Tattooboy:Please tell these people abeg. Maybe we should be asking why PDP also pairs Christian with Muslim for Presidency or why GEJ is always running with Sambo. |
This was a big mistake. You can have good relationship with Israel without standing in the way of Palestinian Statehood. This is just going to worsen the middle east crisis and we will pay for it. Israelis are not even Christians so what is the biggie?. |
sublimes:...are you aware that the 'independent' judges and Judicial Commission members are appointed by the President?. |
Isiterere:The APC has it covered. All attempts to rig will be exposed by sophisticated IT tools. A lot of foreign advisers are coming and some perpetrators of the rigging are actually working for the opposition. |
Reyginus:Much better. If you dont know that you will make me weep in sympathy for you. In 1975 I visited my aunty at UI, I had to phone the room from the reception, I was called up into what would be a three star hotel now with only two people in the room. When her husband started work he bought his brand new Peugeot 404 car after the first year. Traveling abroad was so common place, Sabena Air used to do almost daily flights loaded with Nigerian market women who could still speak good English to shopping centres in Europe. Naira was 55kobo to the Dollar in 1977. I first experienced power failure in 1976 and it was major news, even in the villages power was mostly regular. In Primary school, we had free government subsidized lunch on zero school fees, secondary shool I had free books throughout 1975 to 1979. Even the removal of subsidized lunch from universities in 1980 was a very big issue and caused problems for the middle class. The long and short of it is so much as been stolen from the young generation by so few in so short a time and they either don't know it or they even welcome it. |
WhiteTechnology:Believe me the game has changed. Oil price is going to average $55 a barrel in 2015. Millet, cocoa, sorghum, cotton, cassava and many agric products will knock off oil exports as main revenue earner. If you tally all the new projects coming into the oil industry in North America alone you will realise that oil price cannot go up again. Even leaving shale oil, Canadian oil sands represent that highest reserves of hydrocarbons in the world. The long and short of it, the Niger Delta Shakara is coming to an end and they would not be permitted to steal and export any oil illegally through theft by the incoming Buhari government so it is checkmate in any case there is no demand for the oil anyway. I think people should go and do some work for a change. |
Buhari is beating Jonathan on the streets as well. Talk to taxi drivers, bus conductors, market women and students. |
funkiebully:Why do you think God could not have given the man a new message. There is a shift in the world, you people should understand that. Everything you think 'was' is going to become 'is not'. |
tonychristopher:Okay. Let me let you in on some secret. The oil market don die. We are struggling to sell oil. Nigeria's oil exports has shifted offshore. Shell is leaving the onshore Niger Delta and they have sold their assets to local companies who are already regretting it because of the oil price crash to $55 a barrel. Nigeria is probably producing as much as 900, 000 barrels offshore. So since that is essentially all we can sell abroad, katakata don burst be that. Your 'saviour and Jesus Christ' , low IQ president and the beautiful madam did not develop new refineries and have frustrated the people they gave licenses to build. This was because some people needed to keep robbing Nigerians of N2 trillion per year in fake oil subsidy repayment's. So bad international oil markets, no production from onshore Niger Delta, no refineries, hungry militants, confused presidency that is what another Jonathan term promises. What I am saying is let us save ourselves the PUNISHMENT. Buhari is the answer. |
tonychristopher:BokoHaram was caused by the PDP. The PDP also caused the Niger Delta militancy. Please have COURAGE to accept the truth. If there had been no PDP these problems would not have gotten so bad. Odilli, Ibori, Alams supported and financed ND militants. Northern PDP politicians turned a weird sect into blood thirsty terrorist group and Jonathan has been very very mediocre in dealing with it. Nigeria lost about 200 people per day throughout the year, is that a country that has a president?. This has been a LAZY, CORRUPT, DRUNKEN Presidency and chickens have come home to roost. |
tonychristopher:Jonathan did not cause oil price crash but he cannot MANAGE THE CONSEQUENCES. That is the point being made here. There is no money to steal anymore. Let him leave the place for someone who has managed Nigeria under the arduous conditions we are going into. What would be the justification for spending N350billion on militants in the current economic regime we are entering?. Please tell me how this government is going to run with the problems we are having?. Does he have the liver to tell Tom Polo that money has finished? What of the Unions who will come up for Salary increases because of the exchange rate and inflation. Admit it, the game is over and the masses are going to be very angry in 2015 |
blemon44:Ordinary Abacha got the country running at $11 a barrel and that was a miracle. Your man is the most unintelligent president in the history of Nigeria. You are un-exposed that is why second hand diesel trains, inadequate PPP infrastructure projects financed with Chinese money that my children will have to pay and half completed air ports are confusing you. Think of $60billion times 6 years; that is the money that Nigeria has made in six years from oil, gas, agric exports and taxes which is $360billion or N60 trillion. Please use your intellect to ask your self if you dont deserve at least ten times what you have gotten from the federal gov't. Please leave out state governments achievements even though we know Jonathan has been claiming credit for what a lot of state gov't have done. Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Osun, Edo and AkwaIbom are some of them The BOKO HARAM war is bleeding Nigeria of N5billion a day because this Nincompoop of a president is too scared shirtless to call Generals to order and get value from them. Nigeria is now the most disgraced country in the world in terms of defence, the Chibok girls are missing, corruption is high, $10billion is missing and I have to go vote again for CLUELESS??. GOD FORBID !!!!!!! GMB 2015 - 2019. Nigerians are not fooools. You can't 419 a 419er. Good luck should go home is time is over. Everything comes to an end. |
tonychristopher:A lot of you guys supporting GEJ have the following problems 1. Tribalism 2. Lack of understanding of how much Nigeria has made compared with what has been put on ground. Oil price was highest for GEJ and has now crashed catastrophically. 3. Fear of the North 4. Fear of Buhari 5. Participation in the looting of Nigeria |
blemon44:This is guy is a bad market. His good luck is personally appropriated. He was not good luck for Alamieseyah and Yaradua. He is not good for Nigeria. We have lost N20trillion since this guy became president. Oil price was high... that was why he was able to do some things but he has returned us to a debtor nation. I am watching a program on channels TV and the question was ''what have we done with the surplus'?''. Please.. Nigeria is a very intelligent country. We usually can smell fake a mile off. This man you are seeing in the picture is FAKE. He does not know half of what has been credited to him and cannot manage Nigeria at $55 a barrel oil price. The same mistake the country made with Obasanjo especially the political class in the SE voting him in place of False. In four years they were cursing the man butnit was too late. Stop thinking tribally get this fake smile off the office of President. Think of your Children even those unborn. Get the fake clueless man out of office. |
masterpower:Buhari does not have five wives. The seriousc one is the allegation against a Pastor. For saying Osinbajo sleeps with married women in his Church please go now and do restitution and also post a retraction and apology. Please do this quickly. |
Jonathan used to be OWNED by Dangote. He actually said so once to the hearing of peoplr. He even supported Jona against Obj at one point but the Dangote's kind of Godfatherism is high tech. He actually blows where the wind blows. If he feels the masses and a tidy proportion of elites have started moving away from a candidate then he will switch. Also GEJ does not need old money anymore. His cronies are now mainly from SS and SE have more than 1 trillion naira stolen from petrol subsidies flowing in the system. This fact is not lost on nirthern players who would chop the money and still vote Buhari. |
knowledgeable:The country's economic profile has alreqdy CHANGED so we need a new govt to go with it. If you listened to the budget, Okonjo;s not Jonathan you will find that they have taken the country full circle to 1983. Import substitution, defence of the naira, tariffs oh imports, and so on. The GEJ administration of 2015 jan and part of february is not the sqme of 2011. Only a new administretion can start the austerity and reduced expenditure regime. Caj GEJ curb spending?..no way. He has traded too much with pqtronage and will be asked to fupfill his promises by every party jemger |
dunkem21:LIAR |
So northerners hate Jonathan?. I completely accept this fact and wont accept any election figures giving him even up to 25% of the votes cast in any state of the north. That would be serious rigging. |
FastShipping:Even then he was already thinking of awarding contracts. |
mekaboy:APC has presented one of the best candidates in Nigeria. Comparing Jonathan to Buhari is a non starter. Jonathan knows nothing about leadership, is lacking in executive ability, lacks presidential carriage, does not have courage and is parochial in thinking ..manifesting limited vision. I have heard so much about Utomi, Donald Duke, Oshiomole, Makarfi, Fashola, Amaechi..and so on. These guys are good but fucking not ready. The president is not a glorified civil servant. There are sovereignty implications, vision communications and sheer gravitas requirements for president that you dont buy in the market. Abacha sacked the most powerful Emir in Nigeria. Muritala Muhammad supported South African liberation movements and Angola's MPLA against the entire western world. Buahari when he was head of state had a number of anecdotally interesting meetings with Margaret Thatcher standing tall against intellectual bullying by Iron Lady. The long and short of it was that Nigeria's leaders' mind was made up against taking western loans. Also at a time some years back, IBB (for all his faults) was called to help on the Darfur crisis, Obasanjo is an international resource person on many regional conflicts. These demands of leadership call on qualities that you cannot acquire by reading books or holding court with mediocre advisers you need to develop the qualities either running a business, being in the military or having mass social engineering and organization skills like Obama. GEJ has never been exposed to any of this. |
PLEASE ASARI DOKUBO,,KEEP ON SAYING THESE THINGS TILL FEBRUARY 14TH WE BEG YOU SINCERELY. ALSO ABUSE THEIR EMIRS, DERIDE THEIR WOMEN AND MAKE JEST OF THEIR CULTURE. APC might even have to pay you for this but please keep it up. |
You guys dont know politics. A party might be strong in an area but all that is zilch on election day if supporters don't come out to vote. If you are a GEJ supporter please take this prayer with you..." may all Jonathan supporters not come out to vote on election day". If that scenario scares you then you will understand why organizing the vote (which is not campaigning) is important in an area where a party is strong. |
YESSSSS. BUHARI IS THE MAN. |
Barzbarz:Buhari is popular all over the country. I agree that not all the flak against Jonathan is deserved, there are areas of the government that are good- agric, trade and investment, ICT and transport because of some good ministers however Jonathan's, presidency is probably the worst Nigeria has had when you look at it in terms of leadership, national unification, anti corruption, defence/security and international respect for Nigeria. It is almost as if we put a VERY BAD DRIVER inside a GOOD CAR. |
WhiteTechnology:This is actually very good left of centre economics. A US Democratic Party member or UK labour party member would make the same argument. Human capital is valued at 100 more than natural resources and more at least 50 times better than physical assets. India is making major $$$$s exporting ICT know how to the whole world. China is already transiting from the factory of the world to the next level. You spend $100milion training 400 engineers in the best schools in the world and those guys make $10million each working before they die, some of them will invent at different levels multiplying value to employers in manufacturing and services. Education is a winner any day. In fact to change Nigeria all you need is to improve education and technical training and then provide access to cheap loans followed by incentives to small scale manufacturers and there would be no stopping the country. What you don't do as a government is allow the money to be stolen by a few people who spend them on executive jets and have their kids ride around in G Wagon and become DJs. You will ruin your society in a very short time. |
JudismphD:Well this article is an old reaction to a Buhari lecture. Buhari has been giving lectures to civil society institutions for the past 30years or so. So first of all this takes away the illiteracy question ...but we also know about GEJ's ZERO record of giving lectures or public talks since the 15 or so many years that we have known him, so let us get that out of the way first. Now this Babatope guy is a Marxist- Leninist guy who turned coat to work for Abacha and got disowned by his political base. He has made good for himself but will never have credibility. All he has written about Buhari's lecture were sentiments shared well by Nigerians. Civilian regimes were corrupt and military regimes were less corrupt at least until IBB came. The coup against Shagari was regrettable but if you were around then, the corruption was getting really bad and the oil price was unbelievably low. Also the Shagari regime had rigged elections in the west causing an almost identical return to operation write. Umaru Dikko was running amok and people like Akinloye, Okadigbo and all, the rest were just getting too big for breeches while the president was too gentle to asset leadership. That was why the coup came. |
So I ask everybody. Is this a message from an unrepentant Islamic terrorist who has a grudge against western education or a disciplined but visionary president in waiting who knows that the power of Nigeria lies in its youth and will channel their energies positively to develop the country?. This is the choice we have. Against this we have a president who has squandered all the goodwill Nigerians gave him through over identification with the interests of a few billionaires, drunkenness, carelessness and lack of executive control of his administration and presidency. We have gone from surplus to deficit and we currently have a $39bn debt overhang growing by ten percent every year. The army has been disgraced, our girls are missing and the generals are corrupt. The CDS for instance cannot pass through the front door of his office . Nigeria's security and defence infrastructure was opened up untidily to all manner of enemies far and near when they finished spying on us the government threw them out and we are now moving eastwards where we should have been going in the first place. Let us vote out this corrupt, simpleton tool of a few business interests and vote in a real leader, tried and tested. GMB. |
coogar:GEJ is not as good as OBJ on multiple levels. Obi was bad, GEJ is very bad. |
The problem with PDP and power is that the more they spend the less power you see. GEJ's latest power minister a respected professor and metallurgist has been reduced to a very obvious liar when he is countered at every step by GMB's ''..met 3000MW, spent $30bn left barely 5000MW installed but 3000MW actual''... and it appears Buhari was right after all. |
This guy JONATHAN was never good enough for PRESIDENT. The man who made the mistake was Obasanjo himself putting his name forward as VP. Thinking back to this press conference in France, Jonathan should not even have gone. He just went there to make a fool of himself. How can France be calling an anti terrorist meeting of their former colonies and you mumuishly accepted the invitation as the only Anglo'm phone country at a time you don't even have all the facts and a plan?. The Chibok girls kidnap caught him by surprise and Patience also embarrassed him highly with her theatrics. What a man who is in control should have done was put in an extensive security operation to find the girls and Keep away from international conferences and meetings no matter how well intended. But then again, his government is one of very amateurish operators pushed forwards by a few local billionaires so one is not surprised. |
gabriel212:The average GEJ hater is very intelligent and capable of rational intellectual reasoning. This is why you were quick to figure this out. GEJ supporters are a little like their man, a little slow. |
