Ginalex:But he was correct now. First of all, were you even part of that process to discredit what he said? Or you just discredit what you have no idea about. I was part of that process. It was recruitment that started in December 2012. The portal was closed and the recruitment was suspended. In November 2013, i was notified to upload some documents. An aptitude test was conducted in 2014 and we were notified via SMS of our success in the test. Another SMS was sent to us on the delay to the next stage which was the interview stage i believe, in 2015. GEJ lost the election and the whole process was cancelled without any form of communication until a fresh recruitment commenced in 2019. Piece of advice, always be sure of what you type before you discredit someone's claim; else people may think otherwise of you. Cheers. |
Well at least it has dawned on a lot of people who had no idea of how Nigeria Federal recruitment works. My 2 cents, move on with your life. The longer this recruitment persists, the higher the tendency of a biased list. Those who have already built house and bought cars for a job that is not even certain, better have a rethink. At this point, everyone should have a plan B,C, D and so on. the APL should be seen as an icing on the cake rather than a last resort. Funny enough, by the time the APL is distributed, some of us may even be in a better place than what is being offered. That is life. Opportunities unveils in the midst of uncertainties. To those of us currently employed, i believe we all know how it works, we continue to plan with current income until a higher income is earned. Peace. |
Mattworld:I love this trend and it will continue! i for one will continue reporting irrelevant comments on this thread. If the GTs(especially) here are not matured enough to be orderly on a simple faceless forum how will it transcend to their respective professional careers. Have you visited other Job career threads in the past? NLNG, DPR, even the current shell thread maintains more decorum than this. They had better be guided or their comments will be deleted and/or their monikers banned! |
ChasteGhuy:Dear ChasteGhuy, If you had noticed in the past, despite several mentions by you, i had never ennobled you with a response. But let me gratify you this once. I would start by saying, i wonder what your daily rituals are like, i can see you are quite effervescent about this thread. Your comments are rife and you always seem to quote anyone(Literally) with a response, as i expect you would this comment. Perhaps your daily ritual is spending all day on this platform, this thread maybe, posting and responding to every comment. That's fine, so long as it sticks within the confines of the thread. But then again, unlike others, who may also have a lot of free time as you do, they do apply moderation and those who don't, as was ubiquitous in the past couple of days are smart enough not to unveil their identity. I can't say the same for you, the Isoko brother who awaits APL. Not so very smart a move, i must add. That being said, i'd just summarize this with some rhetorical questions, ask yourself; Do i need to reply everyone's comment? Do i feel less of a man if i don't post? Would my Data be a waste if i don't post? of my over 1500 comments on this thread, have i been of assistance for posterity sake? Do i need to show everyone i am jobless or less engaged? Do i need to reply this comment? You may find what you need when you genuinely answer these questions. One more thing, in a bid to expeditiously respond to comments, a perusal of your postulates for the second and maybe third time may not hurt, so that at least people would think you are smart. You may want to refer to the bold phrase on the aforementioned quote. P:S - I rarely reply to a comment more than once, so subsequent mention on this would not get a reply. Cheers. |
bobowaja:And 'they' will continue to be ignored and their comments blocked and pretty soon their accounts blocked. This is a job thread, not everyone has the luxury of time to skim through multiple pages of baseless and puerile comments when rummaging for information. We all claim to be graduates, then we should be learned enough to understand the purpose of the thread. That is why there are rules on the platform, that is why there are sections; if you crave salutations and want to meet up, there is a thread for that, if you want to share jokes and troll all day long, there is a section for that! As long as we stick to the purpose of this thread, irrelevant comments WILL continue to be reported. |
Ladyjane5657:Your jokes are bland and you are becoming a nuisance on this thread. You may want to apply restraint and stop populating this thread with gibberish. If not that the letter 'f' is juxtaposed by your moniker, i'd have averred that you are an alternate moniker to someone on this thread with a similar characteristic. |
Firstgentleman1:What exactly do you expect an internal staff to say? That the process is not transparent and won't be based on merit? lol. I do not dispute that people would get in on merit but bruv, this is a government parastatal and some things haven't changed, not yet at least. When the APL is released, you will probably understand better. If you look closely at the last recruitment and use that platform as a sample size, you can tell how many people actually testified out of say over 400 people recruited? You can do the count. Well, all the best to everyone as we await the end of this recruitment. |
Jarus:Reason is because we have some set of buffoons who call themselves graduates infiltrating this thread with a plethora of asinine comments and hence making pertinent information as regards this recruitment look inconsequential. |
Slammmmmmmm:Your second point need not be conceived in your head because it is a fact. People have actually been paid at different dates! As for the first, you are entitled to your belief. Cheers. |
Sempumping:I am quoting you for the second time. You have been giving contradictory information on this thread. Well, it's fine seeing that that has been pervading this whole thread. Anyways, the only thing i share a different opinion is as to your relative estimation on merit fro this recruitment which has sounded so authoritative thus far. As though you are part of the Board or Top management. However, if your postulate on merit is based on the demeanor or integrity of the GMD/GGM, HR...or even the president, then you may be wrong. Let me address that shortly. You see, NNPC has been sort of the 'holy grail' for politicians, always has, always will. Lobbying has always been part of the recruitment and is part of this current one, whether you believe it or not. Even though i can lay credence on this via a source, i will rather discuss this logically. The delay in this process is evident now at the climax of this recruitment, yes? There could be 2 possibilities for this, 3 actually but the third will fizzle out once i explain it to you: 1. The recruitment conducted thus far prior to the change of GMD had been flawed, hence the new GMD has reservations about the whole process and is currently reviewing the list and evening toeing the line of cancellation. However, according to you this claim cannot be supported as the recruitment so far has been based on merit, But then again you believe the rectitudinous nature of the new GMD, so this completely rules out this possibility. 2.The recruitment conducted thus far has been based on merit and the new GMD is trying to tweak things to favor his interests. This could also be true but according to you once again the uprightness of the new GMD negates this claim. 3.The third possibility would be that the list has been available but there has been extreme pressures from so may influential persons that has stalled the process. This is completely ruled out on the basis that, according to you, both the minister of petroleum and new GMD are of high moral standards and seeing that the minister of petroleum is the commander in chief, no other requested favors supersedes that of the president so this list would have long been released. Having debunked possibilities that could arise based on you assertion of a 95% merit, let me now tell you what i think s going on, at least from posterity. I have heard some things though, but i say this based on speculation. The reason i think this delay prevails is that things are not the way it seems. The recruitment itself has defied all timelines in comparison with the past that it is almost as though something sinister has been outlined from the outset. i believe the current list does not favor the new set of management(GMD) hence the reason for tweaking the list or in a worst case scenario, outright cancellation. Cancellation is very much a possibility in a bureaucratic setting like NNPC, make no mistake about that. Nepotism is very rife in Federal Parastatals and Government ministries/agencies and NNPC is no different this is what i believe is the reason for the delay In summary madam/sir, stop making assertions on a certain percentage of merit when you cannot even explain in lucid terms the reason for the current delay. |
nnssnnss:The boy is actually an idiot. Some of all these half-baked graduates cum keyboard warriors that cannot type less and read more. Just because they have access to data and a device. His assertion is so lopsided that a secondary school graduate can actually do better. |
bobowaja:Just take a good look at yourself! Making jest of someone that has been actually contributing something related to the recruitment process. I bet if they review the history of all the comments you have made on this thread, it has had little or no value. Your moniker even sounds like a joke. Better keep mute if you have nothing reasonable to contribute and allow people with some information to contribute. It is people like you and your useless comments that restrict people from actually sharing the information they have. |
Sempumping: Sempumping:No list yet and you are sticking to 95% merit.....Well done Ma. |
Chibusoil: Chibusoil: Chibusoil: Chibusoil:I hope people choose to ignore this clown. This guy raised false alarm of receiving invite on the 20th of June which was unfounded by the way. When the invites started rolling in by 26th June he was making inquiries as to whether unsuccessful mails were sent. Apparently he didn't even scale through the CBT stage. While it is not out of place that unsuccessful candidates can have valid information about the recruitment process, i guess this guy's reputation precedes him. Best be guided young man! |
Swargu:You do realize that there was a recruitment in 2014 that was truncated after there was a change in the seat of power right? What would you say happened to the budgeted funds released for that recruitment. Baba, as long as you do not know the criteria used in selection and distributing APL you cannot assert that it is based on Merit. I want you to know that. If you want to know what a transparent process is, CBT scores would have been sent to you, cut off would be known. The list that is ready would be visible. In that way, when names are swapped people will know. But all these are unknown. If they swapped like 700 names from the list you wouldn't know sh!t. Even people that have connect will be telling you to pray. What does that tell you? That a lot is going on beyond what they can see and/or control. At the end, like i always believe, whoever's destiny is designed to work at NNPC would. |
GeniusOla:From a financial perspective, it is. Given that your ROI would progressively be high. However, it is not impossible. You would agree with me that very few persons know how successful candidates were selected after CBT and probably after the interview. Collation are done by human beings albeit staff but you cannot tell at what level. The secretary taking notes, the guys that ushered us into the ampitheatre, i may be wrong but they all look like junior staff. Someone may be looking to make fast cash. In this kind of organisations, APLs are not entirely dependent on just your performance; grace, luck and connections are involved. Privileged staff at any stage of the recruitment, if they are involved in the process can swap names due to nepotism, financial gains et al. Do you think some persons asking for panel information are just asking for the fun of it? In summary, whoever is destined to get the APL will get and that is pretty much it. |
GeniusOla:There is one thing i need you to be aware of in FG parastatals. Long before the time FCT was moved to Abuja, Slots have always been sold. This is not a presumption, it is a FACT! You can do your research about it. Cheers. |
nevergiveup1:From my review of the the EH positions: SS4- 6 years Experience SS3- 9 years Experience SS2-12 years Experience and SS1 -15 years Experience. I believe the EH positions advertised were 6 years, 9 years and Managerial positions(18 years and above experience). I should expect that people with 12 years but less than 18 years experience will be placed between SS 2 and SS1 or perhaps those position will be negotiated when the offer letters are presented. If that is not what will be applied then i guess regardless of the number of years of experience, provided it is below 18 years, such persons would be placed on the SS3 as a supervisory role. |
Iraborist:Pretty much. Or you can try again next year, if eligible. Not entirely sure, but i think the recruitment is conducted annually. |
Shell's recruitment has always stalled. If your application is review in progress, you best forget about this recruitment and think of your other options. I was in similar situation in 2013 and it took those guys a year and 3 months before my application status changed from 'pending' to 'declined/rejected'(Can't remember the exact phrase). I even had a friend who completed the whole process and was successful with the SRD. He was told that he would be contacted on the availability of the position he applied for. That position was never available from what he told me. He left Nigeria for his masters after a year and doing very well abroad. As fresh graduates, i implore you to work earnestly towards other ventures, if you are called(which is unlikely for many) just take it as plus amidst other ventures you are chasing/ have achieved. Peace |
Swargu:The TF reimbursement would probably continue even after APLs are released. This was experienced during the last recruitment albeit theirs came in at a longer period after their interviews. This is own presumption as to how the TFs are distributed. This is a FG parastatal that is laden with bureaucracy, so it is expected that the trend will continue. This payment pattern was no different from the one in the last recruitment so it is safe to aver that it is probably the same set of TF processors that supervised the last recruitment that are currently on this. The pattern of payment in my opinion is inconsequential as they could be sorting by dates/disciplines/banks. Why it comes in piecemeal however, i presume it may be more sinister than it is evident. The disbursement could probably be to circumvent approval at a higher level so as not to arouse suspicion. The names/descriptions are basic banking transfer descriptions that are inputted by Funds Transfer Staff. King, Lazarus and Faruk are all staff through which the instructions of reimbursement came from. The payments without names is probably because the FT staff of the bank failed to input the names under the description module while making the transfers. Sadly, this piecemeal payments may be done so that when funds for some interviewees(peculiar issues like wrong account details/no account details/wrong bank name et al) are released, they could be diverted without suspicion. I may be wrong but this is my presumption. N:B- There is nigh probability that some of us on this thread would be employed. However, a lot does happen in this type of organizations. A lot of bureaucracy and shenanigans abound. Guys that would be in Administrative/finance roles like Accounts, Audit, Procurement, Tax and Budget. You will probably see a lot of things that would go through you or pass over your head. It is based on how your belief/integrity is factored that would determine how you proceed. Resignation is usually an option for some folks in these positions. I say this based on my experience with FG agencies in the past. I may be wrong though. These are all just presumptions. |
Jarus:Hello Jarus. A quick question please. Have you spoken to your main source as regards the release of APL? If yes, did he corroborate the 'latest September' expectation as the other two sources you had shared on this thread earlier. Your kind response is well anticipated. Thank You. |
larride:I beg to differ on this. The fact that the GMD's son went through the recruitment process does not substantiate the transparency of the process. For starters, i could guess you have no concrete evidence of the parameters that were used to select candidates for the CBT exam other than the ones published. For all you know, all the influences had all been in the process from the start. Sometime on this thread, someone stated that even before the recruitment was advertised, a friend of his was told to submit his CV by his uncle. That guy may have done his interview in the towers as well and would also probably be given his APL. In that light can you say the recruitment had no external influences? There may probably be some persons reading this thread and having a good laugh because their APLs are already secured. I just don't think you can assert it is a transparent process when you don't even know what criteria was used for selection. Heck, no one can even explain the erratic reimbursement of candidates who attended the interview. I am not a pessimist by the way. i have gone through several federal government recruitment processes to understand that it is hardly transparent. |
Jarus:Thank You Jarus. Your comments are always reassuring. |
Jiang:This begs the question, if it has been ready for a long time why has there been no notification yet to the successful candidates on the outcome of the interview conducted? In my humble postulate, the delay is making this process look chary. Someone here said the list was with the GMD. I presume if that was the case, has it gone through FCC? If i read correctly, 1 or 2 persons have confirmed that it has gone through FCC. Well, i would think the list must have gone through the management of the organisation first before going to FCC and when it is approved by FCC, the validation of the list by the management team should be seamless. This would be based on the logic that very little influences could be made on the list after FCC's approval, this is just a presumption. Otherwise, there would be no need for FCC's approval in the first place. This is becoming tiresome. |
The level of immaturity on this thread is startling. It is ubiquitous by the infantile postulates. This was expected to be Job/career thread with pertinent information. I honestly cannot wait for the APLs to be released(which is imminent by the way). Then the theorists, pranksters, jokesters and jesters(in the literal sense of the word) on this thread can move on with their lives; regardless of if they were successful or not. I sure do hope all these comments on a supposed 'faceless forum' does not transcend into your professional lives, and again, regardless of if successful or not. Intelligence usually does not equate to productivity. PS: Do not quote me as i would not even aggrandize your mentions. |
