The only way to stop is to encourage her to speak up about how she feels if she's upset and stop silent treatment. Stop the begging, she knows you will come to beg her at the end. By begging you are not only encouraging her to do more but you are showing her that her tactics is working and she can always bring you to your knees and make you do her bidding whenever she wants. And by not communicating with you she's ruining and killing your marriage. Like I said earlier, if the high commission approved his request via the letter, then it is also culpable. One thing I know about UK and US government is that rather than embarrass themselves they would issue a ruling that removes such possibility. There's no way you can exploit someone that offered a product or service willingly, you have to prove that the victim did not know of the procedure and was coerced, a good lawyer would have the case thrown out. The bigegst issue is the age, once that is resolved, it becomes a more defensible case.

You can't exploit someone that gave consent. Furthermore if the letter is evidence against him then it is also evidence against the high commission. They gave their approval for a procedure that is against UK regulations?

1. First go and find out what the UK law defines as exploitation.
2. In the letter ekweremadu only stated David is going for a private medical treatment not to donate his kidney. He didn't fully disclose the reason for his travel which already makes him look culpable in the eyes of the law.

Proving David is not a minor just reduces the amount of jail time ekweremadu will face. If you think the case will be dropped just like that then you don't know UK. Unless FG gets involved ekweremadu is in a deep mess

Well this thread isn't about submission or parent/child relationships, if you want to have a conversation about submission, open a thread let's talk about it.
In Nigeria today its very difficult to force someone into a relationship or marriage and there are laws with serious consequences for anyone who tries to force anybody into something they don't want. So almost everyone has and exercises their right to make a choice to a great degree. If you are treated poorly in a workplace, you have the choice to leave. If you are treated poorly in a relationship, you have the option to leave, in a marriage, you can divorce. If you choose to remain where you are treated like a slave then endure the suffering because nobody will rescue you if you don't want to rescue yourself.

That being said, a relationship where a woman earns twice her man and yet expects him to bear the entire cost of upkeep which is almost greater than his earnings is absolutely unreasonable and unacceptable. If your argument is that if she's treated like a slave she shouldn't contribute her finances, I'd completely agree with you. Then again someone being treated like a slave will not be given the opportunity to earn more than her master because it would put the master at a great disadvantage. So obviously in this case she's not a treated as a slave and proof of that is she makes more money than him. And in most cases the person with more money has more power and influences the direction of the relationship.

Because by going to work, you take away time that should be spent on family and while the family looses time and attention, the family should benefit from that endeavour by being a recipient of the rewards that emanated from that endeavour. I have realised that when a woman wants a man or misses her man it's because of the magnitude responsibilities a man is able to carry alone. Not really because she wants to show him love or take care of him, rub his back, cook for him or any of that good stuff. It's mostly because of what he does or will do for her. In most cases she wants him to come take over the bulk of the burden she bears. That's why I tell men if you want your woman to appreciate you more don't bear everything alone. Share some and assign to her. Ever wonder why men who share and engage in domestic chores with their wives tend to appreciate their women more than men who do not get involved in activities in the home? It's the same principle. Men that give their women everything tend to complain more about lack of love than men who share responsibilities...All I am saying is don't bear everything alone and think you will be loved more because the opposite is usually the case... A man should do majority of the work but not everything..... Just my opinion
