Certain applications default setting is to allow downloads and at times push notifications when it is Wi-fi and not cellular data. However, if you make the settings the same it won't matter because it will consume same data regardless. Also, if you use your mobile data as hotspot, the other device connected to it will assume it is WiFi and drain your data |

Fact: Take any decision you want and don't make your children your excuse. Unique357: My wife left me when I lost everything. She took our two children with her and has blocked me everywhere. I couldn't reach her to speak with my children. I have tried reaching her parents to no avail.
But now that things are going well for me, my brother in law lifted me and I am back to business and I have a girlfriend we are getting married next year march by God's grace.
Now my ex is back in the picture making life difficult for my girlfriend. She is blackmailing her and bombarding her with nasty messages to the extend of humiliating her in public, calling her all sorts of names like husband snatcher etc. I am angry with her because she has left me when I needed her the most and this girlfriend stood by me with my poor conditions and now she wants to play victim and putting the blame on my girl.
I want to arrest her and let her rot in jail but on the other side I don't want to do it for the sake of our children who are 10 years and 7 years. I want to deal with her in a calm way because there are children involved . What do you think I should do? |

While I read this, my mind wandered if you were based in Abuja and you answered the towards the end. He wants an accommodation, not a relationship NovesaTillie: Good morning and merry Christmas everyone.
Please I'm in dilemma and really need some good advice. This guy and I have been on this relationship thing for 5 months now with occasional misunderstandings here and there. The first one was because he visited me and refused to go after the time he said he would leave, when he finally left I got back home from work only for the security to call me that I have a visitor at the main gate and behold it was him. I allowed him stay the night because he's a nice guy, really good in bed and also helps in the house to do stuff like wash the dishes and cooking.
Fast forward to December 15th we agreed he comes over and we spend the Christmas at my place then go to his place from 27th so we can enjoy the new year there. As we agreed, he came to my place on 17th of December and has not made any moves to leave or for us to go to his place. I am moved to create this thread because I got home from work yesterday and noticed more of his things have been arranged in the wardrobe with his shoes arranged by the front door..
Please how do I address this? I can't go on like this. He eats a lot. Snores also. Is relationship not supposed to be the other way around why is he moving into my apartment like I'm going to marry him We both stay in Abuja.
Mods please kindly move to Frontpage. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Re: A Company Didn't Accept My Resignation by AdeMoss: 6:44pm On Nov 15, 2021 |
Report to your Bank that you are not aware of that transaction, not expecting the funds and it should be reversed. That assists you with documenting the issue. Seeeker: I created a thread a while ago that a company didn't accept my resignation. See initial thread https://www.nairaland.com/6802980/company-didnt-accept-resignation
In that thread, I wrote about how I dropped resignation letter but the company kept mum until I left without making plans for handing over. I said that their 5k was left with me which they didn't say anything about and that my pension was never remitted. Now I don't care about the pension but I think they are trying to set me up.
Their 5k was initially left with me but they still sent the following month estacode to me, after I had left the company. I contacted the accountant that their 5k was left with me and they still sent a new month estacode of 10k to me. I asked him to provide the company's account number and I sent the money to the account which the company confirmed. They said nothing about pension but I don't care because I worked with them for just about 3 years.
After this, my phone was stolen and lost all contacts and details saved on my phone. Just two days ago, I checked my online accounts and email with someone's phone and I saw credit alert of November estacode from the company again. Now if I want to refund the money, what's in my account is no longer up to 10k because the account is on RED. I no longer live in that city and will need to connect with coworkers on Facebook to get accountant's phone number. I live from hand to mouth now and will need enough time to gather money to refund the money upon getting accountant's number.
This company may be trying to set me up... Should I report to the police before they will use same police to harass me? Should it be police PCRU or police in my current town?
Please, I will read replies later because it's not my phone I used to log in. Thanks! |

Business › Re: I Owe A Microfinance Bank 600k, They Threaten To Jail Me, I Need Your Advice! by AdeMoss: 1:32pm On Oct 27, 2021 |
You cannot be jailed. Call their bluff and ask for a meeting at their office and come with a payment plan. Their recovery tactic is based on exploiting ignorance, playing on fear, and shaming. OverCalculating: Hi Everyone,
I took a loan from a Microfinance bank sometime in 2019. The loan was N600,000 and I was asked to pay back on a monthly basis for 8 months. I had actually requested for 1.2million naira loan to get an important tool/machine to enhance my business but I was only offered 600k. With 600k I could not afford to get the tool, so I diverted the money to another business. After repaying a portion of the loan for few months, the business failed and I could not afford to payback afterwards. The business was meat distribution to households and offices. It failed because of inadequate structure that gave way for customers to receive products but not pay back. Debt killed the business. I have been struggling to survive since then.
At a point, I called the company early this year, when I got a new job that I know the months of my repayment have elapsed but I am ready to start paying a percentage of my new salary, but they insisted I should pay in full since my repayment is overdue.
Recently, I have been getting several threats from the company asking me to make full payment or else the case will be reported to the police and I would be jailed for absconding with the company's money. I know I am indebted to them but I can't afford to refund all the loan now since I am only managing to live with a job that I am doing now which I earn 40k salary. My concern now is that I need clarifications from the legal practitioners, IT experts and public prosecutors in the house on the following:
1. Is this case truly a criminal case as they constantly remind me or is it a civil case?
2. Can the Police actually track my location to arrest me as they threaten? Please note that I use a small Nokia phone and I am in a remote area outside Lagos.
3.What is the worse thing that can happen; so I can get ready for it because I am not financially buoyant now to cough out 600k now.
Thank you all. |
Family › Re: My Mum's Constant Insult Is Driving Me Crazy, It Is Time To Move Out? by AdeMoss: 3:12pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Where you born out of wedlock? Juliusdaughter: Let me just start somewhere Growing up as an introvert was difficult cos I guess my mum didn't understand my quite personality, she talks about how I am not 'sharp' how I am not fashionable and whatever else she cannot really relate to. I am in my mid 20s now and she still insults me when she is in the mood. It's funny how I am the only child she insults so much, I am her first born. I left my former work place due to Corona last year and I've been home since. I have trained as a tailor tho I don't have a shop or customer base yet.
She insulted me tonight again for cooking dinner late, she said why should I finish cooking dinner by past 7? Called me names and all that. Its been over a year that she went to the market last because I now do that, I make breakfast and dinner, I don't keep late night, I barely go out, yet she finds reason to talk me down.
She has started to insult my fiancé now too, she says he is poor and cannot take care of me, what has he achieved for himself? And the reason she isn't much against us is because she doesn't know if he will have money tomorrow. He isn't even jobless, it's just unfortunate that government don't pay their workers on time.
I don't have a single emotional connection with her, I have tried and I have failed. I think it's time to move out of the house and start my tailoring business. I don't have the finance to rent a shop and a house separately, so I want to rent a room and parlor and make it both my living and work space. Is this a good move? I cannot function properly in this house anymore. How do I build my customer base from working in the house? |

I observed the people that support taking up civil service jobs identify the same issues we have against civil servants attitude to work, as an advantage. For instance, How can inefficiency and low morale be an advantage? What you will learn in a year from a private organisation, you will not in10 years from the Nigerian civil service. What you do with that is up to you. Unless you want to be Fraudulent, private sector makes more. I do not work because I like the job/company, I want to get paid. Also, the fact that you cannot differentiate between astronomy and astrology says all I need to know about you. You definitely have very poor comprehension skills.
And yes, I only have strong opinions on subjects I'm well versed in. You on the other hand are a weak impostor and cuck.
You can go screw yourself. Cheers. You keep throwing insults and I keep making jokes. That should say a lot about our respective personality. Bro...I worked in the Bank you made erroneous claim, try it if it's easy. I never claimed to be anything and whatever you say will never affect me, it all depends on how I receive it and I do not give your thoughts/view/perception of me any premium. Every mail received is confidential and whatever reservation you have should be taken up with the organisation and not to the public to judge. A matured way to handle it was to request if anyone staff in Access Bank was available to answer his questions and I am sure he would have received a favorable response. But no! We must report to social media first, the recipient later. |

Also, did you comprehend what I said about Access bank? Read carefully to understand not to retort.
Have a great week. I will insist, stop lying. I did 4 levels within 7 years and most average 3 within the period. You can be in the system for many years, and so? What did you achieve, MD? You remind me of people who start their complaints with "I was in the system for many years..." and soooooooo? A brief look at your posts and I observed you claim to be an expert to anyone that disagrees with your opinion. You have claimed to be a seasoned banker, physicist, astrologist, music head...you even claimed someone looked beautiful and she asked "have you seen my picture?" And your response was "No". Yet, you know she was beautiful, let me guess, you can read people's mind based on how they type. Japa jor! |
Career › Re: Access Bank 2021 Entry Level Recruitment by AdeMoss: 6:11am On May 24, 2021 |
TheRealestGuy: The only thing I'd say is that you should look inward for a career you want to go into, something you have passion for and follow it through.
You can start small, or working in a small org. and grow your career from there.
Do not go into banking just cos you need a job, you will be frustrated with the stagnation and lack of career growth cos the industry is messed up today. Are you prepared to work 6 - 7 days a week and get maybe one promotion in 8 years? Access bank is particularly notorious for their very poor work culture and stressful working conditions.
If you must go into banking, have a plan to save funds aggressively towards leaving naija for further education.
This is coming from someone who's been there and done that. THIS IS A LIE. FACT! Ask any one that works in a financial institution which bank has the fastest promotion rate and stop deceiving people. In 8 years an average staff would have been promoted at least 3 times. You don't have to believe me, next time anyone walk into a bank, try to guess the age of the Branch Manager by the look. |

Please don't fool yourself, restriction can be placed on suspicious transactions and the CBN have power to do so. The question should be, "who regulates the regulator" abumeinben: This reminds me of the case between US government and Apple over a man who the FBI wanted badly and they got his iPhone. FBI contacted Apple for the unlocking but Apple refused that it's the privacy and data protection policy of the company. FBI had to look for other means to break into the phone. One of the reasons Apple iPhone is highly trusted, sort of.
The bank has no right to freeze customer's account. I listened to Peterside on Arise TV and he confirmed this. Lawlessness has its root in this country's leadership and it sprouts in the media, military, Police force, civil service, and particularly in the courts.
I hope Access Bank loses this case |
