Thanks for your interest, the most important thing is to confirm the authenticity of the registrants, to delete wont be that difficult as I can devote time do that. The most annoying thing is that they keep up making drug related adverts/links on the site.
Well, I once had same problem some two years ago when I was running a blog. Though not a script, I built the blog myself. I solved it by putting captcha on the registration page for some weeks, after which i removed it.

You can have an idea of where these bots are coming from using Awstats in your host cpanel.

You can also block ip addresses you perceive are bots from the records provided by Awstats.

Best regards

Thanks for your response. How do I place a captcha on the registration page and what do I do with all the registered accounts
Last I worked on SMF was some years ago. I will suggest you check around user registration settings or general settings.

To delete already created account, it will be easier if the user's id are ordered. That's we have ids 1,2,3,4,5,6.... 30 for example. You write an sql statement like this and execute from your phpmyadmin interface.

DELETE FROM tbl_name WHERE id>0 AND id<31.

id is auto increment and an index.

But if you have real users in between, it will be difficult using that method.

Hope that helps
WebmastersRe: Please Help I Am Confused by Adesege(m): 8:44am On Dec 20, 2015
That maybe the work of bot spam.

You can put a captcha on the registration page to verify if user is human before registering a user.

You don't really need lot of SQL schemantics here. Since you know already that type of answer to give provide the options, then you do like this:
Let's make the names of the checkbox in your form be: 1,2,3,4and5 respectively.

$c1=$_POST['1'],$c2=$_POST['2'],$c3=POST['3'],$c4=POST['4'], $c5=$_POST["5"];
$q=mysqli_query($urConn,"select * from symptoms"wink;
while($fQ=mysqli_fetch($q))
{
echo '<input type="checkbox" value="'.$fQ[0]." /> '.$fQ[1];
}

if(isset($c1)&&isset($c2)&&isset($c5)) //echo "You have malaria";
else if(isset($c1)&&isset($c2)&&isset($c4)&&isset($c5)) //echo "You have typhoid";
else if(isset($c1)&&isset($c3)&&isset($c5)) // echo "You have Measles;
That's a bad way to write the code. It won't be easy to maintain

Mr Adesege pls answer comprehensively and urgently.

Hello, what you will want to do is group the symptoms, and sickness table with the 'sick_symp' table.

For example, you can have a table called sickness with columns; ID, name. ID is the table's id.

You can have another table called sick _symp with sickness_id as a foreign key.

Symptoms_id is a foreign key here which will take the id of the symptoms table.

So you can, for example, have a row like this

SYMPTOMS table

ID Name
1 I have an head ache
2. My anckle aches
3. My eyes hurt
4. I am vomiting once every day
5. I have an eczema

And SICKNESS table

ID Name
1 Malaria
2 Typhoid
3 HIV

sick_symp table

ID sickness_id symptoms_id
1 1 2
2 1. 1
3 1 5

Then you can do a join statement on symptoms table, sickness table and sick_symp.

mysql_query("select * from sick_symp ss
INNER JOIN symptoms sm ON ss.symptoms_id=sm.ID
INNER JOIN sickness se ON se.ID=ss.sickness_id.

You can get the sickness name and id with that.

You should be familiar with the join statement anyway.

Well if you are referring to my post about a method returning any data type, then I will say we are saying the same thing.

A method is also a function. A function can return any data type not necessarily boolean data type.

Data types maybe string, integer, null, true, false, etc

I was actually waiting for the guy who started this thread to say why the Yorubas do not want to secede. He ended up saying nothing

"The Yoruba Nation, not out of fear, knows that any secession will lead to war and cos we are peace loving and educated, we ruled secession out. It will cost the Yoruba nation nothing to break outta Nigeria but of what usefulness will that be?"

Just look at what this guy wrote above. Yoruba secession will lead to war? Who is going to fight who? Will an Igbo man like me fight to keep a Yorubas in 'one Nigeria'? Will the minorities of Southern a Nigeria fight to keep Yorubas in Nigeria? Only the North might fight to keep Yorubas in Nigeria. Basically, the Yoruba nation have suspended their right to self determination because of their fear of the North. They remember Biafra and how the Igbos lost millions of souls and they don't want to pay that high price for their own sovereing nation. They don't have the backbone to fight the Northerners like Igbos did in the Biafran war. I can understand all this as an Igbo man.

I just hope the Yorubas now understand why most Igbos consider them unrepentant cowards

You got it wrong.

When i said it will lead to war, i meant a replica of the 1967 civil war.

You need to understand that we are not cowards as you portray.

Everyone is blinded by the civil war but no one has ever thought of what led to the civil war.

When the Igbos planned a coup that killed Sir Ahmadu Bello, 'Master', in Half of a Yellow sun and other Igbos were all rejoicing.

Until the northerners struck, they called them evil. They said the North started it first.

From the beginning, Biafra was founded on greed, and lust for power.

A brief look into the history will do you good.

According to aticles on the 1967 civil war,What led to agitation of Biafra is nothing but greed-OP.

Op the indiscriminate killing of tens of thousands of Igbo civilians in the north and other places with the support of federal government means nothing to you but greed?Make you fear God oh.
One of the character in a movie, Iris, said something. He said, in politics, everything has been planned before hand. What you see is just the actualization of the plan.

What I'm saying in essence is that, the killings of the 1966 failed coup was what led to the 1967 civil war.

Raumdeuter has explained that. You can scroll up to read what he has to say.

I have read different versions of the accounts of the civil war.l have read an account by Frederick Forsyth who happens to be the BBC correspondence during the war.I have also read some version of some northern military commanders who were active in the war.these versions were very clear on the political developments from post independence up to the first coup,the killing of the Igbos,the failure of the Aburi accord and declaration of Biafra that led to the civil war .
Now each time I come across anything written by a Yoruba person ,it's usually filled with lies and half truths.it's usually about oil,igbo domination and other nonsense.Obj in one his books even stated that Ojukwu wanted to rule Nigerian and because he could not,he decided to break it into pieces.chaii.
Then you must be abreast of what happened with your knowledge.

Do you know what initiated the civil war? Do you know what really happened?

I've also read many versions of the war but these stories never failed to mention that it was the 1966 failed coup that escalated to the civil war.

They never failed to mention how Nzwogwu led other Soldiers into Sir Ahmadu Bello's official residence. How they killed all the Northerners there leaving the top igbo officials.

Chimamanda Adichie also spoke extensively on it.

It's not a Yoruba thing. I've noticed that the Igbos always twist history to favour them.

Yorubas want "one Nigeria" so that the igbos will remain in it to minimize the influence of Hausa-Fulani in Yorubaland.

Let igbos secede today and come back here tomorrow to see if any yoruba man will shout "One Nigeria" again.
You think so? Yoruba also has its own tactics of fighting for secession. We didn't just publicize it.

I strongly believe the fight for secession is out of greed. Those that are clamouring for it, will do same as what is being done in Nigeria.

Like I said, it's like a merry-go-round.

O.P stop patronising yourself. The only region that can stand on its own is the SS. the Yoruba nation has ONLY Lagos. And of course Lagos is the former capital of Nigeria which is the reason for the status it has today. And even that Lagos is far from sustainable.

What will the Yoruba nation lose?? Oil allocations. plus poor sea freight returns. A lot more too.
You think the Yoruba Nation has alot to lose? I don't think so.

We have Lagos, fine. What of Bitumen in Ondo? Quarry in Ogun? Etc.

We have natural resources if maximized will give a high returns.

Remember that if we focus on our border at Idiroko, that can be a source of revenue to the Federal Govt.

If the Yoruba Nation can make policies that affect its citizens, we are good to go.

A quick look into the National conference report will give you a better understanding.
