I am from Kogi State and I can tell you that Yahaya Bello is a very bad "RULER". Anytime you want to talk about Yahaya Bello as a leader and the citizens, just imagine a womaniser toasting a girl. The girl are Nigerians while the guy is Bello. Everything is packaging. My favourite candidates in APC are Osinbajo and Amaechi but Tinubu anyday, anytime over GYB, twice on a Wednesday!

No doubt he's a good strategiser, and more dangerous than Tinubu. We should never allow someone like that near the corridor of power.

Most Kogites dislike Bello (except his errand boys) because he doesn't pay salaries, more or less a dictator and few projects to his name( though he did built a hospital and a bridge). His overall performance on a scale of 10 is 3.

He is actually one of the least performing governors in Nigeria today. Don't take my words for it. If you think I'm not being truthful, take a trip to 5 Kogi local governments and do check things out yourself. A Yahaya Bello Nigeria will be the worst thing to ever happen to us.

His coming into power was an accident of fate but his conduct and his actions while in power have shown his true character.

He only mouths democracy but does not believe in it. The worst abuse of democratic institutions so far has been witnessed under his watch and actively aided by him. From the legislature to the judiciary, several officials have been on the receiving end of his undemocratic actions and policies.

He even proscribed trade union activities in all tertiary institutions across the state via a media pronouncement.

What is the current state of primary and secondary education in Kogi State? This would be a good point from which to start assessing Yahaya Bello's educational policy rather than a vague and obscure "scholarship" which is available to only a few and whose modalities are not publicly available.

He never withheld salaries on purpose. If you can remember, he had applied for access to bailout balance from the FG but the PDP had been on Buhari's neck not to give Bello the bailout balance.

Although, the PDP could be correct that an initial 20 billion bailout to the Kogi state government was squandered as no projects nor salaries could be said to have been managed with the funds. But then Bello had been asking for the bailout balance to clear salary arrears. He eventually got it and (if this news is anything to go by), then Bello is keeping to his word.

He has been receiving monthly allocations like clockwork. Why has he not paid salaries using those allocations? Why use the bailout which is a loan and will be repaid by future generations? Does it make sense to take a loan to pay salaries?

Funny thing is the criminal has been buying SUVs for idle vagabonds in the state.

Five - Six years after retirement, my dad is yet to receive his gratuity. Currently, he's still expecting over 12 months pension. Note that more than half of the few payments made in the last 2 years, Yahaya bello paid half.

Rather than pay e.g. April salary, the bastard will pay half of March, and half of April salary/pension, and then run to the media to claim full payment of 2 months salary.

If this man wins this election this time, I will certainly change my state of origin. I have all the evidence to testify against this criminal in any court, including the vagabonds he gave SUVs and ammunitions to terrorise his opponents. Some of them are well known in the society.

After this tenure, Yahaya Bello must be crucified and buried. He has committed too many crimes, he doesn't deserve to live among humans.

Brother! I can feel your pain. I recall how we were all enthusiastic when Bello was picked to 'inherit' the APC mandate. We all saw it as a chance to start on a clean slate and rewrite the story of our state. Unfortunately, he has turned out to be even worse than his predecessors.

Stop analysing politics from an emotional standpoint. That's what Igbos do that backfires. Look at the reality and prepare for it even if it's bitter. Dino would contest and when Igalas (Kogi East) refuse voting for him, he'll start screaming betrayal.

Next election, the Governor is coming from Kogi East. Bello would lose even in some parts of Kogi Central (Ebira land) but I'm not yet sure of Dino's fate cos he won't be given the APC ticket.

Kogi politics is very interesting but somewhat predictable if you have been following it.

I have always felt that the left hand ignition is inadvisable for security reasons. They keys could easily be removed by someone from outside the car.
