We are getting to the permanent site soon so hold on and hold strong, it must surely end in praise for us all. 2019 we are meeting our precious ones in good health with plenty money for account.

Speak, speak and speak to ur baby positively. Talk to God always and don't forget to read motivational books if u have any.


If u have not register for antenatel pls go and register now it is very important, and don't forget to attend class and routine check ups it is very important.

If u have checked ur baby's gender tell us oo so i can update.


Eat healthy and drink a lot of water... Take ur fruits and vegetables.. Do not forget ur drugs oo

But pls on this CS matter, what are the advantages to elective cs?

Is it an old wives tale that recovery period is slower, it's more difficult to get back into shape as per get back your flat tummy, and leaves more history on you e.g plenty stretch marks on tummy especially after several children.

I don't have anything against CS, but I've always assumed VD is more preferab le because of these issues above. Hence can't really understand motive for elective cs.

Pls mamas that have done both VD and CS will be nice if you can chook mouth especially wrt recovery period after birth.

For my first, I had to have an emergency cs 38 hours after I was induced. Labor wasn't progressing and baby's heartbeat was dropping with every contraction.
Surgery started by 11pm. Baby was born 11:15pm but I didn't come out till 1:30am. Doc said something about using special nylon to seal my wound so I won't have a scar. I was awake all through.
Now to recovery:
At 8am, I was made to stand and take about 10 foot steps to get to my bed. It was excruciating but in my head not as bad as the labor pain I went through. Later that evening I was made to walk to the next room and back. I could also take tea. By the next morning, I had graduated to pap and by evening rice. I was encouraged to always take short walks and not sit at a place. It was painful but it got easier.
I was discharged two days later. My friends and neighbors couldn't believe I just had surgery. No stretch marks and by two weeks after I could walk straight. Only my scar reminds me of the surgery.
Surgery scares me just cos its surgery. Vd is not the easiest choice either. They both have their pros and cons. But the joy of seeing your baby after takes away any residual pain. In all, follow your doctors instruction.

Hello to all the waddling mamas, how pushing ministry? May God make it easy for us. Congratulations to every mama that has put to bed.
My fellow team May, how are you all?
E be like say I done port go join team April. I went for my normal antenatal and after a scan was carried out, Dr looks at me and asks if I am experiencing bleeding. I told him it only happened in my early pregnancy after I fell down the stairs but since then I have been fine. Then he says I have placenta previa and if it doesn't change, I will have to have a planned cs and baby will come early cos they won't want me to fall into labor. Me that was targeting May 1 for delivery cos its a public holiday.
Pls is there anyone that has gone through this before, how early did you have your baby?

Please help me praise this AWESOME God that moves mountains and does wonders. Delivered my beautiful baby girl at 2:20am today through VD with no tear. Baby healthy and weighing 2.5 kg, mummy is overjoyed and daddy is super happy! Birth story to follow soon! Let me try and sleep!

Praise God with me! I had my baby, a boy at 5:15 am weighing 3.9kg without tear. Birthstory when I'm stronger na sleep get me so.

I have lost my baby again!!!
I eventually went for the cervical cerclage on Sunday and it was done successfully.
Only for my water to burst yesterday night at about 8:30pm.
We rushed to the hospital and was told it had happened again!
My doc had to loosen the stitch and induced me ..
I was in labor since then till 11am tiday and my baby boy was brought out dead!!!!
My God, my Hubby's tears is killing killing me!
He is trying to be strong for me, but i can see it clearly that he is broken!!!!!!
Mamas, please pray for us!

Am so sorry you had to go through this again. It will never happen again in Jesus name. I can only imagine what you had to go through but am already crying. Pls take heart dear sister. God will give you the one that will stay. Pls be strong.

Hello, good day mothers.
Am team August, was planning to announce my bfp this month when i woke up and went to pee, i wiped and saw tiny clots of blood, have gone to do scan and was told they can see the sac but no foetus, i dont av any cramps n the clots is very tiny. Am really worried and sad, pls has any1 experienced it? The Dr asked me to wait till next week for it to flush out himself? Am soo scared.

Pls don't be in a hurry to take any decisions. I fell down the stairs when I was about 6 weeks gone and I started bleeding. The first sonographer we visited spent almost 1 hour consoling me and asking me to accept whatever result he gave as the will of God. Then he told me there was no more baby but only retained product. Oh how I cried. We called my mil and she just said I should go home and rest. We did a vaginal scan two days later at another centre and they could see the yolk sac. Am now 23 weeks gone. Pls wait a week and repeat the scan preferably the vaginal scan. It shows more details in early pregnancy than cervical scan. Its well with you and your baby.

Please permit me! you got pregnant while still weaning your baby. I thought this isn't possible and that the period of weaning is a reliable way of family planning.

abeg, sabi mamas make una chuck mouth educate me and other curious minds.

Even though I was exclusively breastfeeding, my period came back six weeks after baby. Then it disappeared and returned at six months and became regular. My neighbor didn't get hers back until she stopped breastfeeding at 15 months. So breastfeeding isn't a reliable way of family planning. It works for some and it doesn't for others.

Hello mama's. Thanks for all the mentions, I couldn't reply all but I showed my heartfelt appreciation by liking all the comments. Thanks all for the love and concern, may God be with you and your LO.

I've been on absolute bed rest since Wednesday (the doctor warned me not to do any chores). I was given medications and progesterone injection as well. I take d injection every 3days and I still have more shots to take.I did a scan immediately and I started shedding tears of joy when my LO was playing all through d scan. He was rolling, turning, putting his hands and legs up and the fetal heartbeat was good. I was so happy.

The spotting stopped immediately on Wednesday after d first injection shot. This morning, I started spotting again, this time the blood came out with a colourless liquid. I cried and kept asking why all this is happening to me when my baby is 17+ weeks already. I never experienced spotting from d first day I conceived, why now? Why me? I'm in the hospital now and I'll be going for another scan in a reputable lab tomorrow, the doctor referred us to the lab. It seems I'll be on admission too. I know God will be with me and every mama here.

You will not bury your child. I know it's hard to stay strong but plz try. All will be well and you will carry your baby alive and healthy and at full term.

Yet any day I decide to stop, that's the day she will fall while learning to walk and everybody will be shouting "give her breast", when she's walking well, you can stop. Now she's walking well,we are still giving her the breast.
But I will stop before or after she turns one.

Thank you for the roll call capo. I no longer have those severe hunger pangs and I don't throw up when I am hungry. Excess saliva has been dealing with me for two weeks now but it's also reducing. In all its been great so far compared to my first where I went from 60kg - 45kg in three months and people were wondering what terrible illness I might have contacted.
Lastly I am still breastfeeding my 11month old. . I don't know how to stop?

I am hereby reporting for team May. Edd is May 6. No Ms thank God, only serious hunger pangs. I eat every three hours and I throw up if I stay hungry for too long.

As for weaning, I don't really know. Maybe you can start by gradually replacing each breast feed with other foods. Na that night own tire me pass. Maybe try formula when she wakes at night.

Plz mamas in the house, how do I wean my baby? She's ten months old and I recently found out am preggy again. She sucks on demand and wakes every hour or so at night to suck. But during the day she eats solids well. I don't know whether to stop immediately or gradually. I heard one can use bitterleaf on breast but don't know how safe it is. Plz don't pass me by. Thank you in advance.

I must really commend moth tail in the house. I remembered this thread got me through my last pregnancy cos I was a serious jjc. God will surely bless us, we shall all deliver safely, our children sources of pride and God will provide with all that is needed to train them to the best and highest level possible.

My issue is, I’m seriously trying to get to the pregnancy mode. This is my second missionary journey. What is the next step to take, what should I do and not do.

Yes o. Am team May. Congratulations on your bfp. I just found out today after testing just to rule out pregnancy. I had what I thought was my period last week but have felt funny since then. Calculating from the period before last week I am 5.2 weeks and edd is may 6. Also my second journey. May God make it easy for us.

At my last antenatal on Nov 11, my doctor told me he would induce me latest by 15th cos I had passed my due date according to period. I decided to do it on the 14th. Induction started 8am in the morning with the insertion of a tablet. He wanted me to get to 4cm before starting the drip but I was in pain from Tuesday morning till Wednesday night and I was slowly progressing. I can't count the number of cervical checks sef and By the time I got to 4cm, my baby's heartbeat was faster with each contraction.
So by 11pm on Wednesday, I was wheeled into the theatre cos baby was getting distressed. She came at 11:15pm with a very tired cry and weighing 2.7kg. she had to be on oxygen for a few minutes and then she was fine.
I pray for all ttc women out there, may God remember you speedily. To all the waddling mamas safe delivery. Congratulations to all Mama's that have put to bed. May our children continually be a source of joy to us.

Cappo I dey o. Thanks for being there for us. Peeping spirit has refused to leave me even after registering but I promise to comment more often.

I feel some mild cramps sometimes but it goes after a while. Pelvic pain and heart burn is constant now and just today rib pain joined the list. I am just glad it will soon be over.

I have a promotional interview to attend on the 25th in Abuja and edd is 27th. I pray baby comes way before then.
