Depends on his consultant used. When I did mine, it came to about £2000 including the fees charged by the immigration consultants used by my company. There's also NHS surcharge. Some companies do not ask you to sign a bond but mine did. That should not stop you from leaving. He should ensure that his US visa is secured first before moving.

Oh okay...thanks a lot sir...why he is just concerned is that its a two-year rotational graduate trainee programme with HSCB..so he is thinking they might force him to finish the 2 yrs training first before he can opt out......

And for the £2000 fees or whatever cost his own is, since it is at the point of leaving that he will pay such amount...and he as worked fr some months,he should be able to have £2k in his savings....

Thanks once again sir

3. No

Pls,how much is the visa fees,£928 right?? and do all companies do the bond thing

On the contrary, your answer to question 3 is a combo of both......

If attempting to enter the UK again is on a sponsorship visa, you would have to declare circumstances of previous application.......

Depending on how good you know your onions, another company might think you might Maradona them........

Well,he doesn't plan coming to uk again to work from our discussions...he even loves living in the states than U.K ..he came to uk basically cos he felt they have good educational reputation...

Sir,please I want to get a clarification from you as I guess you have bn in Uk for sometime.
Let's say after MSC,someone managed to get a 2 yrs tier-2 sponsorship by a company(consulting/bank) and then the person after working for 10 months got a job with Google in San Francisco,USA.....

1)Can the person resign from his uk job after working just 10 months instead of 2 yrs.

2..Will the company allow him to resign

3).Will this have affect on his chances of entering u.k in the future

Thank you sir .

[quote author=Lexusgs430 post=77883223]My latest savings escapade......

I eventually settled for this Legend, but the navigation screen was fuzzy/faulty.....

Seller agreed to fix, but would increase selling cost by £1000 (this was for repair, not replacement)........

I contemplated replacing with android auto, for more enhanced functionality, but i might lose some functionalities, like voice activation etc etc...... ..

I tried to source in the UK, could not find OEM anywhere. My only choice was buying from Honda directly (£1499.00) before VAT.......

A breakers yard in the UK i contacted, only just replied me, he has now listed it on ebay for £178 + & 25 PP..... Thanks but no thanks............

I went yankee surfing, got it at an American breakers yard....

Total cost....... $37.00

My pal is in the states, so he brings it back FOC........

After panel interview I got a call for the direct bank interview within one week. At first I went to the wrong branch for the interview and funny enough they were expecting someone that same day and I was interviewed, but as God would have it, while I was on my way to another interview almost a week later, the proposed branch I was originally supposed to visit called me, asking why I haven't shown up for interview. I explained that I was present for the interview, then I realized that I made the mistake. Then we fixed another interview for that same day. After the interview I was heading to, i branched to the attend the bank interview, glad that I had a second chance cos the 1st mistaken one didn't go too well. Almost a week later, on a Friday evening, I was asked to go for medicals the next day, and documentation started on the following Monday. After which I got my deployment letter and reported immediately. Na so the thing go

Please what's the pay like.......are you TT or Marketing

My bro, to be honest the ball is in your court. Increasing your chances in your chosen career or settling for cheaper province, house etc. Dont get me wrong, calgary is a great city with opportunities. Mortgage prices in ontario is on d average 400 -700k on the average, mayne excluding Toronto. This is not dissimilar to Calgary. Please do your research and be more informed so that you can make informed decisions. Weigh the opportunity cost - alternative of higher chances in the financial sector fore gone for doing a job u may not like and/or barely making enough for your mortgage because people told you it is a cheaper city? Is it enough for this trade-off? Do the maths and then draw your priorities...career / cost of living / house in the order that best suits your interest.

As per your last question, check for the location/province of such programs when they're advertised, that should give you a clue. I'm not familiar with that tbh.

Thanks a lot...Toronto tins.

If you're not getting hired as a Management trainee in one of these banks, then you must possess a skill relevant to the bank. Easiest way to navigate this is to think about the guys that work in Bank Head offices in Nigeria, what skills do they possess? Risk management, audit, Data analysis/MIS etc. If you're selling yourself as a fund transfer or teller, then you may have to settle for Financial advisor as a means of getting in, and then rising through the ranks.

PS: Banking hub + maximum opportunities in this field is Toronto...

Hmmn...am so grateful for the reply sir....I optioned Calgary cos I felt its cheaper to settle there due to cheaper cost of living ,buying house in future n the likes...compared with Toronto where cost of living is huge.....so I felt probably one could get Finance/bank jobs too in Calgary...

As per the management trainee...I have done much work on scotiabank ,CIBC ,TDbank n RBC programs n I saw that they have something like our own graduate trainee programme here where you choose either corporate finance, wealth mgt ,n the likes with trainee fr 12-18 months ....and also internships....how do u see this

The above link will answer the question on difference. I know if you are converting from ACCA to CPA, your added designation to CPA is CGA (General Accounting)while if you are converting from CIMA your added designation to CPA is CMA (Management Accounting) For CA, i think it is for those that are in public accounting.

Then for changing path, it is difficult unless with internal reference. The best is to get in with the skills you have (foot in the door) and then change within the company. They normally recruit based on experience and not what you want unfortunately. But you can give it a try. If you can defend the finance skills in your resume then good. Meanwhile Tax is also a good one over here.

The career path for finance analyst is attractive. From finance analyst to senior finance analyst to finance manager to controller/chief financial officer to CEO.. Most CFOs end up being CEOs because they work closely with CEOs and have understood the challenges of the role. So it really makes sense changing your path. And while at this you try and get a Canadian based masters degree.

My posting is not cordinated because i am multitasking presently.

Hello ppl..

I have a friend we were chatting recently and he told me that he will be relocating from U.k to Canada once he clocks 1 year at his present place of work.....Dude finished MSC financial mgt January this year...got a job as an analyst in Barclays bank...but he said that the pay is small plus he is considering the fact that he will have to wait 5 yrs to get stay in the U.K,..immigration rules changes anytime...Below age 28..and he also said that since he will be getting married soon sponsoring wife to uk ..give birth there n kids can't even get citizenship n all that doesn't fancy him...so he as been telling me he will do the E.E. thing n port to CA early next yr.......

How do you see this move senior ppl,

2)He worked 2 yrs in a bank teller n customer service bfr porting to U.k....I told him Calgary or Toronto is cool fr him as a finance pezin......But is like ppl here don't really support Calgary fr finance/bank jobs
