You will get a mail scheduling you for a phone interview. Not everyone will get this mail though, even though you might have passed.

Those that fail the tests were mailed already, knew 2 people in the category. As for others, it is now the real review start, after which they will contact those who are closer to whatever it is they needed.

Goodluck to us all, it's not a do or die, don't throw anxiety over it guys. What will be will be, just give it your best try, and never stop dreaming.

Thanks a lot

thanks for this information, I'm really glad . I want to start the process and my husband and kids ll b involve, what's the first step first ? I guess hubby and I will have to write the IELTS first before any step?
I have gone through the Canada express entry thread and most of the abbreviated words are confusing me .I dont understand what most people are saying there that was why I wanted to use an agent

Smiles...its no problem ma...

Yes ,You and hubby will write IELTS and then immediately go start ur ECA- Educational Credential Assessment for you and your husband. ..Evaluate your highest qualifications ...if u have bsc and MSC .evaluate only your msc...

The ECA can take up to 3 months or less depending on your university... You tell the skul to send your transcript to either WES or ICES depends on ur choice...

Also for the IELTS,pls give it your best shot especially the listening aspect...cos from my observation ,that aspect drops ones marks a lot...

Then, also for Proof of Fund(POF) for living expenses.Depends on the total no of ppl involved in the process... I.e. you, your husband and kids..if its a family of 6(4 kids, hubby n u) u need approximately 9 million for that .....meaning,you need to present a 6 month bank statement showing minimum of #9m ...

You will be spending approximately #1.3m for processing for 6 of u.....

So when your IELTS result is out and ur ECA is ready, just go to CIC website and fill in the form for ur interest, then there is a cut-off points for ITA(Invitation To Apply) which is arnd 440 ...then if you meet the points for the draw, you will be invited to apply...

Pls lemme stop here

Feel free to ask your questions pls....

wow .I didnt even know it takes this long ,and some agent will say 4-6months , this people are so full of lies. only God can save us from Nigeria Agents

Express entry process is done and dusted maximum of 8 months...Infact most times its average of 6 months once all needed docs are ready..IELTS results,ECA and co....if u av those 2 already go start now this January.. By September /October you will be in cannyland....

Just budget #600k roughly ,for all processes ,if u are doing it fr yourself n not including ur hubny or kids or wife..but rem to have roughly #3.6m as proof of living expenses fund sha....

Stay 4 years straight in cannyland and apply fr citizenship..... Then u can now come back to naija...but u v given your kids lifetime opportunities, that's if u include them in ur application....

Note'..You dont need an agent for the process at all..... You can do it yourself...

Are you blessed?lolz

Hey guys, i know i was supposed to post a new balance this week, but holidays no be small thing o. You have to get gifts for family, friends and so on. So i have to take a break from saving for the next 2 weeks. However, my wife decided to give me 2 of her paychecks to make it up in January, so we are still on track. I decided not to travel to the US again, but instead to spend my holidays in Canada. Return ticket to New york is like $700 and we are 2. Other interesting cities in US was just about the same price. It will cost over $2500 just to spend the holiday in US. Myself and wifey decided to plan a holiday for early next year. Infact i got a return ticket to Singapore for $700, same price for tickets to Seoul. Its crazy how fares are so expensive this period, well its expected.
I will be doing a road trip to Calgary this holiday and i will document with some pictures and put them on here. By the way, Happy holidays to everyone.

Wow...that's awesome ...happy holiday too

You said something about running an open course before MSC,what do u mean by that pls

You also suggested considering skuls like uni Manitoba or Saskatchewan for the MSc... (For a 2:2 grade grad)...are finance /banking jobs easy to get there being smaller Town's

Lol, paying domestic tuition doesn’t correlate with CGPA in any way though. Don’t think they factor in residency status when they make the general rules but I suppose if there are candidates on the same level, they might then consider citizens/P.R. first. Just opining smiley

Lolzz..yes...I meant to type *and* not *cos*...

Sure, cgpa issue is completely different from tuition.

If you dont mind going to smaller provinces to study, i think University of Saskachewan and Memorial university of newfounland can easily admit. Also it may be wise to take some open courses from universities in Canada which can boost your GPA, then you can go ahead and apply to better universities.

What do u mean open courses please .....is it all those pre-masters courses..... How about if one does PGD in say Seneca or Fanshawe and then proceed for MSC with the PGD certificate....

Also,I feel Saskatchewan isn't viable for someone with a finance banking background

quick question

Having known that Canada rarely admits 2:2 grads for msc/MBA from the student visa thread n from those university's admission requirements page....

After Landing in Canny as a PR,can they consider taking a 2:2 grad of say 3.3cgpa for MSC/mba......cos I learnt the tuition will be paid as domestic student not international std...
