Definitely knew this was coming...They want to make Zelensky the fall guy and blame him for the war to force him to surrender and agree to Russia terms, because currently the EU is basically funding the war for Russia, funding donations to Ukraine and dealing with mass influx of refugees into EU countries ..add the increase in gas prices. All this has created an overwhelming situation for the EU and its really stressing out their fragile economies that were just recovering from Covid pandemic. As at this point they don't care anymore about punishing Russia, they just want the war to end, by any means necessary. Plus they never cared about helping Ukraine in the first place, they just wanted to parley and bring Russia to heel but now its proving to be too expensive. Watch as the same western media that hailed him the hero of Ukraine turns Zelensky into the villain in order to hang him. Meanwhile all the sanctions EU placed on Russia will be quietly revoked to allow ease of business, they would rather do that than buy Russian gas in roubles, which would even be more catastrophic for the EU.

Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan has struck a deal to import natural gas from Russia – despite outcry over the invasion of Ukraine.

As countries impose sanctions and seek to isolate Vladimir Putin, Khan became the first leader to sign a new trade deal with Russia since the attack.

He said the pair had “great discussions” on his visit to Moscow last week, which took place as Putin launched the invasion.

They signed a bilateral agreement and Khan also agreed to import two million tons of wheat from Russia.

He defended the deal in a televised speech to the nation, saying Pakistan had needed it.

“We have signed agreements with them to import natural gas because Pakistan’s own gas reserves are depleting,” he said.

“Inshallah (God willing), the time will tell that we have had great discussions.”

Khan has expressed concern over the invasion of Ukraine, but fallen short of denouncing it.

A post-meeting statement said Khan told Putin he “regretted the latest situation between Russia and Ukraine” and had hoped “diplomacy could avert a military conflict.”

Now, the top diplomats of 22 countries have called on Pakistan to support a resolution condemning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in the United Nations General Assembly.

Last week, Russian state media broadcast images of Mr Khan and Mr Putin shaking hands and sitting down together in Moscow, hours after Putin gave a televised address effectively declaring war on Ukraine.

Mr Khan arrived in Moscow late on Wednesday, going ahead with a planned trip on the eve of the invasion.

The prime minister was heard in a video clip telling Russian officials on his arrival that it was a time of “so much excitement”.

“What a time I have come... so much excitement,” Mr Khan can be heard saying in the clip shared on social media.

The US reacted angrily to the news of Mr Khan’s visit even before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, saying the onus was on every “responsible” country to voice objection to Mr Putin’s actions.

Some of these sanctions are dictated by the spur of the moment instead of reason and will backfire greatly when the dust settles.

FIFA and IOC that don't even allow human rights groups to protest during sports now make decisions of wide reaching political consequences.

They are all shooting themselves in the foot. The same organisations that have banned and punished teams and contestants in the past for refusing to play against people from countries that were in conflict is now asking sports organisers to ban a team from a country in conflict. Riding on public sympathy and opinions is really dangerous especially in sports because they won't be able to implement same measures when allies behave in similar fashion. Which could trigger civil unrest.

They are fighting in Ukraine, the Western Military is going to Estonia instead heading to Ukraine... Are they having issues reading their Maps correctly? The battle is with Russia and Ukraine, did Estonia provoke Russia to war, Are Estonians the ones currently catching bullets and bombs, Are Estonians the ones currently being displaced from their homes?
