Politics › Re: Jonathan Lauds Corps Member’s N10,000 Donation To Re-election Bid by Adminisher: 6:27pm On Sep 19, 2014
Tunjasko: President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday expressed
gratitude to a serving member of the National Youth
Service Corps, Ezemagu Sunday Nnamdi, who was
said to have donated N10,000 to his re-election bid.
A statement by the President’s Special Adviser on
Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, quoted
President Jonathan as saying in his appreciation
letter to Nnamdi that he was deeply touched and
encouraged by the donation.
“Your gracious gesture is particularly gratifying,
coming as it does from one of our nation’s vibrant
and gifted youths who are our successor
generation and for whom our Administration is
unequivocally committed to providing the requisite
environment to optimally realize their tremendous
creative and productive potentials.
“As I carry on with the task of positively
transforming our country for its God-ordained
greatness and prosperity, I will continue to count on
the goodwill as well as the practical and prayerful
support of committed patriots like you,” President
Jonathan wrote to the young Nigerian, Ezemagu
Sunday Nnamdi who is currently serving in the
National Youth Service Corps.
Nnamdi was said to have sent the donation before
the Peoples Democratic Party adopted Jonathan as
its sole candidate in the forthcoming presidential
election in 2015.
Abati quoted the President as thanking Nnamdi and
welcoming his expression of faith in the Federal
Government’s ongoing efforts to reposition Nigeria
for sustained growth and development.
“The President assured Sunday and other young
Nigerians that he will continue to do his best in the
service of the nation in keeping with their trust and
expectations,” Nnamdi was said to have stated in
his letter forwarding his donation to the President,
assured President Jonathan of the continued
support of patriotic Nigerians and urged him to seek
re-election in 2015.
The corps member added, “Nigerians are behind
you. We see your good works in power,
transportation, education, housing, ICT, sports,
electoral reforms, observation of the principle of
federal character and the creation of investment
opportunities.
“The insurgents who are trying to destabilise your
Administration are enemies of peace and progress.
You will surely defeat them.

Goandie: Voting for d president is like betting one million dollars that akwa united will beat barcelona by 3-0.
The guy is a failure even failure will deny knowing ur president
Flat No.
I won't vote GEJ even if his opponent were TA Orji of Abia State. Most people don't realize the danger in giving this man a second term.
The few achievements of his administration can be ascribed to only 5 ministers. These people are not going to be around in his next term because of post sharing and other professional challenges waiting for them on the international arena.
So we then have GEJ and ministers like Woke which would be a disaster.
It would be Cluelessness x 2, Stealing x 3, Corruption x 4, Militancy x 5, Boko Haram x 6. Many people will die and many will go into crime and militancy yet the guy will still continue keeping face like some innocent baby being bullied by adults.

Julius48: The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase, we can report. The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”. She outlined several allegations against the pastor which we cannot publish for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.

Let your President come out and do something serious about Boko Haram. If you are his supporter please write him a letter. Tell him to get a grip on himself and not be a "walking corpse" they are using his image to make money. He should not go down in history as a weak, corrupt and decadent president, it is not good for the image of the SS. History is hard to expunge.

Once in a while somebody thinks before he writes for a change. Keep it up.

I'm not dazed by Ribadu's defection to PDP and I'm surprised that he's on his way to meet with the same people he sent to jail or once indicted like Bode George,Fani Kayode, Fayose, Igbinedon, Borisade, and Alao Akala. That's politics for you. He too was betrayed by Tinubu and other Defunct ACN bigwigs during 2011 Presidential election. Even lost in Lagos State where ordinarily he was expected to win. In politics, there's no permanent friend nor foe but permanent interest. Nigerian Youth should wise up and stop insulting one another on social media. Our disunity is what is giving politicians upper hand over us. When Jonathan wants to give out government contract, he gives it out to the
ex militants at the detriment of the people of Niger-
Delta. When Northern Governors want to give out
government contract, they give it out to few political
elite at the expense of the vastly populated Almajiris. PDP and APC are conglomeration of oppressors, exploiters and subjugators. Let's stop discussing about politicians and focus on developmental issues that willbenefit the East, West, North and South. God bless Nigeria! Mind you, I stand to be corrected!
Politics › Re: 2015 Presidential Election: How The Governors Stand by Adminisher: 2:36pm On Aug 26, 2014
That is not going to happen. The PDP as a party is even in better shape than GEJ himself. Many governors would be able to secure their states but won't be able to deliver it to GEJ and this would be in spite of what they promise.

Do you honestly think the President can win in PDP states like Kebbi, Katsina, Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Kaduna? Wake up my guy
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Should Be Allow To Capture More Towns Until After The 2015 Election by Adminisher: 12:46pm On Aug 25, 2014
The thread and entire post appears to be what it is. A badly conceived thread from an idle south eastern youth suffering from the same, narrow mindedness, parochial and stunted world view that led their region to starvation and defeat in the sixties. Who told you that the world would allow a clueless government to be so irresponsible to abandon civilians in the north especially women to a force like Boko Haram?. How do you know the military will not overthrow their leadership and government at the slight hint of this idea?. What of Cameroon, Chad and Niger, do you think they won't step in to take over the areas left for BH?..why do you think they will let BH loose on their border without intervention, what of France, UK and US?. And do you not think the world is not getting tired of the clueless one and is local minded government and all you his spare part seller children supporters?. Let me educate you, Nigeria is a great country, the people living up north are also intelligent members of the human race currently battling against an evil force just like the whole country, the same way Niger Delta militants were kidnapping Niger delta children and billionaires' wives..so it is something a responsible government should fight and defeat. If the GEJ Presidency cannot because of cluelessness, corruption and lack of exposure we will vote in somebody who has the charisma, single mindedness, strength of character and honesty. Somebody like Buhari.

As a matter of military strategy its pertinent the army continues its tactical withdrawal from towns in North East Nigeria and allow Boko haram to seize and control territories.
After the 2015 elections, the Army including the Airforces and infantry soldiers will launch operation BLACK CRAB to encircle boko haram and annihilates 80 percent of their fighting force in one single blow using the Assult helicopters, Jet bombers and ground troops.
Also a new Division should be open in the Nigeria army under the DSS where Civilians from other part of Nigeria can volunteer for one month military training and deployment to the north east Nigeria to engage boko haram fighters. Those Civilains will be know as NIGERIA PATRIOTIC COMMANDOS( NPC)
The rebel declaration of caliphate is a welcome development because it will open a new front in this war and make it a conventional warfare and not the endless guerilla war.
ThankGod Ifeduba T writes in from Anambra state
there cannot be any substantial response until after the Election. To crush boko haram we need total declaration of war against Boko harma. A DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST NORTH EAST NIGERIA and bring them under MARTIAL LAWS!
Any such move now will be seen as a clandenstine move by PDP to undermine Apc voting capability
Politics › Re: Video: SEE Nigerian Soldiers Running From Boko Haram by Adminisher: 11:58am On Aug 25, 2014
There is no propaganda necessary against Nigerian Army. The events themselves are enough propaganda. Nigeria is a decadent corrupt country governed by thieves. That is why Boko Haram is winning and disgracing your military. Stop deceiving yourself and smell the coffee beans, Boko Haram is gradually taking the country away from you and your generation.
The airforce leadership has bought about nine private jets and choppers in the last one month instead of combat aircraft. Is that the sign of a country that wants to beat Boko Haram?. If you were in the military won't you run away when generals are not buying weapons but private jets? Check the video and see all the weapons they captured from the military post. Could any civilian group do that to the military in the 70s and 80s? I think GEJ will realize too late the trap being set for him by people who are advising him to treat this with kid gloves or that he is going to gain politically from all this.

Would you stop this nonsense propaganda against our gallant soldiers. How do you proof that the 'soldier' is not boko haram acting Nigerian soldier? angry
This is wishful thinking. The PDP is sure of only 25% or more in only two States of the SW. The APC is sure of 25% or more in all states in the SW, all Northern States, Imos State and Rivers State. Please have the discipline to stop deceiving yourself and smell the coffee beans. The APC is also currently sure of taking Kano and Lagos States which are the highest populated states. The SW holds the joker in 2015 better advise your clueless one to start doing something to impress them otherwise it is back to Otuoke and there is till no NEPA there.

Politics › Re: President Goodluck Jonathan Is The Answer To The Prayer Of All Nigerians, Ribadu by Adminisher: 12:15pm On Aug 21, 2014
Ribadu has denied making this statement.

"With due respect to governor Amaechi, he is simply hungry for power and do not know how to go about it, except with money. I may not know how to become the President of Nigeria, but I know it's never for the highest bidder and it's never up for sale. It's an undeniable fact, that President Jonathan has done well for Nigeria in such a very short time, and I think he is the answer to the prayer of many Nigerians. I must not be President, but I have vowed to support anyone who shares the same vision I have for Nigeria. And take it from me, President Jonathan has surpassed my vision for Nigeria"
Politics › Re: Soldiers And Military Officers Deserting Borno by Adminisher: 12:09pm On Aug 21, 2014
There are some changes required in the Nigerian Army but the main problem is the CIC. We actually have the worst Presidnt in the history of Nigeria and this is without prejudice to some of the achievements of the PDP government in terms of FDI attraction, ICT and agricutture. The President by his personal nature cannot command the armed forces effectively and equip the airforce properly for instance. A few months ago his handlers brought in a sort of super minister defence but that one has faded away under the insubordination of the buffoon CDS a former CAS who has not flown a combat jet before in his life. Whether you want to face facts about your President or not, expect the Boko Haram goons to continue to make gains against the military until things get really bad enough and what needs to happen happens.

Honestly the government are not helping this men that volunteered themselves to fight for the nation.

My nephew came from Borno last three weeks, he said of the 14 passengers in the bus 12 are soldiers disguised as civilians deserting the army, some said they rather go and do okada in onitsha than be used as sacrificial lamb in Borno, one said his mother told him to leave and come back home, generally moral is low for the army in Borno for the soldiers

I have met an army officer that told me the major problem in this boko haram war is Moral is low among the soldiers, he said there is a soldeir killed in this BH crisis that his family were told to leave the barracks after some month with nothing , he also said there is. A wife of a young soldier that was killed in this Boko haram war and now the wife survives by following other men around the barracks, now do you think any soldier will sacrifice himself when he knows what will possibly happen to his family after his death..

Sadly this Boko Haram crisis has open the inefficiencies of the Nigerian army, the last time Nigeria was involved in an offensive war was in Biafra, that is why they are helpless, all the generals in Nigeria have never been to war, mind you peace keeping is never offensive.

My honest solution to this crisis is for the government to swallow it pride and contract the war on BH to the chadian army the way the french did in Mali, chad has the most rugged army in the region owing to the long civil war they had before stability came under idris deby. Boko Haram for the first time encroached on chadian soil last week I guess you all heard what happened to them, they were all captured and the entire 85 people they kidnapped in doron-baga were rescued, they BH know that the chadian army are ruthless hence they hardly encroach on them .

Most people that say Nigerian army are good don't really know them, the military in nigeria is one of the most corrupt institution, most of the officer if not all got to NDA through man know man, some are governors, ministers and perm sect children, is it this Ajebutters that you want them to go and fight war for you, most of soldiers joined because they want to brutalize civilians and be local champion, they never thought that a serious war like this will crop up, remember 99% of BH are bloody civilian that turn militant with little or no training, I wonder if this army can handle a full blwn civil war in Nigeria.

Before now the army use to tell us that BH are hiding among civilian that is why they are hard to be caught , now that BH have moved to the Bush is another story.

This government should do something {quote}

This commentator; I do believe is spot on; soldiers are deserting d aarmy; I know BTW ; this crop of soldiers have never witnessed war; n almost all miltary men; enrolled to brutalize civilians n become Local champions(we all knw dis) perhaps dey 4got d reality will set in;

I believe we have insiders (soldiers n officers) in dis house; pls come in n give us ur opinion; wat u think, (its an anonymous forum). So U well covered. Ugo ; n d rest we re waiting!!!
StPete: President Goodluck Jonathan will always be remembered for his declaration speech in 2010 where he stated that in his early days in school, he had no shoes and no school bags.

The president was recently spotted without foot-wear during a Strategic meeting with his staff prior to his departure for the US-Africa Summit in Washing DC.

Jonathan had travelled to the United States on Sunday, August 3, where he joined President Obama and about 50 participating African and global leaders for a 3-day summit for discussions that are expected to lead to greater progress in key areas such as expanding trade and investment ties, promoting inclusive sustainable development and expanding cooperation on peace and security.

I think his wearing no shoes is innate...you can't take that out of the Ijaw man lol
This is the most impressive picture I have seen of Jona and his style. In spite of myself I am actually impressed. The man actually works.
