Well this thread isn't about submission or parent/child relationships, if you want to have a conversation about submission, open a thread let's talk about it.
In Nigeria today its very difficult to force someone into a relationship or marriage and there are laws with serious consequences for anyone who tries to force anybody into something they don't want. So almost everyone has and exercises their right to make a choice to a great degree. If you are treated poorly in a workplace, you have the choice to leave. If you are treated poorly in a relationship, you have the option to leave, in a marriage, you can divorce. If you choose to remain where you are treated like a slave then endure the suffering because nobody will rescue you if you don't want to rescue yourself.

That being said, a relationship where a woman earns twice her man and yet expects him to bear the entire cost of upkeep which is almost greater than his earnings is absolutely unreasonable and unacceptable. If your argument is that if she's treated like a slave she shouldn't contribute her finances, I'd completely agree with you. Then again someone being treated like a slave will not be given the opportunity to earn more than her master because it would put the master at a great disadvantage. So obviously in this case she's not a treated as a slave and proof of that is she makes more money than him. And in most cases the person with more money has more power and influences the direction of the relationship.

Why will someone want to be in relationship where they are treated as slaves? The purpose of a relationship is to share everything with each other, there is nothing fanciful about that.

How does it make any sense to share private parts together , exchange saliva, sleep together, eat together, do almost everything together but your money is not together? As a family your money should be together and bills and needs to be addressed together. If you are not ready for this then remain single.

This shouldnt even be up for discussion. Unless she is a stay at home wife, as long as my wife is working, her income must come into the family purse like mine does. Because by going to work, you take away time that should be spent on family and while the family looses time and attention, the family should benefit from that endeavour by being a recipient of the rewards that emanated from that endeavour. Even if the man is a billionaire and she's a thousandnaire so long she works, she should contribute to house upkeep. If you say her money is her money, then what does the family benefit from her being a working mother/wife?

I have realised that when a woman wants a man or misses her man it's because of the magnitude responsibilities a man is able to carry alone. Not really because she wants to show him love or take care of him, rub his back, cook for him or any of that good stuff. It's mostly because of what he does or will do for her. In most cases she wants him to come take over the bulk of the burden she bears. That's why I tell men if you want your woman to appreciate you more don't bear everything alone. Share some and assign to her. Ever wonder why men who share and engage in domestic chores with their wives tend to appreciate their women more than men who do not get involved in activities in the home? It's the same principle. Men that give their women everything tend to complain more about lack of love than men who share responsibilities...All I am saying is don't bear everything alone and think you will be loved more because the opposite is usually the case... A man should do majority of the work but not everything..... Just my opinion
