Dont worry Prof, Jonathan will be swept away in only one election. I know you are saying these because you want more money for INEC but please remember that Buhari will eventually probe you. |
Wicked government headed by the lowest IQ toffee they could find. They are to be swept out in February. |
myhoodlink:Sahara Reporters is not an enemy of the Nigerian State. It is an open enemy of PDP and President Jonathaan and it does not hide it. Please dont get it twisted. The army likes it when Sahara Reporters report their successes but hates it when theytell the negative. The PWC report is a national asset. If you dont want to see it and let the report be read in the national assembly because of ordinary Goodluck Jonathan then you have my sympathy maybe in the next life you should come as Oyinbo because this black man nature is working against your soul emancipation. |
Caseless:Jonathan is the local periwinkle they used to spoil the Yaradua soup. You can see clearly how leaders behave compared with how clueless misfits operate. |
Balkan:This is why you should read your history to find out that..there is nothing new in what this guy has written. It is not a new discovery and you have to be politically illiterate to even be moved by it. In the 80s when we were in university every Nigerian student was politically aware now they only become aware when people of their tribe become victims of deep rooted political forces brewing under the surface which TH y refuse to notice. Personally I will never vote GEJ because is own issue is one of serious personal lack of capacity for leadership. It is important o get him out of the way while we tackle more serious issues. Now on the different tribal attitudes to politics and governance. Let us give a background, Awo tried to be president about 3 OR 4 times and was opposed by the north with active support of the East ...and no it was not because the north was smarter. Abiola too won an election free and fair and was opposed by military officers of the north and it was not that they were smarter. The major problem with southern Nigeria is the lack of ideals and a concentration on materialism and short term gain and internal competition. The northern tribes are the most idealistic of all the tribes and it is not about religion, I have worked with Christian Hausas and even some rare Christian Fulanis. My conclusion ins no matter how much you want to deceive yourself about your education advantages over the north ,the nor(th has better mentality than southerners. You get the feeling that they are more easily motivated by something more than the self, more than personal monetary gain, more of ideals, more of religion, more of ideology, more of domination by their way of life .........that is their great strength. It is no surprise that they make good terrorists and suicide bombers. The Hausa Fulani man whose only property is the radio is not more intelligent than his landlord he only has a higher mentality than the Yoruba boss slaving away in some office telling himself that HIS life is better that the Maiguard who is politically more aware because h is tracking issue and networking with his people. The Ibo Man in particular does not understand the idealistic promptings of political participation. He does not understand it yet that it is not a pursuit of power to gain money, it is a pursuit of power to make your ideology and way of life dominant over another people. This is why most Ibos are now so scared of the emerging linkages between politics and religion. MUst brother, money dos not make the world go round, it is just a tool to get what you want, to make the world do your wish and indeed some very intelligent people without good mentality can bought two for one kobo. In order to solve our political problem, we have to forget tribes completely and destroy the linkage between money and politics. Let us have parties based on ideologies. I don't even mind religion based parties as long as there is no violence and forceful conversions. There are sophisticated religion based parties in India, Turkey, Israel and even in the US, the republican party has an influential fundamentalist Christian wing. When we have parties based on ideals then people of the right mentality get voted into office and inspire younger ones to develop same qualities. That is the unfortunate reason why voting for a Buhari might be better than Jonathan, he has an ideology. Jonathan is a shallow plant of some business men in the office of president and in most things he is in over his head because he does not know what he is doing. When I started observing him and listening to his interviews, I told people ''this man is empty but he will develop the Niger Delta'', this was because the lack of orientation was glaring and I just thought such people were of the builder type of leader. You won't believe my surprise that the Niger Delta is still the way it was and only militants are smiling. Now, that is the low mentality we are talking about. Jonathan has not articulated a national vision that unifies Nigeria because he is not capable of that at all. The transformation agenda is ridiculous if it is to build overpriced bridges and airports with borrowed money whilst a few people steal the national budget. What is Jonathan's socio political direction for Nigeria?, how does he define our essence?, What is the country about?, What is our foreign policy?..What are your dos and Don'ts in national life. |
goldfish80:The tank is to keep money. |
Jonathan is going to get into serious trouble in 2015. Elections or not, loss or win. I see a not so bright future for this President. |
The first thing that an APC government has to do is immediate rescue of the Niger Delta from militants. This has to be a multi pronged approach involving civil society empowerment programs backed by strong military presence including air surveillance throughout the region. Corruption would have to be completely eliminated from the Niger Delta JTF so that it can be effective. All developmental programs in the region should be fast tracked and must be made visible and impactful. The Jonathan government has been a disaster for the region, standing up militant billionaires in an atmosphere of poverty and leaving the collective aspirations of the people unachieved. |
What most people dont understand is that the President suffers from a very simple problem. It is so fundamental and basic that it sounds like one is being rude but the truth is very bitter. The President is a very FOOLISH man. Nigeria has had Christian presidents rulling cumulatively longer than muslim. Basic fact that can be verified. By the president casting the BH problem as muslims trying to get him out of office he made a serious error of judgment that will bite him hard im February. Boko Haram problem would have been different if another President had been in office be that president had been Odilli, Donald Duke, Uba or any other VP that Obj had smuggled to share the mandate with Yaradua. It is this basic truth that all other possible South East or South South presidents we should have had would have handled the whole situation differently that makes me mad at this president. Why would one man's term in office bring sp much hatred of the kind we never had with other christian presidents?. FOOLISHNESS is the answer. Wisdom is the only basic qualification for leadership and Jona is too self orientated to cultivate it. |
Kogi State |
mascot87:This is bad. There is a curse for adding or subtracting from the Bible. I dont know where to place your own sin. |
We need Buhari in this country |
divine2043:I am still in a daze reading this. You must be under 25 because of the ridiculousness of what you posted. The North does bloc voting is the only truth you have posted. To now say they will vote Jonathan because their Emirs will tell them so is very very childish. No Emit will tell anyone to vote against Buhari and we will soon see all these manifest during campaigns. Emits have been known to have been attacked by youths for even lesser offences than supporting Jonathan. Please try another route to justify Jonathan winning anything in the north and not this thing you posted. |
myhoodlink:Jonathan will not win anything. This guy has only won one election in his life rigged and manipulated by the same people currently against him. Please stop deceiving your self. It is only Buhari we are voting for or against. Buhari is the issue. Anticorruption and effective defence and security leader against those who perceive him as a sectional leader or islamocrat. Jonathan is just there to attract the voters who are scared not because he is a weighty challenge on his own merit. |

It is against the law to selectively insure a certain group of students this way. If you must do it let it meet fg procurement guidelines. Competitive bidding and many companies involved. |
fx45:Why then are you people so sure of Jonathan winning votes in the North and South West.?.What weakness in the rule permits one taboo but not the other. This is why I am worried at the mental state of most commentators. |
Johnpaul88:I think differently, Igbos should not vote GEJ strictly because an Ibo man should be on the seat within 8 years. This is not possible at all with another GEJ term in office. As far as FG projects are concerned, the people of the east are masochistic that way. They voted Obj against Falae and he rewarded them with zero, GEJ is also gave them zero plus a promise of a bridge but lots of appointment. Trust the Easterners brain to disconnect when naira starts flowing into private pockets. |
kenrish2:Ask yourself why Jonathan is still running ?. Why did he not look for an easterner with pedigree and capacity. Is Peter Obi not smarter than him?..is Rochas not more charismatic? . Would this not have been a checkmating move against the ever possible Buhari run?. One important thing about people who are not capable of greatness, they find it difficult to make sacrifices for anything. Muscling himself into the presidency with his very clear baggage was greedy and is just to destroy his party |
RedEboe:Okay by the same ridiculous argument I put Imo and Rivers for Buhari |
MrJanuzaj:Buhari will take one or both of Benue and Plateau |
The thing is going to bite hard in January. NOI herself might resign. The oil price might hit another $55 a barrel and Naira will be further devalued. The stock market is already in catastrophic free fall and Dangote for instances $7bn poorer. This will peel off support for Jonathan further. Even if the next elections are rigged for Jonathan (we hope not), unbelievable trouble will be the consequence. The lesson; if you are in government, lead with the fear of God. |
tbaba1234:I expect a landslide for Buhari. You are already hinting at it already. Jonathan probably has more projects completed now than he had in 2011 yet you are expecting a ''close election''. Please admit it. The ship has sailed Buhari-wards and we should prepare for a change of government in February. |
mikeansy:Buhari is taking the entire SW and Edo and will make inroads into SE and SS. Northern PDP and APC governors in the North will be unwilling, unable and scared to rig for him as they did in 2011. Lagos is still APC and Jonathan is no son of the soil in Edo and Rivers. |
anonimi:What performance?. Take a sheet of paper and subtract the infrastructure and programmes put in place by state governors and you realize they have taken you for a ride. The only thing I have for Jonathan are Agric A+ and Railways B-. All the rest are F9 including security. |
This man is effective in stealing. He did a lot in Bayelsa in that regard. He was not a year into his first term when they manufactured the Malabu oil stealing of Shell oil block payment. |
Orikinla:Jona, Jonah, Jona..how many times did I call you? Pack your bags for Otuoke immediately. You have been weighed in the scales and found wanting. Your minister of finance says it was because of software glitch that the workers have not been paid for three months. What low IQ government does not pay workers around Christmas time with elections in February?. A government led by a fisherman from Otuoke would be that kind of government. |
Nobody is buying all these anti Buhari propaganda. Jonathan is going and nothing is going to change that. Informed observers only give him clear wins in 11 states. Buhari has 25 states. No astute political observer should still be looking at this election as too close to call. As for me I am preparing myself and family for a new government that is sane, corruption free and Spartan. Even that has its challenges but it is much better than a government led by a weak, clueless and decadent guy. |
There wont be a stalemate. Its 75%:35% of total vote cast projection for Buhari. Also 25:11 states won clearly. |
emiye:Any time we come to detailed analysis, you guys quickky substitute PDP for Jonathan knowing the President is unsellable on his own. Let me give you an education, there is no PDP that is going to help Jona in the presidential election. |
Please stop calling SW battle ground. The SW hates Jonathan. Where the PDP has a strong candidate such a candidate might do well in his own election but Jonathan is majorly unacceptable in SW,NW,NE and NC. The battle ground states are Rivers and Imo. |
