If can even apply, literally, from.the airport as soon s you land. grin

On a serious note I'll advise you settle down a little, like getting some basic things done, such as opening an account, having an apartment, phone number, health card and all that. But it doesn't really require much.

Also, say for instance, either of the partner, if you're two, is working, they'll need your partner's pay slip. And one very important thing is an evidence that you actually live in Ontario which your health card or lease agreement should be able to cover.

Let me know if there's any other information you need
1)What of for a newly wedded couple without kids that just land without jobs ..maybe they both wants to go back to skul e.g PGD/MSC ... will they be given the Loan n grant...

2) do they pay the money into your bank account as cash or OSAP pays straight to the school emg Seneca,Humber college etc.

Tnx

Since one is a PR, one can move around freely in Canada. No restrictions. But one would keep these two things in mind

1. There is no equivalent of OSAP in Calgary. I believe you'll have more loan than grant in Alberta, compared to Ontario where I hear they have more grant than loan.

2. Part of the reason for schooling is to build a network. Hence is advisable to school where you want to work, for easier plugging into the labor market.

Just my unverified opinion.
Thanks ma.....the reason for opting for Calgary is cos of Calgary cheaper cost of living e.g rent compared with Toronto.......but then from adverts, YouTube n co,I have seen that Toronto has more Finance companies n Banks compared with Calgary....that's the reason for schooling in Calgary n then hunting in Toronto or searching from Calgary n then move once job clicks...

Hello Family.....

For someone with a banking experience in microfinance bank(Accountant/Fund transfer officer) fr a year and Outsourced staff with a commercial bank as marketer for like 2yrs...Bsc in Accounting (2:2 grade).....and will be landing as a PR .... please

1)what step can he take to get into Canada University for Msc or MBA considering they take majorly 2:1

2)what step can he take to build a banking career over there if he choose to Land in Calgary..and wants a unit like finance, Operations,Internal control etc...

3)Since he will be around 27 yrs when he land, can he still go to pgd and then use the cert to apply for his MBA or msc (the Masters is majorly to boost chance of going into core banking)

4)Apart from Toronto (due to increasing rent n cost of living),is calgary feasible fr such career or likes of Brampton n co

5)Can one land and study say msc or pgd in Calgary then after grad, travels to Toronto to job hunt.....(msc will either be in finance or management or business analysis)

Thanks much....@blackbuddy,Salford,cannymum

Depends on his consultant used. When I did mine, it came to about £2000 including the fees charged by the immigration consultants used by my company. There's also NHS surcharge. Some companies do not ask you to sign a bond but mine did. That should not stop you from leaving. He should ensure that his US visa is secured first before moving.
Oh okay...thanks a lot sir...why he is just concerned is that its a two-year rotational graduate trainee programme with HSCB..so he is thinking they might force him to finish the 2 yrs training first before he can opt out......

And for the £2000 fees or whatever cost his own is, since it is at the point of leaving that he will pay such amount...and he as worked fr some months,he should be able to have £2k in his savings....

Thanks once again sir

1. Yes
2. Yes (If you signed a bond to refund visa fees then you may have to repay - if they ask you to)
3. No
Pls,how much is the visa fees,£928 right?? and do all companies do the bond thing

Lexusgs430:
On the contrary, your answer to question 3 is a combo of both......

If attempting to enter the UK again is on a sponsorship visa, you would have to declare circumstances of previous application.......

Depending on how good you know your onions, another company might think you might Maradona them........
Well,he doesn't plan coming to uk again to work from our discussions...he even loves living in the states than U.K ..he came to uk basically cos he felt they have good educational reputation...
