The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar Farouq, says the federal government considers Nigerians who buy N100 call credit as poor and will ensure they get relief cash. The minister, who earlier confirmed that N-Power beneficiaries were being paid their stipends, spoke in an interview with State House correspondents on Tuesday. NAN quoted her as disclosing that urban poor dwellers with an account balance of N5,000 or less will be among the beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer scheme. Farouq said the prospective beneficiaries would be part of the additional one million households approved by President Muhammadu Buhari in his national broadcast Monday night. “You are also aware that Mr President in his broadcast directed that we expand the beneficiaries of the Conditional Cash Transfer by one million. In this regard, we are going to focus more on the urban poor. “These are people who depend on the informal sector to earn their livelihood. They are daily wage earners and these are people we are really going to focus more on as well as people living with disabilities,’’ she stated. Farouq explained that aside the National Social Register, Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) and previous record of purchase of recharge cards by mobile phone owners formed part of criteria to identify Nigerians that will get the cash transfer. “We are also using the mobile network, people that top up their phones with maybe N100, N200. These are the people we consider to be poor and vulnerable,’’ the minister added. Nigerians have been condemning the methods of the federal government’s disbursement of cash and food items. Likewise, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for “failure to provide palliatives” to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. https://dailypost.ng/2020/04/15/nigerians-who-top-up-n100-airtime-have-n5000-account-balance-will-get-cash-fg/ |

chloedogie:Good morning... Sent you a mail this morning. |
chuksbaby:Just teach me the First 2 successfully and I will be very grateful. |
chloedogie:Hi bro. |
Nukilia:You don't seem to understand the situation is not a joke or this is not the time to be sarcastic. Two people were killed 2 days ago in my area. Nobody slept throughout yesterday as we needed to gang up to secure ourselves since Govt. has failed us woefully. One of the guys was caught early this morning but the CDA leader begged before he was handed over to the police as guys were ready to do jungle justice. This is no joke. |
chloedogie:It will be in the email registered with nairaland. |
chloedogie:I sent you a pm bro. |
OgbeniOja1:The way these guys terrorized the area in the last 3 days is unbelievable. The causalities would have been more if not because of lockdown. |

Viking007:Seriously I was very annoyed with that guy called Samak... As the guy was trying to answer some of their so called FBI questions, they kept on coming with new ones as if they sent them to him. Can,you believe that guy also bet but criticising the guy for betting. This LIFE!!!!! The funniest one was Tissuep...on that same thread...This same guy was hailing them for jobs well done but don't know if you remember the same Tissuep came to betting thread late last year or so complaining and thinking of Suicide before someone came to his rescue. This Life has taught me never to mock someone in needs, do your own and leave everything to God even if they are lying. BTW, you brought me here. You really know when to share good threads on here. Keep it up. |
