Politics › Re: 2015 Presidential Election - A More Objective Prediction Of The Outcome by Adminisher:
aletheia:
OP. You been try. But run your model again but with Jonathan winning in Lagos, Ekiti, Oyo, and Osun states which is a more accurate reflection of the reality than Buhari winning in all the SW states.
What gain is a model based on fantasy. Lagos, Oyo, Osun are lost to PDP. Ekiti is also lost. The most concern that should be shown by APC is for Oyo State where there is always a tendency for Ibadan people to rock the proverbial boat. Yet the brand power of the Buhari/Idiagbon regime helps the general even here.
What we all agree though is that Jonathan is not of the political weight to do achieve anything outside SE and some parts of the SS.

What a prediction skewed in favour of the dictator grin grin grin fact is SW,NE and NC is a battle ground for votes for both PDP and APC and no party is assured of any victory until after the 14th. SS and SE is definately for GEJ and NW for Buhari. There is also no way Tinubu can defeat the federal might,Bode george,Obanikoro ,Agbaje and the majority votes from SE & SS based in Lagos
It is annoying to read someone post that SW and NE are battleground states. This is being in denial to a very ridiculous degree.Jonathan has never won in those areas of his own merit. In 2011 we put a nonentity in Aso Rock because a cabal was bullying him and people like Obj, Tinubu and the elders of the PDP did not have a consensus for an immediate replacement. He was 'instructed' to agree to a single term and he gladly accepted. Prodded on by his more aggressive advisers and recipients of his patronage he reneged on the deal and now feels he actually has a political machinery and populist appeal. BIG JOKE. PDP actually owns the machinery that has now fallen apart since the crises that came up in 2013 and are still continuing.

Evil Buhari cancelled the project even when it was a state project. Even though there was steep penalty in the project contract in case of cancellation, sadistic Buhari still went ahead and cancelled the project.

Today Lagos is still suffering from the effects of that cancellation with traffic jams everywhere.
Buhari cancelled it for good reasons. Lagos State did not have the money then. There have been dozens of administrators and governors since Jakande who never revived the project for the same reasons. Jonathan himself did not revive it in cooperation with Lagos State. On the other hand one is still planned for FCT Abuja (if they can find the money). Pleas do not blame Buhari for a very wise decision. The whole reason for lagos BRT was that money was not immediately available the metroline that is being constructed now.

Do not trust the OP!

This is the new trick. "They are both the same, don't vote them", all in a bid to sway undecided voters because they notice Buhari is gaining followers by the day.
The OP tried but he is not convincing. Let him do a little bit more, maybe that will convince us to shift our position that the presidency is invested in a PERSON. A person who has to be competent, strong, wise, intelligent and corruption free. It is not invested in a party or a region. Jonathan had the chance to take the sails off enemies of his party and his vision for Nigeria by stepping down within PDP for a more qualified candidate, maybe even such a candidate from the south, in fact particularly from the south to seize the sails from the opposition. This he did not do and thereby destroyed all geo political arguments that could have been made against Buhari.

SS/SE may not have a free day of rigging like 2011 where Buhari, I could call independent candidate , was mercilessly rigged out. This is a new era. The guy is now contesting under a party with structure so you people should expect a different outcome.

12million against 22million with massive rigging both South and North was commendable. PDP is loosing sleep because they know the red card is about to be drawn out.
Buhari was an outsider to Nigerian politics in 2011 and key members of the political class and military who organised the return to civil rule after Abacus were too scared of him. It takes a royal screw up by Jonathan to create this ripe condition for the general's return

buhari will not win.
Yes. South East is not important at all in 2015. It is not an attempt at derision, it is a fact.
N. Central, South West and the State of Rivers will decide whether Buhari or Jonathan wins.
Politics › Re: Buhari Organization Backs Mutiny; Soldiers Are Free To Protest - Amaechi by Adminisher: 5:03pm On Dec 24, 2014
I am a Buhari supporter and would be voting for him however I think APC is wrong. Let us not destroy our army. Any mutinous soldiers should be shot. Any soldier disobeying orders in war time should be shot. What the APC should be saying is that corrupt generals chopping equipment money, denying young gallant soldiers weapons and ammo because of their pecuniary considerations should also be probed and sacked from the army. Indeed military corruption should be a capital offence.
Politics › Re: Property Seized By Boko Haram Seen In Chad by Adminisher: 4:47pm On Dec 24, 2014
You guys are not seeing the irony and the ludricruosness of the entire situation. We have a very very bad President in office. Never has Nigeria been so passive and defenceless in the west African region. It is a very bad precedent we are setting with our neighbours. They smell our weakness and decadence. How can Boko Haram smuggle millions of Naira worth of Nigerian citizens private property into Chad without their government not being aware

Politics › Re: Apc Vs Pdp: Which Parrades More Intellectuals??? by Adminisher:
PDP is a party largely made up of corrupt businessmen with a few internationally exposed technocrats like Adesina, Iweala, Johnson. Being intellectual does not require a degree or PHD. There are no intellectuals in the PDP. The APC is different in having many folks you could call intellectuals.

I mentioned this program about one year ago when some ignoramus was saying Buhari was all action and no speaking skills. This program is about taking and dishing out in a classy British kind of way. I think Buhari handled it well. Obasanjo on this program was almost lynching the moderator, bullying and lying freely. Borno State governor was curt and very sharp. Wole Soyinka always gets a free pass from all the moderators, they like him too much, Pakistani military president then was also abrasive. I think GEJ on this program would be interesting to watch.

He is the only one in the leadership class who shows depth. The most disappointing of all is my hero, General Gowon whose main ideology in old age is AGIP any government in power. We need to see Gowon' s memoirs, Shagari should write and challenge govt., Ekwueme should rock the boat a little. These guys are disappointing man and God. To be a retiree leader and Keep quiet mumu-ishly when things are falling apart is sad. IBB, complete disgrace. When Abacha was killing, stealing and daring, Babangida did not as mush as whisper a word of criticism. This conservative attitude is unacceptable.

The song goes thus, ‘Do something new in my life and do something new in this country’,” Obasanjo declared.

The whole hall went into jubilation as shout of “Sai Buhari” rent the air as Baba continued in his song which changed the tune of the programme.

Honestly, I am confused. Does that song endorse Buhari directly or even indirectly?
I think the reporter eembellished a little. However Jonathan must go. Interestingly his new campaign manager is Ali must go. Is providence telling us something?.

Nigeria is now Africa's doormat. The Presidents of Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and Zimbabwe have all insulted the country's leadership in subtle ways at various times in 2014.

Also GEJ also said boko haram are in his cabinet.
Ooh was that why you killed Aziza?
Ooh was that y u wanted killing buhari in kaduna with bomb?
The guy is really crazy. Foaming at the mouth posting trash. Buhari is one of the living heroes in a country where a president has to take three trips o Chad to beg and inferior head of state to help him find children stolen under his watch. A country where less than a dozen young guys could dupe the presidency and DSS about a phantom ceasefire and collect money from them. Crass amateurs without pride or shame. When Buhari was GOC this kind of thing was nipped in the bud before it became a festering sore. Now it's two bomb blasts in two days and some people want intelligent citizens to queue up in Sun and rain to return that hapless presidency. God forbid. Nigeria will not be limited by the IQ of its president. We will change Jonathan in two months time.

RIP Sir.
If you want that to start happening do something about it. Start something online to create the wave, then build critical mass of people and that is it. Jonathan and his generals are at the end of their teether, they have lost the plot and stolen themselves into sheer stupidity. The army is buying second hand tanks and the airforce does not know which combat jet to buy and how to engage with civil authorities to get what they want.
So it is rank amateurs led by an underexposed and leadership-challenged president sending these poor guys into battle. I believe civil society guys who feel strongly about the sacrifice they are making should start a honours toll online with independent with tracking the payment of benefits to family, volunteer scholarship schemes the kids et.c

They are those playing ethnic politics and thereafter point at GEJ. in any case they are few. and they are known and are well factored into the plan.

In fact they are being foolish by pretending to be who they are not and every one is aware.
This is the same old 'they know that we know they know'. The leverage FG has is EFCC on some of the governor's but lukewarmness to GEJ's campaign is just as bad as supporting the opposition. I don't see GEJ on that seat in February he has burnt too many bridges, broken too many promises and his backers are not strong enough.

This is very very dangerous for Ihejirika. If he is confident he has no skeletons in cupboard no evidence of corruption that can be brought up in court and used as evidence to defend Davies's accusations then all well and good. However, any thing to the contrary in terms of hidden billions or hundreds of millions will be dragged out and used to tarnish him. Once you create enough doubt from the financial standpoint then the case can be thrown out and his political career dies stillbirth. The FG will also be surely embarrassed by facts dragged out in this case.

This is where you carry falsehood into the domain of downright stealing.
