In my home what my folks did is that since they both earn mum took care of feeding exclusively meaning that dad can't come back home she tells him that there is no money to buy garri. Dad took care of education fees, fuelling of cars and gen, our monthly allowances..........she earns more than him so apart From feeding and buying clothes for my sisters she has enough funds to take care of herself, which she does to the fullest.......little things like buying drugs if someone was sick or general household expenses were handled buy both parties depending on who was at home at the time of need but I think my mum took care of most of that generally.then when it came to major projects like building a house or buying a new car, trips abroad, it fell on my dad if he didn't have enough he borrowed from mum and usually paid back in due course or did he? Well that's almost all of it, he wasn't giving her monthly allowances but doesn't mean that he didn't spoil her silly. And if anyone was broke they borrowed from the other . They never fought or argued about their roles and that's how intend to follow mine....

Let me help you guys, Agbami gives scholarships to both 100 and 200 level students only assuming you re in engineering for example, you get 100k only. If you are in year one you are paid 100k for five years, thats a cumulative of 500k. If you re in year two , you get 100k for four years that's till you graduate totalling 400k.
So when they re talking of paying of which i currently have no information about it simply means that you ll be paid that total cumulative of your scholarship due at once instead of 100k annually you ll get 500k if you are in year one and 400k if you are in year two. You ll not be paid again after this cos obviously your contract with agbami has expired. The same goes for med, pharmacy, nursing and dentistry.

Great thread with respect to officers in the house, I would like to know the prospects of someone with a Natural Gas Engineering background going on short service in the Nigerian Airforce and Navy respectively I heard that they prefer doctors, accountants and engineers who's discipline re more relevant in the force.

from what i know, med n surg and dentistry gets 200k while engineering gets 100k....dont know if they hav changed it this time.

my folks had always compared me to guys who were far much older and mature than myself......they expected so much from me. this pushed me to leave the thinking circle of my age grade and migrate to the level of guys they compared me with. the good part is that i think faster and in a more mature direction than my mates, the bad side is that i didn't have a childhood.......was already a man when my mates where still boys.
