you should know that countries are fined heavily for each metric ton of carbon produced, and thus they are trying as much as possible to step their figures down.
what happened to our gas, much of it is still flared or liquefied and exported as LNG. then even with the little that goes to the gas turbines, the infrastructure to utilize them are either not available or not functioning optimally. counties are upping their hydroelectric systems, investing in fuel cells and bio fuels which we can conveniently develop with the massive presence of fossil fuels. And someone is talking about coal.if we start using coal when people are leaving it, how does that reflect on us in the international community? with the environmental effects, what legacy are we leaving for the future generation. always remember that a problem deferred is never a problem solved. being very hungry is not a good reason to eat foods that will kill you, we must change that mentality if we want to progress as a nation.
PoliticsRe: FG To Generate 4,000MW Electricity From Coal by addictiv(m): 9:10am On Jul 08, 2013
when countries around the world are investing in renewable energy and developing better sources of sustainable energy.....we are driving backwards into the age of coal, which is a synonym for pollution, very funny advisers in the presidential cabinet, with no sense of reasoning. the supplus gas in the countries reserves can conveniently feed the whole nation. they should think in that direction..
PoliticsRe: Photos Of How Nigerian Prisoners Sleep And Enjoy Their Life by addictiv(m): 10:58pm On Jul 05, 2013
if Nigeria had a transparent govt...the private sector could easily invest in building standard correctional facilities and leasing them out to govt....this practice is quite common abroad and a good investment if you ask me....but who would trust a govt who owes lecturers 12,500.
Also if we were in an ideal state, govt can come up with a scheme to pay lawyers that take up cases of prisoners and an extra incentive for each case won by the lawyer....now the lawyer who would not want his money tied down, would try his best to prove his clients innocence...this could create opportunities for lawyers and would help decongest the facilities.
then the judiciary could be improved by upgrading to world standard judiciary...
i mean our leaders travel out and see this things abroad, why cant they bring these ideas and systems home?...

Nashville: If you truly love her and she truly loves you I will say marry her. True love is hard to find these days.

I will also advice that you both agree a clear plan on how you will come to live together after marriage. Do not leave that hanging in the air. Decide clearly if and when she is coming to join you in America or if you will come back home after your Masters. Also plan a few visits for her to the US. But be very clear what the plan is after marriage and what kind of work she will do if she comes to join you.

always advisable to conclude a project before starting another ehh...
