But on a thread about stanbic ...someone's said they don't pay education allowance and some other allowances that banks give upfront yearly.......could that be reason for their high pay...

Yes I know of few friends of mine. Although it depends on school and course. You may need to take your time to read up on the 5 recognised ECA bodies and also go an extra mile in reaching out to them for clarity before beginning the evaluation process.

Thanks alot for your response....Read about the evaluating bodies but they did not give specific info, that's why I am looking for someone that has the experience...pls are your friends on nairaland Thanks

kiss kiss kiss kiss
MackyNaija:
None of the above made the cut.... cry
We had planned for a single story, 3 or 4 bath but as we begin the waka, our eyes begin chuck grin

Online advertised prices are $20k to $50k different from what the final end price will be.
Some builders sell the lots separately (Hidden Oak - $45k to $80k for a lot cry )
The communities we checked have lot premiums between $5k to $25k, adds to the house price, upgrades further adds more.

Most likely, we'll be doing a 4 bed, 3 bath, 2 story. cool
Stay tuned for pictures wink ...
The home buying market is different from what it has ever been.. We should have a solid headway (models for viewing, construction for other buyers or actual lot availability/permit for this home plan) in the next 60 days. Can't wait!!! kiss

Before end of June 2022, construction suppose don complete. cool

Thanks so much.... I understand that CIBN has a branch in Canada .so I was thinking I could take advantage of the networking from the association. And for the job roles are they particular to Toronto alone or also other cities like Edmonton,Calgary and co.

Thanks once again

CanadianNaija:

CIBN is the most useless banking certification anyone can think of achieving. It's useless in Naija so imagine how much more useless it is when you leave the shores of the country.

You don't need to go back to school for banking since you have the experience already, you'll just have to decide what area of banking you want to apply to when you arrive.
Do you want to deal with investments, mortgages, treasury etc. It will determine wether you should start studying for CSc or IFC (which most new comers use as an in for financial advisor, financial planner jobs), or if you should just face your CFA.

Thank you!
Yes, Kaplan did it for me in B2. I realized Kaplan had a few details Ashranti didn't have....which would not have been a bother for accounting guys but it was for me.
I just stayed with Kaplan for B3 and B4.

On the other hand, I think there are easier/cheaper options for a 2nd certificate you can explore now, if accounting doesn't work for you. Just read through the express entry thread and weigh your options.

Please can you give example of the cheaper options

Find the attached as the requirements.
Right now, you don't need transcripts for M.Sc. Transcripts is only for Ph.D.
O Levels requirements is 5 credits which MUST include Economics/commerce, English Language and Mathematics.

Very possible. My friend went to one of the newly licensed commercial Bank as a contract staff and he was given ET. He had 4 years of marketing Experience before. Another former colleague got that too though in compliance department. Most times they give you ET rank as you can't negotiate because of the contract issue. However with favour and connect you can get ABO depending on years of experience.
