Politics › Re: An Incumbent President Has Never Lost In The History Of Nigerian Politics by Adminisher: 5:46pm On Dec 31, 2014
It will happen again. Incumbent presidents have lost elections and clearly and rigged the results many times in Nigeria but this time INEC will be under close watch.
Politics › Re: My Only Reason For Supporting APC/GMB - A Nairalander by Adminisher: 2:10pm On Dec 31, 2014
I am actually voting out GEJ. The PDP is a highly corrupt party but the weaknesses of GEJ amplifies the problem. The PDP was able to assemble a few but impressive honours list of ministers who have performed real well. Ministers like Adesina, Johnson, Aganga. Most of the other ministers are very heart bad and utterly corrupt.
What the PDP has been lacking was a stubborn, nasty leader like Obasanjo to put things under some control in terms pilot corruption and performance management of the very bad minister's like Moro. This Good luck has not been able to do and the result is that probably $200billion has been stolen under his watch, power generation is low, roads are in bad shape and we now have a new debt of $39billion down from a surplus of about $65billion ECA when Obj left.

This is transformation?. The rail line you are talking about is older than Nigeria itself.Thank God for Chinese aggressive marketing and need to sell their ancient stock of trains we now have a few more locomotives and coaches. Mist supporters of GEJ are Abacha era kids who don't know anything and don't travel so they are to be forgiven.

Unfortunately Buhari and Osibanjo do not believe in these points listed below

1) Resource Control

2) Fiscal Federalism

3) Privatization

4) Political Federalism

5) Decentralization of Nigeria

6) Restructuring of Nigeria

6) Institutions giving detail account of their financial/other activities to the public through their websites/panels for public scrutiny every 3months.

Which are the fastest route to

I) economic diversification,
ii) citizenry prosperity
iii) political stability
iv) reduce corruption

These 7 points are the basis of True Federalism which can help Nigeria become a Super Power and a first world Nation.
All these seven points are supported by the APC. The man who could have implemented all these was GEJ ( which I used to think was the transformation agenda before I was corrected that it meant the borrowing off Chinese money to build belated infrastructure while stealing from the budget for same projects directly) anyway as usual nothing was done on the real national transformation while he passively waited for instructions from the Godfathers which apparently now include IBB.

I'm sure the first thing he would do is to diversify the Economy.

Good luck cannot manage Nigeria under a $55 a barrel scenario, including all the struggling to find buyers, sell with discount kind of crude oil marketing condition. There is no more money to dispense as patronage and unions are going to be screaming mad next year. In fact the PDP is the weakest party to be in Nigeria starting 2015 and many members are going to peel off. The imperative for saving, corruption reduction and recurrent expenditure reduction are too strong to have a wasteful decadent party in power. Most of the top members already know this and are running away...the people eating from the crumbs of their crumbs like you the supporters are always the last to wise up but you will

Who doesnt know this. The republicans have taken over the upper and lower chambers during Midterm elections. The Hispanic voters, who voted massively to ensure obama's second term, did not turn out massively again to cast their votes for democrats congress candidates. This trend is naturally expected to play out during presidential elections and this will hand over power to the republicans. I don't need to be a prophet to know this; i only need to watch CNN. Tell the mr prophet to tell us d particular year a female president will take over, then his prophesy may have some value.
This prophecy may also be false. The American economy is booming finally. Immigration reforms will still peel away voters from Republicans and if the Democratic party presents a woman for office they have won it.
Politics › Re: Nigeria 2014 In Review - Epic Questions Begging For Answers by Adminisher: 7:21am On Dec 31, 2014
Answers:

1. Your president has a dirt poor background, he does not value human life and it means nothing that young graduates died. The same way the Chibok girls did not affect him. He is still shocked to this day that the world is making noise over about '200 ordinary girls' and a few 'job seekers that died looking for jobs'.

2. The pump price will not come down because the President is a half educated floozy sustained in office by the few billionaires who have bought and paid for him completely. When they have made another N1 trillion collectively they will hold a meeting and 'instruct' the FG to bring down the price.

3. Same answer, the government has levied an unfair tax on the people through the administration of the subsidy. Now this subsidy thing might land Dumbo and Dieziani in prison in the near future.

4. Yes, the budget is 91% recurrent and 9% capital expenditure. We are eating our future today. Meanwhile you Presidp does not know jack about the policy thrust, sectorial allocations and level of debt funding for the budget. For the second tome running he has refused to read it because half of his own party want to boo him in public. Meanwhile the idiot is running for elections in less than two months and still hopes to win.

5. Presidential Jets. - This is actually coming from lack of core values and inferiority complex. The sales men who market these jets are very connected. Most ex prime ministers in Europe, serving European prime ministers, us senators and so on pile pressure on governments on behalf of aerospace companies to buy the jets. A strong leader should be able to say no. Most executive jests in the presidential fleet are wasteful cost centers simply swelling the recurrent budget . The most interesting case is the air force NAF that has more executive jets and choppers than combat aircraft, they bought 7 executive jets and choppers last year when there were no planes to bombing Book Haram effectively.

6. Let us keep quiet about slashing salaries till after elections.

7. Farouk Lawan and Stella Oduah will be re prosecuted during the Bunari presidency. GEJ is keeping corrupt people close and will try to scare them into giving him support with the story that Buhari will jail them if/when he domes to power. However the overwhelming masses of the north want Buhari. The hold of the rich/big men who direct the almajiris where to vote was broken by the de mystification brought along by terrorist Boko Haram organization and the perceived involvement of many PDP governors, so most northern politicians may lose their loves if they oppose Bunari directly.

8. The immigration money will never be refunded.

To expand on (7), there is a real big problem in the north. If the elections are rigged against Buhari there would be a revolution the kind we have not seen before in Nigeria. So we should pray votes are not tampered with.

tit:
where is his "school certificate" or any academic award given to Buhari by the US War College?
Nobody is doubting that buhari saw the walls of US war college, Mons and many other martial institutions.
his problem is to produce any educational qualifications he may have.
Platoon leaders course is not an educational qualification.
Ok your problem is clear to me now. Your perception of education is an academic one where the person comes out and applies for jobs in the civilian sectors of the economy. Also Nigeria and India used to be ridiculed a lot for their overdependence on 'paper qualification' in assessing people for jobs instead of true skills so you are to be forgiven for making that mistake. I expect that you have quite a lot of paper in your drawer as well. Anyway please take it from us that most military institutions are above universities in the quality of first degree professional education they provide.

Even with Quota System, Buhari does not have a Primary School Certificate.

We know back in the days, especially with northerners, that you did not need any academic qualification to join the military. So Buhari rose via the ranks, straight from an almajiri school.

He has refused to show his academic certificates because he has none.

How then did he contest in the past 2-3 presidential elections?

It is now clear that Nigerians get the leaders they deserve.

Imagine considering a STARK illiterate to lead Nigeria in the year 2015? And imagine a law Professor willing and ready to deputize for such a STARK illiterate? Does Nigeria not have a minimum academic requirement to be a president, especially with the current globalization of everything earthly?

APC is evil for foisting us with Buhari, when they could have fielded Fashola, El Rufai, Kwankwaso or Tambuwal.

Nigerians will be superlatively dumb, idi/otic, hopeless and lost, should they vote in Buhari.
You are the illiterate posting this thrash. What is quota system?. I am sure when Buhari was in Primary School there was no Nigeria existing and quota system only came after the Gowon regime. Not knowing that shows your educational level. Also calling Buhari a stark illiterate is just being disingenuous, the man attended some of the world's best military universities. If you compare the standard of education then to the unemployment generating mis education you have you will weep for your generation. Too much has been stolen from you and you don't know it yet. The incumbent President with his Phd. continues to into question the quality of Nigeria's education but I suppose that is of no consequence to you.

Your nemesis cometh. Buhari will live longer than GEJ. He is a Spartan and he has no history of drinking like Abacha. Unlike Babangida and GEJ himself who rush abroad for treatment that has not happened. He will also not allow himself to be poisoned like Idiagbon so it a lot of misery come upon Jonathan forces.
We understand that some people have a mortal fear of this Buhari guy but there is nothing you can do. He is the next PRESIDENT come 2015 and the dread of heaven and earth is upon the PDP and Jonathan supporters when that happens. Wishful thinking will not help you, false stories will not help.

The APC did not field Fashola because the destruction they are planning for the Jonathan government is more serious than you think. Fashola is good and even Amaechi is very good for VP. However a sharp knife has to be driven into the back of Clueless and his corrupt government, that knife also has to be twisted even when embedded in the flesh that is why Buhari is running. Politics › Re: Akinjide Attacks Buhari For Truncating Lagos Metroline Project by Adminisher: 11:19am On Dec 30, 2014
This is sentimental rubbish and a load of falsehood. Jakande who started metroline did not have money to fund even his free education. He built poultry sheds for classrooms and was going to take an excessively high amount of foreign loan to finance the metroline. A courageous government said NO. Jakande later became almost chief minister during Abacha regime and yet could not convince the FG to revive the project.
The Buhari/Idiagbon regime was a sophisticated one that did not play to the gallery. Can anyone alive tell us any functioning metroline project since independence?. Even the trumpeted ones in Portharcourt and Lagos are still barely 60% completed.
Half educated people can say anything they like about the metrolline project but anybody who knows anything about project management will understand it was badly conceived and poorly financed.
